Help Reunify a Bio Family
A single mom has been working hard the last 2 years with programming and was recently reunified with her (almost) 3 year old daughter. Mom will be moving on April 1st from outside of the city into her own home with her daughter to start a new life. Mom has no financial supports and very limited resources, so is starting from scratch. She recently found a bed and couch for herself, and would greatly appreciate a few items to make her house a home for the two of them. She is requesting a toddler bed, dresser, a kitchen table with 2 chairs, and a coffee table. Support an Expecting Mom and Her Unborn Baby
Our client came to us late in her pregnancy requesting help with baby supplies. Her and her husband are immigrants and are struggling financially. They have 3 children and were quite 'surprised' to find out about this pregnancy. They were able to get a car seat but are asking for some help with obtaining a crib and stroller. Just recently our client reached out with the exciting news that their baby was born! She said baby is sleeping in the same bed with them for right now and are still needing our assistance in getting the other items. Thank you for your time, your help is greatly appreciate!

She attended a treatment program for a year and half and having completed her treatment program, her children have been returned to her care. She recently moved to her own place and has almost nothing for the family apart from the beds that the agency bought for the children while they were in care.

This is for a single dad raising a teenager and a toddler on his own. He is in need of beds for him and his kids, as they are currently sleeping on the floor. He is a stay at home dad and struggles financially. They are currently all sleeping in the same room because he has been unable to pay his hydro bill and they have no heat, so they huddle together with a single space heater to keep warm. Beds for him and his kids would go a long way to help with the health and safety of this family. In addition, a small monetary gift to help pay his hydro bill would be another significant gift for this family to help them move forward.

Help Improve a Child's Safety/Wellbeing
Mom and 5 month old son recently moved into their own apartment (2nd floor) after staying in a homeless shelter. Mom is receiving EIA but has not yet received child tax benefit due to issues with registration at birth. The 5 month old baby does not have a crib to sleep in and although mom has been looking for a crib, she hasn't found anything affordable. Mom also does not have a vehicle to transport a crib into her apartment. Mom and son would also benefit from a small couch for their living room as they are currently using a futon mattress as seating.
