There’s single mother with a 16 your old son in jeopardy of being evicted. She is recently divorced and has had to file for bankruptcy. Over the past few months maintaining the household had become more difficult. She received an eviction notice and is facing that notice being enforced next week, if she cannot pay $2257.

We have a family who is really struggling. There are 4 children in the home all middle school aged and younger. They are requesting assistance with their electric bill that way they can still cover their other bills. The full amount for their electric bill is 310.54. However, anything would help them to get back on their feet. They have fallen behind on their phone bill and rent as well. If they received assistance with their electric bill, they could cover their other bills without having to prioritize any of them over the others. Thank you!

6 year old girl in need of items for an upcoming trip to Texas for her brother's surgery. Her brother has a genetic medical condition and is going to have surgery in Austin, TX in June on his jaw/face for reconstruction and possible tracheotomy removal. The family will be driving to Austin and renting a place to stay for several weeks. The family is hoping to gather items to help their child manage the long drive as well as the many hours she will spend at the hospital with her brother. Items that might be helpful would be coloring books, drawing supplies, crayons, markers, colored pencils, small lego sets, medical play kit (she wants to be a doctor) and she loves mermaids and unicorns. This family would be very appreciative of any help that could be provided.

A young mother has escaped a domestic violence situation with the father of her baby, the baby has recently come into care. The baby is placed with a kinship provider; the mother is working two jobs and providing for her baby, although the baby is not in her home currently. Please consider donating an Uber gift card to assist this mother with visiting her daughter.

Family is new to the KC area and speaks Hatian Creole. Family speaks limited English and has a limited support system. They have a disconnect notice for their electricity. I have called several agencies about getting assistance and cannot find one that has funds available until next month but I didn't want their electricity to get shut off in the mean time.

A grandparent is experiencing a hardship and is needing help upgrading the child's bed from a toddler bed to a twin bed as they have become to tall and old for the toddler bed.

This family is needing assistance with half of their rent. Their 21 year-old son was recently killed in an accident and their 19-year-old daughter who is pregnant is being induced due to the stress of losing her brother. Her younger son is currently permanently disabled. Mother has been unable to work as she has been making arrangements for her son's burial and her the birth of her daughter's child. Mother was unable to cover the entire month's rent because she paid for the burial of her son. There are three other younger children in the home. One of the children in the home has a high level of medical needs with some medical equipment that requires electricity to function (suctioning and feeding pump). A child has had lice for about two months now. She has missed 12 days of school and is now missing end of year testing. Her guardian has not been able to contain the lice with over-the-counter products, and she is in need of professional treatment. I have located a salon in the area that is able to provide services at a discounted rate so that she does not miss any more school. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. The father is struggling to pay for food while sending his teenage son to a sitter during the day. The sitter has a hard time supporting a second child in the home, food wise. The father is requesting some sort of assistance. This worker is requesting a gift card to either Wal-Mart, Aldi's, or Hy-Vee.

This courageous family has bravely escaped a situation of domestic violence and has found refuge away from the father. However, they are starting anew with virtually nothing in their new home. The children are in dire need of clothing, hygiene products, and blankets; they currently have very few of these essentials. The youngest child has a pack n play, but the family is sleeping on the floor. They are without formula and diapers, but I am reaching out to secure these necessities for them. Unfortunately, they have no food, with only some rice and bottled water available, along with a pastry box gifted from grandma, who recently traveled from Jordan to support her daughter.

Transportation is a challenge for them, and they primarily speak Arabic. Their needs are urgent, and I am committed to opening an FCS case to assist this family with food stamps, WIC, domestic violence services, and more. Together, we can help them find the support they deserve during this difficult time.
