I priced them at WalMart and they are approx. $9 each for a 66qrt. The family will accept new or used of any size. Any help is appreciated!

DHS is working with a father who is currently residing in Ellicott, CO and is visiting his 1 year old daughter in Colorado Springs twice. He is having trouble being able to afford gas since he comes to Colorado Springs three times a week. I am hoping to be able to get a gift card for gas. Thank you!

The Department is working with a family whose 7-month-old daughter is currently placed out of the home while they address the concerns which caused the case to open. The family is in need of assistance with the purchase of gas for visits, medical appointments, and treatment. They are struggling with this expense due to numerous medical appointments for their baby and case commitments for themselves. These parents are engaged in all aspects of their case, having frequent, extended visits with their baby, and are eager to move their case forward. Any assistance with this need so that parents can continue to work towards reunification is greatly appreciated!

Hello! We would like to request funds for tickets to Seven Falls for 3 URM (Unaccompanied Refugee Minor) youths. We have been working with these young men for the past few months, and they are all placed in the same foster home. The two youngest youth are new to the program and new to the state of Colorado. They have experienced many transitions in the past couple of months but are doing well and are registered to start high school this fall while continuing working through the summer. The oldest youth has been with the family for about 3 years and has helped the 2 younger youths with this transition into a new culture. Going to Seven Falls would provide these young men with a fun an interesting activity where they can safely get out into the community as they enjoy hiking and exercising together. This will also support their physical and mental health as they deal with these major life changes in their young lives, work through their past histories, and navigate everything else that is going on the world right now. A Teller County family is in need of food assistance. This kinship family recently came together in hopes of providing a home for a child in need so the child would remain with familiar faces versus go into an unknown situation in foster care. The family is able to manage their finances normally, however, groceries are starting to become an urgent matter. This Kinship home said "YES" when others walked away from this child; stretching their already elastic budget to the brink of breaking. We are gently asking our community to come together to provide food in a way so that this family will not need to worry where the next meal will come from, how they will make a meal last, or who will have the biggest portion to fill a belly. Let's come together to support a family who said "yes". We are grateful for help in any amount, and are asking for Wal-Mart or Visa gift cards so the family can shop for their own grocery needs. A Teller County family could use a blessing! This family is comprised of a mother, father, a 4-year old girl, and a 2-year old girl. Both parents are employed, but still struggle with food insecurity. Unfortunately, as of earlier this year, they no longer meet the guidelines for economic assistance. While the Department has assisted with providing local resources and the parents are utilizing some food pantries, the need this month is simply too great. Therefore, the Department is respectfully asking if any Care Portal partners can help bridge the gap at this time with Wal-Mart gift cards so that they family can purchase much need supplies. This is a family of two kinship caregivers and their three grandkids (4, 7, and 9). The grandparents also care for two other grandchildren outside of DHS care, so they have their hands full (and their hearts as well!). Finances are tights, and the kids are growing quickly. They could benefit from a Walmart gift card in any amount for clothing and groceries.

A single dad needs help paying for his rent where his 7 year old daughter and him reside. Father was just reunited with his daughter after a year and soon after reunification he had to have an emergency medical surgery and his company let him go due to missing some work. He started a new job already but is falling short on rent and just needs some help to get back on his feet and be the father he has been working so hard to be, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Male child age 5 Mom is in need of her phone bill paid. Helping meet this need will provide opportunities for Mom to engage in services and aid in reunification with her child. Mom was recently evicted from her home and is exploring sober living and is egger to engage in services. Having a phone will aid in the opportunity to progress in treatment services, attend family time, explore safe/stable housing and employment. The total price will cover June and July phone payments allowing Mom substantial time to make significant progress.

CASA has a case with three children all in foster care after being removed from their parents due to homelessness, substance use, neglect and sexual abuse. They have been out of home for over six months and it is not looking like they will be returned any time soon, unfortunately. Two of the children really enjoy hanging out with the foster dad, who loves to go for bike rides, and would love to have their own bikes. CASA is asking for bikes for an 8-year-old boy and 11-year-old girl in the form of a Walmart gift card (so they can pick them out themselves). This can be purchased electronically and emailed or a physical gift card can be bought and CASA can connect with the community member to get it. Thank you for considering this request!
