WRAP Around - Errands

This request is for a young mother currently experiencing financial hardship. The only source of income in the household is the birth father, who is working to support the family; however, the income is limited and not sufficient to cover all essential needs.

The mother is in need of the following basic items:

Baby clothing – Size 3–6 months, appropriate for the summer season

Diapers – Size 2

Hygiene supplies, including:

Shampoo

Toothbrush

Deodorant

Soap

Laundry detergent – For washing clothes for both the mother and the baby

Any assistance with these items would greatly support the family during this challenging time and help ensure the baby's needs are adequately met.

This is an IPA placement for a newborn infant (approximately 7 weeks old) who was removed from the biological mother due to substance use during pregnancy. The child was placed with her maternal grandmother, who had to stop working temporarily in order to provide full-time care. The infant will begin daycare next week, which will allow her to return to work and begin receiving income again. She anticipates being able to cover her monthly expenses starting next month. However, at this time, she is struggling to pay rent and utility bills for the current month due to her inability to work while providing care for the newborn. The caregiver has full custody of two other children, increasing her financial responsibilities. The caregiver is in need of temporary financial assistance to help cover rent and utilities for this month only. This is a one-time request to help stabilize the home and support the caregiver in maintaining the placement until she resumes work and income.

The legal guardian of the child is requesting support due to financial hardship. The guardian’s only source of income is a disability check, and she is currently unable to afford the following essential items:

A new refrigerator – The current refrigerator in the home is broken and not functioning.

School uniforms for the child, including:

Polo shirts (size 8, any color)

Skirts and pants (size 8)

Any assistance or referrals to community resources that could help meet these needs would be greatly appreciated.

The child is needing Similac Advanced formula. The biological parents have not been in contact and the placement option is needing formula for the baby.

The child is at high risk of being placed in custody. The caregiver is trying to provide the child with therapeutic services to address violent, destructive behaviors. The caregiver has reported a financial need for bus passes for herself and the child so they may take the bus to therapeutic services. The cost is an estimate for the two full calendar month local bus tickets. The passes will be utilized to attend therapeutic sessions to address the conflict in order to keep the child in the home.

A 36 year old mother of 5 children (11, 10, 9, 6, and 5) had to recently move to a new apartment due to a domestic violence situation that cause her and her children to be unsafe at the other location. The mother is needing assistance obtaining a bed for her 3 girls (11,10, and 5). The three share a room and is currently sleeping on an air mattress. The family is willing to receive any assistance that can be given. A bunk bed and a toddler/twin bed (with mattresses) could be beneficial for the family. The mother is currently looking for employment but also has had some transportation difficulties.

The mother has 8 children and is need of one bunk beds/mattresses to ensure appropriate sleeping arrangements. The mother also needs bedding for these beds. The family has financial struggles as a single mom.

Hello Care Portal Community and Supporters! I have a family that has run into a difficult situation. A father and mother have recently started new jobs and their first paychecks were held. This came right as rent is due and now there are late fees attached and rent plus the late fees must be paid within 3 days before the family runs into an issue of evictions process starting. The family cannot pay rent until they get their checks and they are not sure when that will be. The family does not plan on this happening again as it was a circumstance of starting their new jobs and those checks being held that they needed for rent. Would anyone be willing to help this family with rent this month?

The family has a child whose bed had to be thrown out due to bed bugs. This request is to assist the child with having a more accommodable living environment. The child currently sleeps on the floor with a blanket. The child is a part of a family of 5.

A family experienced a bad car accident that has left them stranded in Davidson County and they are from Mississippi. They do not have immediate family to pick them up and the car they were using is totaled. They are seeking shelter and will be entering in as of 07/08/2025 but would like to have 3 bus tickets to get them back to Mississippi. The ask is for 3 bus tickets.

This coming Sunday evening, Jonathan’s Path hosts a family-style dinner for youth in foster care or those who have recently aged out. It’s not just a meal — it’s a lifeline. These dinners give our youth a safe, welcoming space to be seen, heard, and connected. It's often over a plate of food that we discover who’s struggling with transportation to work, therapy and more, who hasn't had a hot meal in days, or who just needs someone to talk to or a hug.

This Sunday, we’re expecting 25 young people — and we need to raise $700 to cover transportation so they can get there. Most don’t have cars, many live across the Nashville, Murfreesboro, Lebanon, Antioch, etc,

CPS is currently working with a single mother is in need of rent assistance. The mother is currently without a job and the father was paying the bills but he has moved out of the home without supporting the family. Resource linkage has shared community rent assistance programs with the team working with this family. Any supports that can be shared with the mother while she is seeking employment is greatly appreciated!
