A single mother of 4 children (3 minor children) is having a financial hardship. The mother was in a car accident and financially responsible for the damages. The mother was unable to pay for rent or utilities.

The single mother of 4 has been struggling financially after separating from her paramour due to past domestic violence. The mother is struggling to keep up with the rent and utilities and does not have a support system.

The mother is currently homeless, and she is in need of assistance for her and her child.

This single mom has a son and a daughter that are in need of clothing for school. She has been working so hard to make a living and provide for them. Her son is in need of Large men shirts, pants size 38/32 and men shoe size 9.

Her daughter is in need of large youth shirts, pants size 18/20 Women Shoes size 8.

Dad is a single father of two. He is the sole provider for his kids. He has been struggling financially. He has not been able to work the past month due to the kid's daycare getting shut down and not having anyone to care of them while he works. He has fallen behind on his FPL bill and the FPL was disconnect. This assistance will ensure the family of three are able to have electricity in the home.

I’m working with a family (mom, dad, and their 14-year-old daughter) who have recently fallen behind on their mortgage. The father has been a stay-at-home dad while the mother was the sole income earner, working as a civilian RN at the VA Hospital. In March, she was laid off during a mass reduction in force—just one week before reaching the two-year mark that would have secured her employment and made her eligible for severance. She has been actively interviewing, and the father is also seeking work but needs training after being out of the workforce for some time.

They exhausted their savings trying to stay afloat and recently became eligible for public assistance for food. As of this month, they can no longer afford their mortgage payment. Unfortunately, due to funding restrictions, CareerSource cannot assist with mortgage support since it’s considered an asset. We can help with transportation and training, but housing support falls outside our scope.

I have not been able to identify any other agency able to help with this need and am reaching out to donors and faith-based partners in hopes someone may be able to assist. Any support to help this family remain in their home would make a tremendous difference as they work to regain stability.

We are reaching out on behalf of a mother and her six children who are facing significant hardship following the loss of her partner in January. The family is in urgent need of clothing assistance, particularly school clothes for the upcoming academic year. They would be deeply grateful for any assistance with these clothing needs. New or gently used items in good condition would make an enormous difference in helping these children feel confident and prepared for school.

The client is a 40-year-old. The client is currently pregnant and raising her 12-year-old son and is experiencing significant stress and anxiety as she prepares for the arrival of her baby. She is navigating this pregnancy entirely on her own, without any support from the baby's father. She faces the complex reality of having to stop working, which has left her deeply concerned about her financial stability. With no nearby family to rely on, her sense of isolation is profound. Her worries are compounded by the real threat of homelessness and the fear of not being able to provide even the most necessities for her newborn, such as a safe car seat. Appropriate clothing, bottles, pacifiers, a baby bath, and essential hygiene supplies like diapers and wipes. The overwhelming burden of these unmet needs has left her fearful for her ability to care for both of her children. There is an urgent need for support to help alleviate her financial strain and provide the essential baby items she requires. Support from CarePortal would not only address her immediate concerns but also offer a critical sense of stability and hope for her family’s future. ****NOTE: Center for Family Services of Palm Beach County submits this request on the client's behalf. The client is a 40-year-old woman who is currently unemployed and caring for her 3-month-old infant. She enrolled in the Prenatal Plus Mental Health Program and began receiving services three weeks ago. During intake, the client identified her primary concern as significant financial hardship resulting from her unemployment. The client reported that her husband is currently employed; however, his income is only sufficient to cover their monthly rent. As a result, the client is unable to purchase clothing for her baby or other essential household items. The client is working on managing her stress in therapy and relying on her faith to let go of what she cannot control. The client is requesting clothing for herself and her baby (Size Large), as well as clothing for her 3-month-old baby girl (Size 3-6 months), a bouncy chair, baby items, household groceries, and a NutriBullet Complete Food Baby Blender.
