A mother and her two young children are in need of the remaining amount of $ 195 for past rent. This family is in the process of reunification from foster care. The mother has been observed to be resilient and puts the needs of her two young boys above her own. A response to this request would be greatly appreciated. Families who come to the Children’s Advocacy Center often face long, emotionally difficult days. By the time they leave, both children and their caregivers are physically and emotionally drained and often in need of a meal. To help ease the burden during such a challenging time, we’re seeking donations of restaurant gift cards to places like Panera, Qdoba, and fast food chains. These simple gestures provide families with the comfort of a meal and one less thing to worry about. We are also seeking gift card donations to family-friendly places such as Craig’s Cruisers. These experiences give families a chance to reconnect, relax, and create positive memories after facing incredibly difficult circumstances. Your generosity will help families feel seen, supported, and cared for during their time of need!

A mom and her five children urgently need to relocate due to an escalating domestic violence situation. After leaving an abusive relationship four years ago and working hard to build a stable life, her safety has once again been compromised. She has made the decision to move to another state where she has supportive family and has already secured permission to transfer her housing voucher and end her current lease. The family would like to rent a U-haul to transport their household to their new location.A quote for the U-haul has been acquired and totals: $1,375.97 Gift cards to Walmart or Amazon ($300) would also be helpful in setting up their new home once they arrive.

We’re currently supporting an Afghan family with three young children who have not yet been able to secure employment. Their rent is quickly approaching, and we’re seeking urgent assistance to help cover the $1,270 due this Sunday. We’ve connected them with nonprofit organizations to help with essentials, but at this time, rent is the most immediate need. Any support or guidance you can provide would be deeply appreciated. Granddaughter has always wanted to begin driver's training the summer she was eligible, which would allow her a lot more independence, and with your support, she can still have that opportunity! This family has recently picked up and left everything they know to move to a better school district so their children can have a better education due to some issue the children were having at their previous school. Leaving behind all of their family and social supports has been hard physically and financially. This family is looking for a gift card to help purchase some personal clothing items for their growing family. This family has had to sacrifice comfortability for location to make sure their children have the best shot at getting a good education, but these sacrifices have led to this family having trouble affording a few basic needs for their children. This mother is asking for a gift card or two to help purchase personal clothing items for her children. If you can find it in your hearts to give, they would be very appreciative.

Bethany Christian Services has a satellite office in Allegan County where we are able to host parenting times. We have recently had several case referrals with younger children and babies. Our parenting time rooms are in need of additional baby items to support parents during their visits: bouncy seats, high chair, support to sit, etc. Families would benefit from some type of sitting apparatus for a baby to be in while parents are caring for larger sibling groups so the infant doesn't have to just sit in their car seat.

I am servicing a family in the Hudsonville area and they are without a lawn mower. The family has had to borrow lawn mowers from various neighbors to help keep their lawn in order. The family is facing fines from the trailer park if their lawn is not address. The family is looking for a lawn mower to be able to reliably take care of their own lawn. Hello everyone, I am servicing a family who is in need of 7 trailer windows. The family is already connected with Solid Rock who is willing to replace the windows in the home. Solid Rock has purchased the windows, but the family only has $500 allocated to the repair. The total cost will be $989. The family needs $489 more funds to pay for the remaining balance for the windows. The family has been living with these broken windows for many months. The family is getting pressure from the trailer park, or they may face possible eviction.

Our non-profit organization is once again taking part in the annual Back-to-School Drive in Ottawa County, a vital effort to ensure that children and families in our community have access to the essential school supplies they need to succeed.

We have a foster family that provided a home to two children last Friday for the weekend as the agency didn't have anywhere for the children to sleep and they were going to have to sleep in the office. It was found over the weekend that the children have lice, and they wet through pull-ups during the night. I would love to provide this family with a basket including maybe some extra laundry soap, paper plates, a gift card for pizza or just a few items to thank the family for going above and being in providing kind and loving care while these kids are in a hard spot. The family is continueing to care for the children past Monday as the agency is having a hard time finding a foster home to take them due to this lice. Because the children are already embarrased by the situation, a worker from Bethany will deliver the items. We are open to any suggestions of items, just want to acknowledge the family and thank them for going the extra mile and providing these girls a home.
