Help Improve a Child's School Attendance

This is a single mom with three young kids in elementary school who’s been going through a tough time. She’s been experiencing homelessness and has been moving between Los Angeles and Orange County. While staying in LA, her kids missed over a week of school because she didn’t have a way to get them to school. Right now, the family is staying in Orange County, and with just three weeks left in the school year, the mom really wants her children to finish out the year at their school in Corona-Norco. School has been one of the few stable things in the kids’ lives lately, and she’s doing her best to keep that going. Mom needs support in the form of gas cards to help her get the kids to and from school during these last few weeks. Anything would help and would go a long way in supporting this family during a difficult time.

Help Reintegrate a Survivor of Human Trafficking

Hello donors, We have a new client in DREAM court who is a 16 y/o victim of commercial sexual exploitation. She was recently recovered by police from an awful situation in which she was trafficked in San Diego, CA. She is now in Whittier, CA, in an emergency placement with her aunt. This incident has left our client profoundly traumatized, and while she needs a feeling of purpose and belonging, she urgently needs a secure home with a bed to sleep on and a dresser to keep her belongings. Our client's aunt, who is currently going through the Resource Family Approval process, needs assistance obtaining a dresser, a full-size bed, and a full-size mattress in order to successfully finalize placement for our client. I'm reaching out to you to request assistance in obtaining the required items so that this family may complete the Resource Family Approval process. On behalf of our client and her family, thank you for your time and consideration.

Help Improve a Child's Safety/Wellbeing

The family consist of single mother and three children. Mother is unemployed and does not drive. The two youngest children ages 8 and 9 are severely disabled and wear diapers. Both children wear diapers due to their disability. Their current diapers are too small and that the diapers are causing marks in the children. The CSW also observed that the children’s clothing and shoes are too small. It was noted that one of the children had blisters due to his shoes being too small. Mother informed CSW that she cannot financially afford to purchase the diapers, clothing, and shoes for her children as she is currently unemployed and is trying to make ends meet. Mother is asking if someone can assist in getting diapers, clothing and shoes for her 3 children. Thank you.

Help Improve a Child's Safety/Wellbeing

I’m reaching out on behalf of a family in need — a single mother and her teenage son who are currently experiencing homelessness. The student, has a deep passion for basketball. According to his school counselor, he has recently become withdrawn and less communicative, likely due to the stress of his current living situation. However, when he’s on the court playing basketball, his entire demeanor shifts — it’s the one place where he seems to come alive. We strongly believe that participating in a Summer Basketball Camp this June would offer him not only a positive and structured environment, but also a critical emotional and mental outlet during a very challenging time in his life. We are seeking sponsorship support to help cover the cost of the camp. Your generosity would directly impact a young person’s life, offering him hope, community, and a chance to thrive through something he truly loves. Thank you for your time and commitment to supporting youth in our community.

Help Remove an Educational Barrier for a Child

There is a young family that recently moved to the country and is currently living in a shared apartment. Because of this, the second-grade daughter doesn’t have a quiet or comfortable place to do her homework and she ends up doing her school work on the floor. To help create a better learning environment for her at home, we are requesting a small desk and chair for the student. This will make a big difference for her being able to get her work done. Here is a link of the type of desk that could work. Go To Link

Help Strengthen a Bio Family

Hello, we have a special request on behalf of a young family in our community. Their baby is struggling with weight gain, and after trying multiple feeding strategies, they’ve been advised to use a specific formula that’s both expensive and hard to find: Enfamil EnfaCare Infant Formula Powder, 13.6 oz.

These young parents have been tirelessly caring for their baby, sticking to a strict feeding schedule and doing everything they can to help her grow. Recently, the father broke his leg and is now waiting for surgery. He was the only income provider and has been unable to work, putting their housing situation at risk.

After previously experiencing homelessness while the mother was pregnant, they’ve worked hard to get into a place of their own. Now, with this unexpected setback, they’re facing real challenges again — despite how much they’ve tried to stay on their feet.

They’re active in our community events and always show up with kind hearts and a willingness to connect. We’re asking if any churches or community partners may have access to Enfamil EnfaCare 13.6 oz formula, or if there’s any rental assistance available to help them during this difficult time.

Thank you so much for your continued care and support for families like this one. ❤️

Help Preserve a Foster Care Placement

I am reaching out on behalf of a dedicated caregiver who is in urgent need of support. This caregiver lovingly cares for a young child (Almost 2) with autism and is currently facing a significant challenge. After a recent surgery, the caregiver is unable to safely carry or support the child while using their current umbrella stroller, which offers limited support and stability.

To ensure the child’s safety and comfort—and to help the caregiver manage day-to-day outings—we are requesting assistance in providing a full-size stroller. A sturdier stroller will allow for better support for the child and reduce physical strain on the caregiver during recovery.

This act of kindness will make a world of difference for a family navigating both medical recovery and the daily responsibilities of raising a child with unique needs.

Help Support a Youth Aging Out

NMD has been an exemplary young adult in our AB12/ Extended Foster Care services as she has diligently continued her post-secondary education at Cerritos Colleges, where she is soon to graduate and anticipated to transfer over to a Cal State University of Dominguez Hills. NMD has maintained steady employment for years and now works with a large tech company. She has been a very respectful, responsible, communicative, independent, and a resilient young adult. This assistance will further her ability to become self-sufficient as she is well deserving of the help with her success in maintaining compliance with the department and should be rewarded for her great works and commitment to not only remaining eligible for services, but most of all progress for herself. She is in need of assistance in her transition out of her current home and into assisted living. She is in need of help for paying for Moving fees for storage and movers for her belongings until she moves into her permanent housing. She needs 600$ at minimum to help pay for storage and movers as she does not have family to house her belongings while she waits.

Help Strengthen a Bio Family

I am working with a family of six—a mother and her five young children—who are in need of support. Family has experienced homelessness and has been able to overcome many challenges. As the children have grown, the limited space in their home has made it difficult to provide each child with a safe and comfortable place to sleep. To help meet her family’s needs, the mother is seeking assistance with obtaining a bunk bed.

This furniture would significantly improve the children’s living conditions by creating more space and ensuring a safer sleep environment. Due to ongoing financial hardship, the mother is unable to afford this on her own. Providing this support would strengthen her ability to care for her children and offer her greater peace of mind as she continues to meet their daily needs. The cost of the bunk bed is 169.99 with a shipping fee of 79.99=249.98. Go To Link Along with mattress Twin XL over Twin XL Go To Link
