She is preparing to welcome her baby with love and hope, but unfortunately, she is in need of essential baby items—including clothing, diapers, bottles, blankets, and other newborn necessities.

Mom has a crib

Hi! I am reaching out on behalf of a young adult in our program who is working hard to get back on her feet. Due to financial hardship, her car was recently impounded—a setback that has made it even more difficult for her to attend work, school, and important appointments.

The total cost to retrieve her vehicle is $750, and any amount you can give would go directly toward helping her regain her independence and stability. Her car is currently located at Sapps.

This kinship placement needs help with putting 2 children in the YMCA summer program. The kinship will like the children to attend West Chatham YMCA since it is closer. The weekly fee is $230 per child and this will help start childcare while the agency gets things in place for other childcare needs. I can provide the kinships phone number as he has no problem talking directly since he will have to register the children. I am not sure if he will have to register them first or if a payment is needed at the time of registration.

One of our families could use a little extra support right now! After a recent incident, their home sustained some damage—there are a few holes in the wall, and a door has come off its hinges. These repairs are necessary for the home to pass inspection, which is crucial for the family to remain together in a safe and stable environment.

They’re doing everything they can to make it work, but a little help with these repairs would go a long way in keeping this family safe, stable, and together. 💛

We have a hygiene supply closet at the Brightside office, which is located in the DFCS building. This closet contains hygiene items for children in foster care. We are currently out of size 3 diapers and wipes. If anyone is able to help us by getting either/both of those, we would really appreciate it!

One of our kids in care has requested a pair of classic Crocs (men’s size 10.5) to help him feel a little more comfortable this summer. There’s no specific color preference—just something easy and comfy to wear.
