KVC is asking for your assistance to help a young mother of two who has worked tirelessly to meet all court appointed and KVC demanded tasks for the sake of her two very young children. The only thing preventing this family from reuniting and for mother to provide the best possible life for her two girls is a lack of refrigerator in the home. Please help make a family whole once again by donating a refrigerator. Once a donation is made, KVC can be secure in knowing that these two little girls are back with their loving and doting mother, in a safe and healthy home.

Please consider helping to strengthen this family if you have the opportunity! This family has five little ones all under the age of six years old, two of the children about 3 and 4 years old are currently sleeping on piles of blankets and clothes. The parents are unable to get bed frames and mattresses for these two children, but are able to provide bedding for them at this time while other supports have been given through DCF and the state. Second hand items are more than welcome, either twin sized bunk beds or separate beds would be outstanding to help improve the physical and mental wellbeing of this family. We're hoping for twin sizes so the children have room to grow, but if toddler beds are what you have available then we will gladly accept!

Please consider helping this single mother and her child if a secondhand, full-sized fridge is available to you! This small family has been struggling due to not having transportation and only having a dorm sized or mini refrigerator. During this heat wave it can be quite exhausting to go back and forth to the store to get more ingredients. While DCF is providing bus passes and other needs for this family, as well as the mother having other supports from the local/state government, any other supports for this local family are more than welcome in the near future! Secondhand items are most welcome!

This is a single parent with 6 children in the home. They have a physical disability, so the household's sole income is disability benefits. The family became homeless due to a decrease in benefits making their rent unaffordable. As a result, they lost everything. We at Impact Avenues were able to house them and replace a lot of their belongings, including new beds and bedding for everyone. However, they are still in need of bedframes for the 6 Twin XL mattresses. They currently have 7 people, and 7 beds, in just a 3-bedroom apartment, and the kids don't have the space needed in their rooms to do anything but sleep.

This family is in need of at least 2 (3 if possible) Twin XL bunk-bed frames for the children. These bedframes will give the children the ability to use their rooms to get ready each day, study/do homework, play, and even just walk across the floor. They'll have rooms that are no longer "just a place to sleep" but are a place they can finally call a room of their own; a place that feels like home.

A young family recently moved out of an unsafe living situation where the adults around them were not providing a healthy or responsible example for the children. They had been staying with extended family during a difficult season but have now taken significant steps toward creating a safe, stable, and flourishing environment of their own. They are working hard to build a better life and home for their children. We would love to ease their financial burden by providing them with a washer and dryer—an essential need that would help them maintain a clean and consistent routine for their family.

Family is requesting help with funds for the child to attend debate camp. This child has done well this school year with participating in his school debate club and has greatly improved his social and communication skills. This camp will be very beneficial for him to attend.

Our Agency recently became involved with a family, who just welcomed a precious baby last month! The family consists of the new baby, an elementary school aged child and the parents. The family is navigating systematic challenges, trying to learn local resources and obtaining whatever documentation those agencies require to receive support. Father was employed and bringing home enough funds to make ends meet, allowing mom to recover from childbirth and stay home with the baby. However, due to unforeseen challenges with his employer, father is now actively looking for a new job ASAP with the help of their case worker. The family does not have enough money to pay their full rent ($850), so we are desperately and respectfully requesting assistance paying $500. They are otherwise caught up on bills and utilities, so by supporting them this month- the church will prevent this from snowballing into a much bigger crisis!

This youth was recently released from Shawnee County DCF custody. At the time she was released from custody she has arrangements to live with her previous Foster care provider. This arrangement fell through on 06/11/25. She is staying with a friend until she is able to get a place of her own, open her Independent living case with DCF and find employment. She does not have minutes on her cell phone (Straight talk) and her friend is asking for help with groceries and household expenses while she is staying at her house. She has very few reliable natural resources. She is utilizing APPLA aged out case management services.

Single parent with teenage boy requesting help with a full-size mattress and box spring for her 16 yr old. Mother has a job but is also disabled so funds are low. Sometimes child will sleep in mom's bed when she is at work or is on the floor. Family is participating in additional services.
