We are currently working with an aunt who took over the care of her nephews. She is a wonderful individual who needs groceries to help feed the new children in her home. She is currently working and due to the daycare situation, she has missed some days of work. Which caused her to have less income this week. She needs help with groceries and baby wipes to help support her nephews through this week and some days next week, till her next paycheck. I am not requesting money, but grocery items & wipes. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for supporting me and always coming to our rescue. God bless you and I hope you have a great day.

Jackson County CD is in need of a few clothing racks for our care closet. This care closet allows us to provide new clothing to children that come into care. These children often come in with dirty, small, and poor clothing. This allows us to send an outfit or two with them to a new and unfamiliar place. We greatly appreciate it!

I am currently working with a mother of two with severe mental health issues. She has been unable to work and owes $2200 for her gas bill. They turned off her gas this week and will not turn it back on until she pays $1250. We were able to find a community resource that will pay $500 if we are able to come up with the remaining $750. The mother is working to get into vocational rehab at this time as well as additional mental health services. The gas in her home is for her stove, hot water heater, and heat. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thank you for considering this request and for all your support in our community!
I have a teen who needs help paying for immunizations for her dog. I know this isn’t a typical request but this dog means the world to this teen. She raised the dog since it was a pup and has spent a great deal of time training it and entering it into dog competitions (fly ball, I think?). The dog is her companion and she is very attached to him, he has been with her when many people have abandoned our youth. Our youth is in foster care and placed a few hours from the KC area.

Children Division is assisting a Swahili family who has 6 children in the home. It was discovered that all 6 children in the home have been sleeping in 1 bed. This family is in need of 6 twin sized beds or bunk beds with frames as well as bed linens. In addition to the beds needed we are hoping to connect this family to a Swahili community so that they have community supports. Thank you in advance

The children need help with car seats. A car seat for a 12-18 month old female child, and a car seat for a 3 year old male child. Clothing is needed also for girl 18 months and boy 4T/5T as she does not have much extra clothing. This is a one time investment as the caregiver just needs help with these items. The caregiver has taken over the children as it was unexpected and she is trying to provide for them but is in need of some help to continue care. She also needs help with a baby gate, a simple stroller to take the baby on walks and food. Due to needing child I.d for food pantry's she is struggling with food until she gets approved for kinship. Anything will help her right now until her approval. Thank you so much.

This family is only needing help for their utility bill that has gone out of there budget. It doesn't seem like it is a reoccurring issue with the family. They are capable of keeping up with the following payments, but one month had gotten away from them and has now piled up and it is beyond what they can afford alone. They are reaching out and asking for help. The household consists of 3, both parents and a child. The bill is 274$ to avoid shut off, but the entire bill is $444.
