We have a father who was recently injured at work is facing a unexpected financial hardship. Amid these challenges, his 13-year-old son continues to shine. As he prepares to enter high school, this remarkable young man has maintained a 3.4 GPA, all while participating in his local spelling bee, where he proudly earned 2nd place. The father is deeply proud of his son's hard work and achievement, and he is doing everything he can to support him. However, with limited resources, he is unable to provide a much-needed new twin bed with mattress for his growing son. We are reaching out in hopes that a kind-hearted person or community member might be able to lend a helping hand. Your generosity could make a world a difference to this family and show a young man that hard work and dedication are noticed and rewarded.

Family consists of 27-year-old mother and father, 6 year old daughter, 3 year old daughter, and their 2 month old infant. Client's partner recently had an accident at his job which caused him to have a broken arm and be in need of surgery. He has not been working and was hospitalized for a while, leaving them with quite a few medical and home bills due. Unfortunately, this accident is affecting their financial abilities to provide for their new infant and they are in urgent need of basic necessities as he is struggling to get his job to assist him or pay for his care. The family does not have a car so they rely on public transportation where having a stroller/ travel system is very much needed. In their home they do not have furniture or places to lay infant down safely so an infant swing would be very beneficial. We have a single mother with two children (ages 2 and 1). The mother and children reside in the home of a family friend, and they are in need of full-size bed with mattress. The mother is loving to her children, and both of the children are sweet, happy, playful and active children. The mother is always making sure her daughters needs are met. The children are very attached to the mother and feel very comfortable in her presence. The mother always reciprocates her love to her children by hugging them and reassuring their feelings. Currently, the mother does not have employment and is enrolled in school with the goal to be able to financially provide for her daughters. The family is in need of a bed required to avoid co-sleeping. The mother and the two children currently sleep in a twin-size bed. The family would benefit from a full-size bed. By fulfilling this request, it would allow the mother to focus her attention on her children and her schooling/education.

Client is the single parent of two children, a 5 month and 7-year-old daughter and has been enrolled with us for a year. Client is also a recent graduate of another program. Client participates in all services and voluntary activities. Client is involved with making sure her eldest attends school and does well. Client would like to return to school and get certified and help the community in the near future. Client's income is CalWORKs, and client lives with her mother and pays rent. Client states her baby is sitting up and eating and is in need of a highchair. Client's Family Support Specialist has sought to find other resources but none of them have hair chairs at this time. Client's baby will be able to sit up and be fed safely with the support of a highchair.

Please help the parent reunify with their infant 6-month-old son. The parents want to start overnight unmonitored visits with the baby soon but they need help getting a crib. Both parents are enrolled and participating in services and trying to do their best in order to reunify with their child. The parents were homeless before and recently found housing but do not have many items/furniture. The parents live together and are in a relationship. The parents do not have a crib or mattress for the crib. The parents are working towards reunifying but they can't have visits in the home without a crib for safety reasons. The parents need a crib and a mattress for a baby boy.

Case involves mother and 4 year old son. Referral to DCFS due to mother's mental health concerns. Mother consistent with therapy in transitional living facility. A single mom of two boys ages 11 yrs and 10yrs recently reunified with her children last week and is living in a rented room temporarily until mother can find permanent housing. The children are very happy to be back in mother's care; which has helped their behavior at school. Mother just finished her CNA training course in hopes to help her find future employment. We are hoping to assist mother with a week of financial assistance to pay for her room via Booking.com up until she gets her CalWorks benefits on 5/1/25.

Urgent Request: Help a Homeless Mother and Son Recover Their Towed Vehicle

A single mother and her young son, currently experiencing homelessness, have been living between a local shelter and their car. Tragically, their car was recently towed, resulting not only in the loss of their only means of transportation but also many of their personal belongings, including clothing, hygiene items, and important documents.

This situation has left them devastated and without the few resources they relied on for stability and daily life. The mother is working hard to regain footing for herself and her child, and recovering the vehicle is a crucial step toward rebuilding their stability and independence.
