A single mother of three recently relocated to the Jacksonville area in search of safety and stability after leaving a difficult situation. With incredible courage, she is starting over to build a better life for herself and her children. As a former foster youth who aged out of the system, the client has no local family or support network to rely on during this major life transition.

Currently, the family is without basic home furnishings, making it difficult to create a stable and nurturing environment. The mother is in need of essential furniture to help turn their new space into a functional, safe, and welcoming home for her children.

A Relative Caregiver welcomed her two grandchildren, ages 15 and 8. She recently purchased a twin bed for the 15-year-old and within the last 3 months he has had a growth spurt and has become too large to sleep comfortably in the bed. She wants to get him a full-size bed, but she is a single caregiver on a fixed income. A full-size bed would help the child be comfortable and would also support the caregiver in a time of need which would help with strengthening and supporting this relative placement. The caregiver is appreciative of any assistance extended to her for her grandson.

2 children have been in foster care for over 2 years. The mother has worked her plan and reunification is approaching. However, the mother needs good transportation for this to work. She has a car that runs, but needs repairs on the front end of the car and it does not have headlights. All of her expendable income has gone towards housing because she was required to have a 3 bedroom home due to her children being a boy and a girl and needing their own space due to their ages and behaviors.

A single mom reunified with her 5 children in need of a couch and dresser to furnish their new apartment. A couch will help strengthen the family by serving as a central gathering point to create shared experiences and promote emotional connection. A dresser will help the family declutter and organize their clothing to create a more calm, and less stressful environment.

Mother is in the process of getting her children back. She has 2 of her children currently living with her and has moved into their new home.
They have one bed for each mom and child. She has received dishes but needs everything else for the home.

Her biggest need is living room and dining room furniture.

A sibling group of three is currently living with a relative, as their parents are facing significant hardships. The caregiver has requested support with clothing, hygiene items, shoes, and food for the children. At this time, she has been unable to return to work and is relying solely on her spouse’s income to support the household’s needs. 11 year old female child wears size XL in women's adult 10 year old male child wears a size XL in men's adult 8 year old male child wears a size L-XL in men's adult If approved, this assistance will offer financial relief to the family and help ensure stability in the placement of the three siblings with their relatives.

A resilient family who has recently transitioned out of homelessness is in need of household necessities since they have just moved into their own home—a major milestone and a fresh start!

Currently, the father is diligently searching for work and, after facing several challenges, is now partnered with an organization to receive job placement support. We are hopeful that with the right guidance and resources, he will soon be able to secure stable employment.

As they begin this new chapter, the family is in urgent need of basic household items. They have no furniture, which makes it difficult to create a safe and livable space. Additionally, their young son is in need of clothing appropriate for the season (size 14).

Single mother with 5 small children has recently been abandoned by her children’s father. The mother and children are experiencing trauma due to the abandonment of the children’s father. They are facing a loss of income and loss of the fatherly support in the home that is so needed. The single mother is hardworking and doing what she can to make ends meet along with comforting her children’s devastating lost to the absent parent. Currently the mother is unemployed and looking for remote work to get her family back on their feet. The children need beds, and she cannot afford the beds they need at this time. We are requesting a toddler bed, mattress and bedding and twin bed, mattress and bedding. We would appreciate any assistance for this family trying to rejuvenate itself and move forward. Single mother with one child was recently a victim of a tragic event that caused her to have to leave her home abruptly. She and her daughter were forced to leave their prior residence due to rent becoming too expensive. She had secured a place for her and her daughter immediately with a friend. After some time, she was asked to leave because her time there had run out. She is now living with her mother and sleeping on her floor until she can save enough money for a new affordable place of her own. She is a working part-time and taking care of her daughter looking for full-time employment to secure a new residence. We are requesting some assistance with clothing, household goods, and hygiene products for both mother and daughter while they are saving to get back on their feet and create a new life for the family. Mother is struggling with getting necessities for her family. The family needs a couch and tv stand to have a place to sit and spend time together.

This single father is struggling trying to get on his feet after losing his job. He has had to move in with his mother due his wife having a substance abuse issue. Her inability to keep a study job due to the substance abuse has caused their home life to suffer. This single father sought refuge with his mother struggling to put the pieces of his life and the life of his son in some sort of order. He is having hard time with the adjustment but is trying to stay positive for his son. He has acquired gainful employment and needs some assistance until his new income source commences. We are requesting bus passes so he can get to and from work and personal hygiene products along with clothing for him and his son.
