Worker is requesting assistance for a local family of 5. The family had a water leak which resulted in an extremely high water bill. This bill impacted their ability to pay their car note, resulting in the car being repossessed. Worker is requesting assistance with obtaining funds to get the family's car back as this is their only means of transportation. The father is the sole provider in the home and the mother utilizes the vehicle to get the children to school and therapy.

I have a wonderful set of parents who are taking care of their own children, on top of being the caregivers for three more rambunctious and amazing children. This family needs help with groceries. Any help would be incredibly appreciated!

Resource Linkage is working with a single mother of 4 children, ages 11, 5, 3 and 2. The mother just moved into a new house which has exhausted a lot of her funds. She does have a job so she should be able to pay moving forward. After speaking with the landlord, he is giving her until July 7th to pay her rent or he will start the eviction process. The rent is $1,650. The landlord will take a check or a money order. The mother is also needing 5 baby gates and clothes for the children. The 2 boys wear sizes 10/12 and 12/14 and the 2 girls wear sizes, 3T-4T and 2T-3T. She could also use size 2 in boys shoes for a 5 year old boy. Any help with this request is so greatly appreciated. The mother does not have any support around here to help her so she is trying her best to do it on her own. The mother is also needing 4 twin beds with frames and bedding, 2 for toddler girls and 2 for tween boys. The mother is also in need of a washing machine as her just stopped working this past weekend. Any help with any of these items is greatly appreciated!!

we have a youth in custody that is a senior at creekwood high school. She is a member of the marching and orchestra band. The school has a $450 band fee that the foster family needs assistant with. She has been a member of the band since 6th grade and wants to finish her senior year in the band.

A mother is needing help paying her electric bill before 7/9 so it does not get shut off. Mother is a victim of domestic violence, dad is in jail and the one child was removed for bond conditions. The second child is at risk for being removed due to the bond conditions. There are no fees on the bill and this is a one time thing to help mom get back on her feet.

Youth was removed from his mother's home due to unsafe conditions. Youth is diagnosed with Autism and placed with father currently. Father was working two jobs to support the child. Father's work hours have been decreased due to having to care for the youth.

Father has been self-sufficient until his hours decreased. Paperwork is in process for father to receive youth's monetary benefits and will solve the current monetary needs.

The mother just received custody of her son again. She is a single mom and is trying to get back on her feet. She recently secured housing and employment but is struggling to make ends meet. She is in desperate need of a bed for her 13-year-old son as well as a washer and dryer.

JJ caseworker is working with a family who just lost their job. The father is looking for employment and in the meantime trying to keep the family stable and together. A 1 time pay on their electric bill would take a lot of pressure off of them and help them so much this month. The amount is $180.43 and it can be paid to CPWS. Resource Linkage is working with a single mother who just started a new job and moved into a 4 bedroom home. She is about to start a trial home visit with her 5 children. Due to the mother being a single parent and starting a new job, she is needing help obtaining a few things for her and her family in order to make this a successful trial home visit. The mother is needing 2 twin mattresses, 2 twin bedframes and bedding to go with it , 1 for a girl and 1 for a boy. She is needing a couch and some cookware. The mother could use some plastic sets of plates/silverware for her younger children if possible. Any help for this mom is greatly appreciated!

I have a hard-working mother who needs formula for her son. Her son is a very happy baby and has just started eating baby food as well as drinking formula. The mother needs help paying for formula for her son. The baby uses Similac Sensitive Formula. The family would appreciate any help!

Hi there and thank you for checking this request. I am a DCS Family Support Services case manager in Maury County and I have a family of six who desperately needs help with a special Amino Acid-Modified Food for three of the five children. The children cannot process protein and need a special formula to provide a protein substitute. The family is trying to get insurance in order to pay for this formula but the insurance has been pending for over a month. Each can costs $45 and the children need a total of one can per day. If the family does not acquire insurance in the next week, the children will be going into Tennessee DCS custody in order for the children to have insurance and receive the formula and other necessary medications. DCS Worker is requesting assistance for a bio family from Middle TN. Their child is placed in East TN over 6 hours away from home. The family is working towards reunification and is currently doing week passes with their child to help prove his stability in the community. They are driving to pick him up and bring him home every other week. The father is the sole provider in the home as mother's health concerns have impacted her ability to work. The family's vehicle is in need or repairs: remove and replace shock absorbar (rear), remove and replace strut (front), remove and replace transmission pan gasket, and wheel alignment. The Department has continued to try to assist the family with gas cards but the family's financial burden outweighs what's possible at this time. Case worker is requesting help with vehicle repairs to the family vehicle. DCS Worker has reached out for assistance from Mechanics on a Mission regarding car repairs and was told that they would need $500 to complete the car repairs! Car repairs will take place in the Franklin, TN area. DCS Worker is also requesting grocery gift cards for the family to utilize while traveling and when the child is home on pass.
