This request is to help a family in need with a Temporary Alternative Placement Agreement. The parents are working on various items to improve themselves and to make themselves and their home a safe place for the child to return home to. The extended family that is placement for the child currently are sturggling financially to make ends meet. Currently they are in need of gas cards to help keep gas in the car to get the child to daycare. Without this aid they will have to miss more shifts at work and without work they will not be able to keep the child with them.

By helping with this request you are directly helping keep a child out of court custody and out of the foster system.

We have a 20-year-old girl who is attempting to age out of care, but is having trouble getting on her feet. She had car issues with her first car, and was able to save up and buy another car just a few months ago. She is now having issues with her current car, which is a 2004 Chevy Cavalier. She recently started work at Panda Express, but is only making $16 an hour. She is working part-time hours as she was also working part-time with a landscaping business on weekends. Panda Express is still hiring and therefore, hasn't been able to increase her hours. Due to the issues she is having with her car's acceleration, she has not been able to resume work with the landscaping business and is missing out on money. Her job at Panda Express is 18 minutes away from her placement, which has forced her to spend a good portion of her income on Ubering to and from work. She is also planning to attend the Phlebotomy program at KCKCC this fall and will therefore need reliable transportation for that. She previously took her car to Auto Zone and had diagnostics run. She purchased a new starter and spent over $200, but is still having issues that she can't currently afford to assess and fix. Any support would be appreciated, whether that is financial or someone who can help assess and diagnose the problem(s) with her car.

A low income family of 5 is struggling to reunify with their children due to facing eviction. They are desperately in need of some rental financial assistance for past due rent to stop the eviction process.

We have a grandmother who agreed to move into her daughter's home to prevent 4 children from being removed from the home. Grandma is doing everything she can to maintain 4 young children in her home but this has caused her to lose her form of employment. The home was unclean when Grandma moved into the home but due to lack of funds and having her hands full, she is struggling to get the home back to the cleanliness it was prior to now. We are looking for cleaning supplies for Grandma or a cleaning company willing to to go to the home to assist the family so they can keep their home and children happy, healthy, and clean.

A mother with two young children in foster-care is actively leaving a domestic violence situation today. This mother left the home with nothing but the clothes on her back. Please consider donating a gift card for Walmart to this mother. She needs clothing items, hygiene items and other necessary items. This is an critical need.

A grandmother has recently taken in 5 children into her home ranging from 1 to 7-years-old. 4 of these children already have beds, however, the youngest is 1-year-old and needs a crib!

Along with this, more kids means more clothes! Placement is looking for a tall dresser to help store the children's clothes. Please help this home get a crib and a dresser!

A person is in the process of adopting a young boy who has gone through a lot and now has many medical needs. The person adopting him stays at home with him to provide the love, care, and attention he needs and deserves. The family is hoping to increase the security of the home due to some threats made and would like to install some security cameras. If there is someone who is able to donate a camera or two or a whole camera system, that would be so helpful in increasing the family's peace of mind. A family is needing help securing a door on the side of their house. The door is meant to have a barricade, however, one of the brackets for the barricade has broken off, and therefore, the door cannot properly lock. The objects stored in that room are at risk and the rest of the home is less secure. The family is hoping for a new lock or barricade bracket to secure the door. An 8 year girl just entered foster care and will be having a birthday this week. This child came to the foster home with only the clothes on her back. The foster placement would like to purchase some new clothing items and a few toys to provide a meaningful birthday for this child as they have been separated from their family. Please consider donating a gift card so they can purchase items for her birthday.

While being the full-time caregiver for their four young grandchildren and now cognitively impaired adult child was done out of commitment and love, but because of ongoing medical appointments and barriers with transportation it has caused limitation in these grandparents' ability to also provide enriching summer activities for their grandchildren. The hope is that we will be able to collect various outdoor actives from chalk, sprinklers, bikes, and toddler outdoors equipment so the kids can continue to experience a full summer. The age of the children range from 0 to 11 years old and would love to have activities to do together and utilize their new large backyard to do so.

This youth has been working diligently to prepare for aging out of care. Throughout this process, he has faced numerous challenges and setbacks, yet he continues to persevere as he takes meaningful steps toward independence. Despite his best efforts, unforeseen circumstances have caused delays in his transition, including pushing back his planned age-out date. He has been actively searching for housing, securing an apartment, and covering the associated fees on his own.

At this time, he is in need of a grocery gift card to help cover food expenses for his first month on his own. Providing this support would relieve a significant financial burden and allow him to focus on building a stable foundation. By easing the immediate stress of affording food, we can help ensure a more successful and confident start to this important new chapter in his life.

I have an 8 month old on my caseload who will be moving in to his grandparents this week. In order to stabilize placement with his grandparents, they are in need of a crib. Thank you so much for considering!
