Help Preserve a Kinship Placement
Loving aunt agreed to care for her three nieces ages 13, 11 and 8. Aunt does not have temporary or legal custody. This was an agreement between bio-mom and aunt. Aunt is struggling financially. She is just over income for programs to help financially. The children are in need of clothing as they are growing consistently. Aunt is also two months behind on her car payment with another payment due at the end of June 2025. Aunt needs transportation for doctor appointments and to get the girls back and forth to school. Aunt does not receive any type of financial assistance for caring for the girls. Aunt feels that this arrangement will be long term and is thinking of filing for custody however has not had the funds to do so to date.

Help Improve a Child's Wellbeing
A grand father has unexpectantly been left to care for his newborn grandson. His daughter, the child's mother, experienced medical complications around the delivery and is still hospitalized in a coma. The grandfather has had to take time off work to care for the child and to make trips to Pittsburg to be with his daughter as she was transferred to a hospital there due to her medical needs. This loss of wages has but a financial strain on the grandfather and the trips to Pittsburg are compounding the strain with increased expenses for fuel.

Help Preserve a Kinship Placement
A kinship caregiver recently stepped up to care for two young children placed with her under urgent circumstances. She’s now managing daily transportation across multiple towns for schools and appointments—spending hours each day on the road—all while her spouse recovers from a recent hospitalization. With benefits still pending, she’s stretched thin trying to meet the children’s basic needs on a limited budget. The family is in need of gas support to help with daily transportation, as well as essential items like clothing, shoes, and bedding. This caregiver is doing everything she can to provide safety, comfort, and consistency for these kids. Any support—big or small—would go a long way in helping her continue showing up for them every day with love and resilience.
