Please help a mother who works fulltime and cares for her child who has a chronic illness. The mother recently had to miss several days of work due to being in the hospital with her child, as a result the mother has fallen behind on her bills. The family's electric was turned off on 5-16. We would like to help assist the family with getting their power back on. Anything helps! Thank you.

A 15 yr old boy was placed in a kinship placement of a single foster parent. The foster placement is brand new and has not completed all the training. The foster placement is not receiving the stipend to care for the child. This particular child has had some behavior problems in the past when he was adopted which resulted in him entering back into care. The single female foster parent has reached out in need of assistance for two things. The child has made a lot of new friends in foster parents church and wants to go with the Youth Group to church camp but needs assistance with the funds to attend camp. Foster parent would have been able to make payments but the boys was not placed with her less than a month ago and the deadline for church camp fees is this coming Sunday. She is hoping the Youth Group will hold his place until the fee is paid. Also the foster parent is in need of a dresser to store the child's clothing. Foster parent has been searching but is unable to find anything suitable and affordable.

New kinship placement of three siblings is requesting help with paying the upfront costs of day summer camp that subsidy does not cover. The family is not approved and does not qualify for any start up stipends. Foster parents work full time with three biological children in the home as well. Any help is greatly appreciated.

A family I am currently working with is in urgent need of support. The maternal aunt has stepped in as an out-of-home safety monitor for her teenage nephew, providing him with a safe and stable environment while the family works through ongoing challenges. Unfortunately, the aunt’s food stamp benefits were recently hacked, leaving her without critical resources to feed her household. She is doing her best to provide for the teen and maintain stability, but with limited income and no access to her food benefits for the rest of the month, she is struggling to meet their basic food needs. Any support in the form of grocery assistance would be deeply appreciated to help them through this difficult time. Thank you for your compassion and support of this family.

A eight year old boy who is being fostered by his aunt is in need of assistance. The little boy attends an aftercare program after school so his aunt can work. Do to changes in the DHS child care network the after school program does not accept DHS subsidy. The aunt does not have the financial means to take care of this unforeseen bill. The Aunt just found out about this and the bill is due tomorrow. This family is already experiencing financial difficulty with the addition of the young boy to the family. They are not receiving any financial help from DHS yet. So any kind of assistance would be greatly appreciated.

We have a mother and daughter who have been brought back together. We have observed the mother and child to have a great bond. The mother just moved into a new apartment and will be starting a new job in the next couple of weeks. The mother has overcame many obstacle's in her life, and during our interaction with the mother we have observed an amazing turn around in her life. She is needing assistance with her rent and only has a short window of time to do so. If this barrier can eliminated it will help the mother save for incoming bills. We would like to add that this is a one time ask, because the mother believes she will be able to meet all of the needs in the home once she starts working full time. Safe Families recently has connected with a young mother and her 5 year old son who is currently in a critical situation. She recently underwent surgery for ovarian cancer and is now preparing to begin dialysis treatment on May 5th. As the sole caregiver for her young autistic son, she has been unable to work since her surgery and is now facing the possibility of eviction.

She is currently $430 short on rent and has until Thursday, May 1st to make the payment in full. Without immediate assistance, she and her son will lose their home during an already overwhelming time of medical recovery and transition.

This is a mother who is fighting for her health, caring for her child, and doing everything she can to stay afloat. Meeting this need would not only provide her with stable housing, but with the peace of mind to focus on her healing and caring for her son!

The Demand Project (TDP) exists to eradicate human trafficking, online enticement, child sexual abuse material, and the commercial sexual exploitation of children. One of the ways we fight this is through our residential campus for teen girls. As the residents work through the program, we find ways to teach them money management. Unfortunately, some of the residents are not old enough to get a job off campus. We have been able to find jobs for them on campus and pay them with gift cards. Our stock of gift cards is dwindling and are hoping you would be able to help replenish the stash. Hello all, this family is in need of a couch and beds for their home. The father is a single father and has been for several years. He has five minor children who he is caring for by himself. The father works several hours a day to provide for his children. The children in the home are sleeping on old beds who have been worn down and have no bed frame and little bedding. The family is also in need of a washer and dryer. The father has been taking all five of his children's close to the laundromat. We have a couple from our church needing our help with rent assistance. A while ago, the husband lost his job, which made them rely solely on the wife's income. Since then, the husband found new employment and they are starting to get back on track. Although both are working, the couple is struggling to catch up on rent. A 14-year-old boy would like some theme park "grown-up" Lego sets to work on to help with depression and anxiety. He is very mechanically inclined and things like Legos help him focus and unwind.
