Placement provider has moved to a new location so she can have enough room for all 4 children. She is needing to have an old gas bill changed before they will take it out of the landlord's name.

Older youth was approved for their first apartment. They needs assistance obtaining furniture and decorations. Any assistance, whether item or gift card, would be helpful.

I have a relative foster family in need of a car seat for a 1-year-old. The baby will be turning 1 in June and will need to move up to the next size car seat as he has outgrown it. The baby is placed with a relative who is older and is unable to carry the baby in his infant car seat and would like to have a car seat she can leave in her vehicle. Thank you!

This request is for 2 children, ages 1 & 2, that recently came into care due to concerns for medical neglect. Both children are very small for their age. The children were able to be placed with their father. He is in need of a way to safely take them places and has asked for help getting a double stroller. If this need gets met, he will be able to go the store more easily as well as take them for walks and outings.

Looking to assist a pre-adoptive placement provider with purchasing a highchair for a 6 month old child who is beginning to eat solid foods.

The need for decluttering is essential, and having a dumpster would allow them to dispose of items that are no longer needed and create a healthier space for their seven children. I was notified today of an emergency situation pertaining to an elderly grandmother raising 3 small grandchildren. She cares for a non-mobile adult person in her home as well. Money has been tight. She has been in search of a new home due to the raising of rent by her landlord and ineffective maintenance repairs to her home. She has been unable to find a new place to accommodate her needs within her budget therefore remains in the home. Last night she went to access her cash through the ATM at the bank. Due to a malfunction with the ATM her money could not be given. She is now being notified that it might be up to 45 days before the bank can pay out. She has other bills coming due-she is on payment plans for these. She is desperate for help as the landlord will continue to charge daily when she doesn't pay. If anyone can assist this family with any amount it would be greatly appreciated. Her total owed today for rent is $1543, but this goes up $10 a day ongoing.

This is a celebration of resilience and triumph. A remarkable young mother of seven has navigated a challenging journey and has been collaborating with DSS for over a year. I am thrilled to share that she has finally secured her own housing after enduring homelessness for more than a year. This courageous mother has faced and conquered domestic violence, mental health struggles for herself and her children, and the hardships of being without a home. DSS is reaching out for community support to provide gently used household items. This family is embarking on a new beginning and starts with nothing. They require essential household items to create a warm and welcoming home. Items such as couches, beds, linens, bath towels, dressers, hangers, pots, pans, forks, spoons, curtains, lamps, TVs, cleaning supplies, mops, brooms, and toys for the children are all vital for building a nurturing environment. Let's come together to make a difference!

I have a mother who is working towards her trial home visits with her son. However, she is needing to complete her SATOP program and at this time, doesn’t have the money to pay the fee, which is $249.00.

This mom has worked so hard over the past 8-9 months to get her life back on track by taking care of her substance use issues, outstanding tickets/warrants, working in her own mental health all while working and completing her court ordered services. With this class, she will be able to drive again, which means she won’t have to use public transportation. Thank you in advanced for all you do for our families.

We have a foster child interested in two camps this summer.

The foster child is interested in a camp provided by Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art. It's called Camp Kemper: Pop Culture Playground from June 11th thru June 13th. The total cost from the weeklong camp is $81.88

The foster child is interested in a program provided by Metropolitan Community College called College For KIDS. The course that the child would like to take; Code Playground: iPhone App Adventures! (PV 60572) and this course is going to be held at Penn Valley Community College, July 21-25, 2025, Monday - Friday, 9:00 am-12:00pm. The cost for the course is $165.00.

The application for the has been sent to keep his place for the course, the foster parent just need assistance with the payment.
