The mother on this case was given an eviction notice and was requested to be out by October 31st, 2023. The mother was off work for 3 months due to having a broken foot and got behind on her rent. Due to her renting from her father and not having a lease agreement we are not able to assist in getting her rent paid up. The mother is trying to get a new place but has a past due bill from when she left her abuser. If this bill is paid, she will have a better chance of getting an apartment for her and her son before the October 31st deadline. This bill is an Evergy Bill.

A single mom of three kids is at high risk of getting evicted this month. She works a full time position at a hospital and fell under some tough times financially and has been unable to cover the full cost of rent. In addition to that, there have been several late fees that have made the cost unrealistic for the mom be able to afford it and take care of her children. One of her kids has had major behavioral issues at school and mom has been called multiple times requiring her to pick her kid up from school and having to miss work and therefore losing resources by having to leave work. She's going through a lot and could really use this one-time assistance with securing her home for her family. Her and her children may become homeless if they are not able to get rent and these late fees covered as soon as possible.

After making the brave choice to leave the father of her children due to domestic abuse, this family is without many things most people take for granted; a microwave is just one of those items. I hope this message finds you well. I am writing on behalf of a dedicated foster family who has generously opened their home to a teenage boy under their care. In their admirable commitment to providing a safe and nurturing environment, the foster family has also taken in all four of the teenager's siblings and has children of their own.
The foster family has a hectic schedule in caring for seven children in total. We have encountered a unique transportation challenge for this teenage boy. He currently attends an alternative school that does not have the means to provide transportation services. As a result, the foster family is responsible for ensuring he can get to and from school daily. Considering the circumstances, we are reaching out to request support in acquiring an electric scooter for the teenage boy. Having access to an electric scooter would greatly ease the burden on the foster family and enable the teenager to attend school consistently and punctually. This, in turn, will significantly contribute to his educational progress and overall well-being.
We understand the importance of ensuring the teenage boy has a reliable means of transportation to continue his education. Your assistance in this matter would make a significant difference in his life and provide vital support to the foster family. We are deeply grateful for your consideration of this request, and we look forward to your response.
Thank you for your continued dedication to the well-being
Suzie:
We have a used electric scooter we are willing to donate. However, we are not sure on its battery range or how far the boy needs to travel. If someone wants to connect with us so that he could test it and see if it will work, please let us know. Thanks! Suzie
An adoptive resource is trying to help provide a child in foster care braces that the child needs. Braces are not covered under insurance and what the child needs is estimated at $6,000. Any financial assistance would be greatly appreciated to help the family.

A kinship provider is in need of an Uber gift card as she has been responsible for providing transportation for the foster youth and the youth's baby. The youth and baby go to a school in Kansas City, MO because they have a daycare program in the school for students who are parents. Options for teen students are very limited on the KS side so this has been the best option even though the school is 17 miles away from the home. The provider has either been taking both youth to school or ordering and Uber each day since school has started two weeks ago in order to make sure the youth is attending classes so she can graduate on time this year. The school in Missouri is working to get a ride share program set up for the youth but at this time, the family is responsible for transportation despite having limited availability as her work schedule is very inflexible. We would like to provide financial support to her through an Uber gift card as she has put so much effort into making sure the youth attends school and gets her degree which can be especially difficult as a teen parent. We would be very grateful for any amount of help in the form of gift cards.
Thank you!

This working, single mother is in need of a crib and crib mattress for her youngest child. Despite working full time, the budget never seems to stretch as far as one would hope with multiple children. Her youngest child has quickly outgrown the pack n play she has been using and is about to surpass the weight limit. Since safety is always the number one priority for her children, this mother knows she a crib, but cannot afford one. Although she is working full time, as a single mom to 3 young children, the budget never seems to stretch as far as one would hope. As her youngest has grown, they have gotten too big for their infant carseat. As safety is always the number one priority for her children, this mother knows she needs a bigger car seat, but cannot afford one. A convertible car seat will help to ensure this child is kept safe and help a single working mom stay within her means and keep food on the table.
