I work with a single mother of a disabled child and her child's current daycare provider closed. This created a ripple effect where she lost her job because of not having someone to watch her child so she could be at work. The owner of that daycare went to work at another one and this mother wants her son to still be with that individual, due to difficulties with her child transitioning workers. In order to enroll the child in that daycare the individual works at now, there are two fees required. The first fee is the application fee of $50. The second fee is a material fee of $75. The mother needs to have her son set up in daycare before she can secure new employment. Full or partial assistance is appreciated.

Help Reunify a Bio Family
There is a 16-year-old female child that has been in DHS custody for 3 and a half years. However, the judge has allowed DHS to start the process of returning this child to her parents. There are a few things that need to happen for DHS to allow this child to return home. The family is unable to get a bed for her to return home. This child will need a place to sleep before she can return home. Also, in order for this child to return home the home needs to be clean. The parents were able to get most of the cleaning supplies and have done well cleaning the home. However, the last thing they need is to shampoo the carpets. They are unable to pay for the shampoo machine that is used for shampooing carpets. This child has had a very hard time while being in care. Unfortunately, she has been bounced around from shelter to shelter and in and out of foster homes and is currently in a shelter a few hours from her parents. She desperately wants to go home, and we are almost there. If anybody could help get a bed for her and the parents get a shampoo machine that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Help Preserve a Kinship Placement
Help us Help those in Need. We have a set of Grandparents that have recently taken placement of 2 of their grandchildren and the grandparents are down to only having one vehicle for transportation to get the children to and from necessary appointments and to school. The only vehicle they do have is currently not in working order due to needing brakes and new rotors. Filling this request would create safe travel for the children and ease the grandparents mind of not having to rely on other family members and friends to transport them and the children to all appointments. Grandpa had a stroke back in October so this would also relieve the grandmother knowing that if there should be another emergency she would not have to wait to get him or any of the children to the care they need or be able to be there to support them.

We are currently working with a single mother in Kay Co. who is expecting another baby in June of this year. The mother lives in a 3-bedroom home with her 5 year old son. The mother’s case was recently closed with DHS. The mother is currently enrolled in school at Pioneer Technology Center and will soon begin business classes. The family needs a pack and play for the new baby's arrival. They also needs totes to clean out a bedroom for the new baby. Help Remove an Educational Barrier for a Child
A 17-year-old child has recently come into DHS custody. She is currently in a kinship foster placement. She has recently switched from in person school to online school except for one class. This girl is amazing in her ceramics class. She absolutely loves this class, and she wants to go to art school when she graduates high school. She will be unable to continue in the class until she receives overalls. Her previous overalls are at her home, and she is unable to get her stuff from her home. She is a size small, and she is able to choose from three colors that have not been taken yet. She needs white, black or pink overalls. It would be greatly appreciated by her if she was able to continue flourishing with her talent in ceramics. Her current foster family is unable to provide her overalls due to the expense of them and they also have 3 other children.

Help Improve a Child's Wellbeing
A foster family has requested a waterproof cover for their mattress as the child in the home and is constantly wetting the bed. This foster family recently took this child and have been working to adapt the home to accommodate the child in the home. They do not want to put the child in pull-ups and cause any regression in potty training. The child does not drink anything before bed and foster parents ensure that he goes to the bathroom before bed.
