A grandmother who has been taking care of her two grandchildren with power of attorney, are in need of assistance to get their utilities turned back on. They are in need of $200 for the remaining balance and then will be on a payment plan for future bills. The grandmother has in the process of getting back into working as she was recently in a car accident, which has affected their finances at this time. Additionally, grandmother has been working through the grief of her brother. The grandmother stated she is already appreciative of the thought of someone wanting to help, but in the meantime is heating up water on the stove to suffice having warm water.

A 15-year-old female and her 1.5-year-old daughter have been placed with a recently single-parent household and is needing the generosity of the community to help assist with an Evergy utility bill. Their home is disconnected and their current voucher being put towards utilities does not cover the entirety of the bill due to the recent single parent being overwhelmed of taking over this on their own. Proof of bill has been sent to the case manager. This family would be incredibly grateful for any amount to help them off, what is deemed by them, this mountain of a utility bill.

The youth in question is 18 and is in State's Custody as a foster youth. She was living with her uncle in an apartment in Independence, MO but unfortunately, her uncle recently died leaving her with no money or resources. My youth was on the lease with her uncle and has to take over the utility bills and rent. She is currently only working part time minimum wage and does not have a permit or driver's license. She has very little money saved and has even less family support. We are requesting $200 either cash/check to help her with paying for next month's utility bills to get her through the next month until more services can be put in place to further support her in this time of need. Any support would be greatly appreciated.

Seeking support for a single mother and her son who are in the final stages of reunification after several years apart due to foster care involvement. This family has worked hard to rebuild their bond and is very close to being together again full-time.

The mother recently secured a new home; however, the refrigerator in the unit is non-functional. In order to ensure a safe and stable environment for her son, we are requesting assistance in obtaining a working refrigerator as soon as possible.

I have a great grandmother who is working to keep her grandchildren with her 1 boy and 1 girl. The grandmother does everything for these children with no help from the biological parents. These children have been through some tough times and their great grandmother has been there to love and care or them through these tough times. This great grandmother is on a fixed income and is needing some assistance getting school clothing and shoes for the children. This assistance will relieve some financial burden currently this grandmothers' only option is to spend bill money on the childrens school clothing and supplies, which we would like to avoid. This assistance will also provide the children with some self confidence knowing they are going to school with new, clean clothing that fit them properly allowing them to be comfortable with going to school. The children need clothing, shoes and school supplies either in the form of gift cards so the children can pick out their own clothing or if they receive clothing and shoes either will be appreciated by all. Sibling set of four moved in with grandparents to help preserve cultural connections. Grandparents recently moved to a larger space to accommodate the youths.

Family needs help picking up equipment from a storage unit and bringing it to their home. This will ensure siblings can maintain in a safe and appropriate placement.

Four children have reintegrated back home with their mother and father. Due to family having bug issues they had to get rid of their previous two twin mattresses. The beds would be for the twin 9 year old girls.

The family is from another country, and the mother and father speak two different dialects of language, so drop off of the beds would need to be coordinated through an interpreter or through me, I would be happy to help, since it is more complicated than normal.
