The children have been sharing an open living space, lacking the comfort of a bedroom. A dedicated space has been created, but with only a single queen bed, it’s not meeting their needs. To provide stability and reduce tensions, the caregiver has requested twin bunk beds and a futon, which would fit in the available bedroom. These would give each child their own place to rest, promoting a sense of security - especially for one child diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, for whom structure and personal space are vital.

A Single mother of one young daughter and a full-time student currently pursuing her business degree. After experiencing several years of homelessness in Georgia, Jennifer recently relocated to Florida in search of stability and new opportunities. She and her daughter are temporarily living with a relative while she works toward securing affordable housing of their own. As Jennifer begins to rebuild and settle into her new environment, she is facing financial strain and is unable to cover many essential items for herself and her child. Additionally, she does not have access to reliable transportation, making it even more challenging to meet their everyday needs. Providing this family with some basic necessities would greatly ease their current burden and allow Jennifer to focus her limited resources on critical household expenses. The family is in need of the following items: hygiene products (body wash, toothpaste), baby wipes, clothing for the child (sizes 24-36 months), shoes (sizes 4/5), learning/educational toys, and bus passes to assist with transportation.

We are reaching out on behalf of a family currently facing a difficult and uncomfortable situation. A devoted grandmother, along with her elderly mother, is raising four children and doing her best to provide a safe, nurturing home.

Unfortunately, their air conditioning went out about a week ago, and with the Florida heat intensifying, this has become an urgent concern. The heat poses serious discomfort and even health risks, particularly for young children and seniors. Restoring the AC is now their top priority to ensure the well-being of everyone in the household.

A mother and her young child recently relocated from out of state following a domestic violence situation. Due to the sudden move, they arrived with very few personal belongings and are in urgent need of support. The mother is doing her best to rebuild a safe and stable life for herself and her baby but is in need of clothing and basic hygiene essentials. The child currently wears size 12 months and is in need of baby shampoo, diaper cream, lotion, and powder. The mother wears clothing ranging from extra small to medium and is in need of shampoo, soap, deodorant, and feminine hygiene items. Any support offered would be a meaningful step toward helping this family regain comfort and dignity during this transition. Thank you for considering this need with compassion.

This family is in urgent need of support as they navigate a challenging season. The mother has been hospitalized multiple times in recent months for psychiatric care, leaving the father as the sole caregiver for their three children. Their youngest child has a disability and experiences seizures, requiring constant supervision, which has made it difficult for the father to maintain consistent employment. As a result, the family has fallen behind on essential living expenses and recently lost their food assistance benefits. While CARES is actively working to help reinstate that support, the family currently needs immediate assistance with food, as well as basic household essentials. Providing items such as soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, diapers (size 6T), and a grocery store gift card would help relieve some of the burden. This support will allow the father to allocate his limited resources toward other urgent needs while ensuring his family’s basic well-being during this difficult time.

A devoted mother of four is working hard to provide stability for her children. Currently, two of the children are sleeping on borrowed mattresses that the friend is now asking to have returned. One child is sleeping on the couch, and the youngest is in a Pack ’n Play. With limited storage, the mother is using bins meant for decorations to store the children's clothes.

She is in need of three twin mattresses with sheets, a crib with mattress, and two dressers to help create a more comfortable and organized home for her family. The family is grateful for any support and is happy to receive gently used items in good condition.

The mother is working on reunification and will be reunifying with her 5 children and needs bunk beds as she is in a 2 bedroom apartment.
