Mother is pregnant with her third child, and due in December. She has reached out to various community resources to meet the needs for other baby items, but is still in need of a bassinet and a baby swing. By assisting with this request, it would help to reduce a burden on mother and offer a sense of relief. Thank you for your consideration.

Three to five dressers are being requested for this family. They have been without dressers since their last home was condemned and their landlord put everything they owned on the curb. The parents have struggled financially, but they try their best to support the family. The family is currently using totes to keep the children's clothing in, which is difficult with five children. If they were able to obtain dressers, they would be able to get settled in their home, and maintain the cleanliness of the home. It would also benefit the children to learn a routine and how to care for their belongings. It would be ideal to have one dresser per child (totaling five dressers) however, if that is not possible, three would be able to get the family started with organizing. Two girls share a room, two boys share a room, and one other girl has their own room.

The measurements of the empty space for the dressers will be added to the request once received from the caseworker.

7/9/25 Update: Caseworker reports that the doors in the home are all the same size, 78 inches long and 29 1/2 inches wide. The wall space available in the three bedrooms for the dressers is 58 inches.

Father just recently obtained custody of his two twin seven year old boys. Due to some family issues, father had not seen the children in almost two years. They are now embarking on their new life together. Unfortunately, due to the sudden change, father has limited items for the children. He has what the children came with, but otherwise would benefit from some assistance in adjusting to the change in his home. The children are very excited to be with their father. They are in need of some basics such as socks, underwear, jackets, shoes, and some other summer clothing items. Each boy wears a size 13.5 shoe and one wears a size 7 clothing and the other is in size 8. Father is also utilizing other community resources to help assist in other areas. He desires to have a home where the children feel safe, happy, and comfortable.

This family is in need of a working refrigerator/freezer combination. Mother works full time, but does not drive, and has not been able to learn how to use public transportation. Mother walks to and from work, and will pick up items at the store on her way home. There are three children in the home under the age of five, and mother needs to be able to store food in the refrigerator and freezer to feed her children. Mother is limited on what food items she buys because of not having a working refrigerator or she will try to use everything she purchases, that same day. Unfortunately the family is unable to pay for this purchase, as they are working on repairing their hot water heater. By assisting this family, they would be able to plan mealtimes for the children more cost effectively.

The dimensions for the refrigerator/freezer: 65 inches tall, 28 inches wide, 35 inches deep

This family is in need of a vacuum cleaner. Unfortunately, the family does not have a working vacuum. The children in the home consists of a five and two year old, as well as a nine month old. The five and two year old make a lot of messes in the home, and the nine month old is then crawling around on the dirty floor. The family has been borrowing a vacuum from a family member, when they are able to drop it off to the family because mother does not drive. The family is currently putting their financial resources towards getting their hot water heater fixed. By obtaining a vacuum, the nine month old would then have a safe space to crawl around on and would help the family with keeping the home tidy.

This kinship caregiver has been living with friends and family, as well as various hotels since the fall of 2024. She took placement of her great niece, who is a teenager, to prevent her from being placed in foster care. The caregiver is a single parent who has raised her own daughter (now an adult) as well as her great niece. She is requesting assistance with securing a stove and refrigerator. She is unable to afford the appliances, due to the cost of first months rent and deposit to obtain her new home.

The stove can be any size as the space around the stove is open per the caseworker. Electric is needed. The refrigerator can be up to 35.5 inches tall, 3 feet wide, and 25 inches deep.

A mother is in need of some assistance pertaining to clothing as well as bedding for her children, three years old and three months old. Mother is doing what she is able to do, to care and provide for her children. However, she has very limited supports. She is a survivor of domestic violence and due to this, she is now parenting on her own. Mother enjoys volunteering her time at a local shelter and helping/giving back to others. Mother is struggling financially, and assistance with clothing and bedding for the children, would help eliminate a burden.

This request was entered into the portal originally in March '25. However, it was closed due to no responses. The need has not been met, and assistance with the flooring is still needed.

This request is related to a child who is paralyzed and wheel chair dependent. The condition of the flooring of the home is poor; the carpet is old and stretched out, leaving rolls on the floor. This makes it extremely difficult for the child to move around in the home. By having assistance with the flooring being replaced, this will make the home safer for the child and allow them to be more independent. The caregiver was quoted $5,374.35 in materials and labor. The caregiver is asking for assistance as they are concerned about the child's safety in their home without the repairs completed and due to the costs associated. Due to the child's high medical needs, obtaining a placement that was able to assist the child was difficult. This child was not always wheel chair dependent and is the result of an accident. The labor was quoted at approximately $2,500.00. If someone would be able to assist with the labor portion, that would cut the cost in half. The caregiver does not have to go through the company with the quote provided, but wanted to get an idea of how much the fixes would cost. If someone would be able to assist with the labor or the materials separately, this would cut the cost in half.
