Help Preserve an Adoptive Placement
The wind storm has caused a fire to burn to the ground the home of this foster family losing everything but the clothing on their back. We are reaching out to the CarePortal family of churches to request churches to reach out to this family ASAP and meet the many many needs they are experiencing at this time. We are starting with clothing needs but would welcome churches to reach out to them and meet needs above and beyond as this has been devastating for this family. The help will be greatly appreciated.

Help Improve a Child's Wellbeing
The child in need is 17 years of age and has been in OKDHS custody for over five years. The child does not have any family support or permanent connections, and the child is currently in dire need of shoes. The client does not have shoes that fit, and his current shoe are so worn and uncomfortable that his placement provider has reported the client is currently walking around the shelter grounds with his socks only, as he reported his only pair of shoes no longer fit, are uncomfortable, and worn. The client suffers from fibromyalgia and his shoe size runs at 13 or 13 1/2 which has made it difficult in the past for him to acquire comfortable and good quality pair of shoes. We are requesting support in providing the client with shoes to help meet his essential and critical need. The client and his permanency team would be extremely grateful if assistance could be provided as soon as possible.

Help Strengthen a Bio Family
We are currently working with a single mother and her 6 year old son that is Autistic. The mother works hard and her case was recently dismissed with DHS. The mother is in need of a twin size bed frame for the child. The family is motivated to continue improving their environment and maintaining their home. By meeting this need, the family would be given hope to move forward and feel supported by the community. Thank you for considering meeting this need. Your support is greatly appreciated!

Help Make a Kinship Placement
This request is from RestoreOKC. We are looking for support for an amazing mom who is an employee in our workforce program. Her family is experiencing DHS involvement and she is currently taking care of her 4 nieces and nephews, in addition to her own 4 children. This is a mom who is patient, hard-working, and dedicated to her community in 73111. She is in need of a pack-n-play or bassinet for her 7 month old nephew. We need something this size and not a crib, since space is limited. Thank you for supporting a kinship placement!

Help Reunify a Bio Family
This is a request for a vehicle to assist a single mother of 4 children that are going through the reunification process. The children are ages 8,6,4, & 2 and have been in DHS custody for 15 months. Two of the children began TR last month. DHS is staggering the children to allow bio mom and children to acclimate at a pace that is comfortable for the family. The plan is to transition the other children into the home in the next month if the mother can problem solve her transportation issue. This mother has housing and is employed. She has a driver's license. The children require car seats and riding the bus with them has been challenging. Her workplace location falls outside the range of OKC public transit. She spends on average $300 per month for transportation. There have been discussions about buying a vehicle, but the mother reports she has poor credit, which has made it difficult to secure a car loan. This is a young mother and historically has relied on the children's father for transportation. This is a domestic violence case and for the first time in her life, she has secured her own housing and has escaped a toxic relationship. DHS believes the mother is ready to reunify with all four children, but the continued transportation issues have caused a hardship and a delay in reunifying all the children. CASA is asking if a church is willing to gift this mother a reliable vehicle. We understand this is a huge ASK and we pray that this need is able to be met.

Help Strengthen a Bio Family
I am reaching out on behalf of a parent who is currently facing challenges in securing reliable transportation to attend essential appointments, including visitation, court hearings, and other critical services. This parent is actively seeking employment to improve their financial situation and increase self-sufficiency. Transportation assistance would greatly support this parent in staying compliant with court-ordered services and appointments, allowing them to continue making progress towards reunification and achieving their personal and professional goals. If there are any programs or resources available that could help provide transportation assistance, we would greatly appreciate your guidance and support.

Help Strengthen a Bio Family
Hello, I have a single mother of four that is needing help paying to get her Certificated Medication Assistance (CMA). The mother makes the only income in the home and could use assistance. The mother is currently saving to be able to pay for the CMA certificate, but this would allow mom to start working towards her CMA now rather than later. Mom was expecting the total to be around 1000 dollars but was able to locate an agency that certifies CMA for 600 dollars. Mom has worked hard to save 300 dollars and is just needing the remaining 300 dollars.

Help Improve a Child's Safety/Wellbeing
Who needs help? -Single mother of a four-year-old son and she is currently expecting a child in July. What do they need? -Mother needs assistance with rental deposit. What will happen when this need is met? -This mother and son are currently living from place to place due to no fault of their own. This has been very difficult for Mom and even more so for her son. Consumer recently lost her great-grandfather, and she and her son are currently living with her great-grandmother until she can obtain a place for her and her son. She is working a full-time job (that she has been working at for 7 years) to support herself and her son. This deposit will benefit her greatly knowing that she will not have to worry about where she and her son will be living and to get ready for her baby to arrive in July. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Help Preserve a Kinship Placement
We have an aunt who recently had a very complicated surgery, fostering her young nephew and raising her daughter. Nephew was able to do an overnight with one of his parents a couple of weeks ago, and came home with bed bugs. The family has been able to contain the infestation to his room but do not have the funds to fully treat the room. A local extermination business has offered a large discount to treat the home, and we are believing this need can be met financially. Foster mom is on work leave at this time due to the very painful surgery and could really use the assistance. If you feel you can help with this need, please reach out to us and let us connect you. Thank you.
