✨ A Mother’s Strength & A Simple Need ✨

Today we want to share a story that reminds us why we do this work.

A courageous mother in our program was recently reunited with her 8-month-old son after overcoming homelessness. She’s now in safe housing, working hard every single day to break the cycle—for herself and her baby boy. She's doing an incredible job healing, growing, and showing up for him with everything she's got.

But she needs a little help.

She’s in urgent need of a specific car seat—the one that fits her travel system. Because she doesn’t own a car, this system is her lifeline. It allows her to safely carry her son on long bus rides, healthcare transport, Ubers, and even on the mile-long walk to and from the bus stop she makes almost daily.

This car seat isn’t just a convenience. It’s safety. It’s freedom. It’s a mother trying to give her son the best she possibly can with the resources she has.

💙 A Fresh Start Deserves a Little Help 💙

We want to share the story of a courageous single mother who recently took a huge step forward. After experiencing homelessness, she entered the Pearl’s Hope program and has worked tirelessly to build a better life for herself and her 8-month-old son — who she has now joyfully reunified with.

When she arrived at the program, she brought all she could for her baby, but only had two outfits for herself and a single pair of flip-flops.

Today, she’s proud to be working as a cashier — on her feet for hours each day — and she’s asking for a small lift to keep going strong.

We have three kiddos in need of summer clothes, as they have grown out of their clothes from last year, and natural mother is taking some time off work with the birth of her new baby this month leading to tight finances. Sizes are boys 5T, boys 4T, and girls 3T. This family is also in need of baby boy or gender neutral clothing of all sizes, as they prepare for his arrival this month. Any help is appreciated!

This family is in serious need of a refrigerator. The family recently had a newborn child and they are currently storing the baby's milk in a ice chest. The family would appreciate a used, lightly used, new, old any type of refrigerator. The mother is a veteran and a great mother who is financially overwhelmed. The family is buying dinner by the day. This is an approved foster care kinship placement who is needing assistance with their water bill. The grandparents have guardianship of two of their grandchildren as well as fostering three children. They have had to take off work due to one child be hospitalized and have fallen short on their water bill. The bill is $290.42. Anything will help!

Hello all. We have a mother who is in Trial Reunification with her child and needing help getting to her scheduled appointments with her service provider. We appreciate you taking the time to consider this request.

This request is for a 16 y/o girl in permanent custody. She has recently moved into a group home after a lengthy hospital stay. She has grown out of her clothes and is in need of new clothes and underwear. Any help is appreciated.

I am working with a biological mother and kinship placement of a beautiful four year old girl and one handsome little one year old. Mom is attempting to engage in services but is facing many barriers. Her phone has been shut off due to no payment and she is not able to call to find out when she is supposed to submit for UA's (and more). She has not found a job yet and is struggling to provide diapers or wipes or essential items to provide for the children during her family visits. Foster Mom, grandma, is not able to help with the necessary items because she is not financially able. Mom needs assistance with her phone bill, a stocked diaper bag for the children (which would include nonperishable food items for growing toddler and big sister), and a gas card to ensure she is able to get to recommended service providers. Grandma could use help with diapers and wipes as well.

Mom and children left a domestic violence situation with very little belongings. Mom has found a wonderful place for them to stay, but just needs a toddler bed and mattress for one of the children. Mom has been working full time for a long time and is doing everything she can.

A family of 3 is in need of help paying their electric bill. Mom has made a lot of progress in her services and has been able to reintegrate the children back into her home and is now looking for a job. However, she fell behind on her electric bill and is in need of some assistance until she secures a job.

We are asking for assistance for a young mother who is working to reunify with her infant daughter. This mother has been struggling to maintain housing and does not have transportation of her own. She is now working 2 jobs and staying in a hotel. We are asking for assistance in the form of a Tulsa Metrolink bus pass to help her get to and from work, services and family time. I have foster parents who are caring for their nephew and their air conditioning has gone out for the second time and they're unable to to fix it or purchase a window AC unit of their own at this time. They would be extremely grateful to receive any assistance to help them get through the summer.
