This request is to support with gas cards to help a bio family member with travel expenses to see a child. The request is $300 in gas cards. Any help with full or partial request is appreciated.

A mother and her two children are domestic violence survivors. Mom has just found a safe location for them to move into, but she is in need of a bunk bed or two twin beds for her children. Any support in acquiring these items, including financial contributions towards the beds, would be greatly appreciated, as we want to ensure that the family can land somewhere safe and secure.

Our client is a mother with 7 children fleeing DV. They currently don't have any beds or bedding. To make trasporting the younger children easier mom is need of a stroller. Mom is doing her very best to get things settled for her and her children, but is in need of assistance. "Children need 3 twin sized beds. and 3 sets of twin size bedding. Toddler Stroller. Size 6 Diapers. "

Four children were placed full time with their father following the sudden death of their mother. The father, along with his mother, immediately moved into larger housing to accommodate the children full time instead of a few days a month. His landlord is allowing him to do the security deposit on a payment plan. His mother is caring for the children in the home while he works two full time jobs to provide for his family. He is re-working his budget to accommodate these changes to the family but in the meantime, would appreciate assistance with groceries.

A teenage youth was at an Aurora Hospital, when they were ready for discharge there was no placement for them. This youth lacks family support and is trying to pick up the pieces so they can complete high school and be able to build independent live skills. A gift card to walmart or somewhere so the teenager can get some clothing would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

This grandma has taken in her grandson while mom works on her sobriety and anger issues. This kiddo is in need of new clothes and shoes that fir him. He let worker know that he has never had new clothes of his own and the ones hes wearing currently has been since he was 8 and they are all extremely small on him. We are requesting a gift card for clothing for him.

Please help a young mother who is recently homeless and now living in a motel with her three children, all under age 3.

The family was reported to Human Services because they continually missed medical appointments, and now we are trying to help improve their situation by meeting basic and urgent needs. The mother has no transportation, no food for the children, no storage for her belongings, and no way to wash clothes. The family is awaiting placement in a shelter (they have pending applications at 3 shelters). To stay in the hotel a few more days, the mother needs $90 per night.

Her youngest child is an 8-month old who was born premature; the child has significant weight loss and a developmental delay related to lack of nutrition. the child needs Similac Neosure Formula (yellow can) to be able to eat, a Pack and Play for safe sleep, and a stroller so the mother can take them to medical appointments and find other resources.

Additionally, this family could greatly benefit from food for the children, hotel vouchers, and long-term housing.

A three year old and nine year old have been placed with their grandmother for the past two years due to domestic violence and parent substance abuse without financial support from either parent. Grandmother quit her job so she could care for the children, which has created some financial hardship for the family. She recently felt comfortable returning to work part time, but the family's finances are still tight. The three year old has outgrown his car seat and is in need of a bigger one he can grow with over the next several years.

A youth I am working with is in need of a laptop of his own. His preference is a refurbished Mac Book but he is grateful for anything that allows him to connect to the Internet and has video/virtual capabilities so he can participate in virtual family therapy sessions with his mom.

This family recently started working with the Department. Concerns involved domestic violence which led to mom leaving her husband. Through this process she has become the sole provider and is 100% responsible for the kids, especially now that her mom recently passed away. Mom has been financially dependent on father but is now working two jobs to try and keep the apartment she is currently in. Her son has unexpectedly needed to have surgery this week, so she had to access funds for her rent and groceries. I am requesting grocery assistance for this month to help her and all three of her children. Thank you for any and all help!

A youth was living with her grandma, but she made some poor choices in grandma's home. Her aunt stepped up to provide her with a home and new opportunity. However, her aunt has multiple children living with her and all of the children are sharing a room. Currently without a bed, the aunt is giving her bed to the youth and she has been sleeping on the couch. We are requesting a bunk bed for a family please, so the aunt can have her bed back.

This resilient Douglas County family is working hard to rebuild stability after the father lost his job and housing due to medical challenges. Now living in a family shelter in Aurora, the mother is employed full-time, while the father is actively job searching, attending fatherhood classes, and caring for their children.

They remain connected to Douglas County through work and community ties. Gas cards would help them stay mobile for work, housing searches, and meaningful family outings during this transitional time.
