There are two special needs non-minor dependents in need of twin beds. It has been observed that the futon that is being slept on is damaged to the point of being no longer usable, and the other youth has been reported to be sleeping on the floor. In addition, the youths have experienced significant trauma and loss, most recently, with the death of their caregiver and maternal aunt. The non-minor dependents continue to attend high school and accepts any and all resources made available. Furthermore, the current caregiver is on a limited income and the housing has limited space.( The caregiver has yet to receive financial assistance from the Department due to no fault of her own). At this time, the Department has provided the caregiver with space heaters and a carbon monoxide detector for the home. Obtaining new beds and comforter sets will keep the home stable and ensure placement approval. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A mother and two young children are in need of support with acquiring clothing for the two children and a diaper dispenser. The children are out growing the clothing they already have. The girl is four years old and uses size 5t, while the boy is two years old and uses a size 3t. The diaper dispenser is needed to maintain cleanliness within their area. The mother has plans to work, although she is in the process of situating child care before going back to work. The family is closely bonded and the mother strives to access needed items for the children. Now that the mother is not employed, she is able to advocate and access resources to temporarily support the family. The mother is receptive to therapeutic and other social services she is participating in and continues learning to provide proper care for the children. A weblink within the notes section is noted for the diaper dispenser, although the family will gladly take any alternative item. Thank you for your consideration with supporting this family.

This request is for a family of two. The family recently reunified. The family started participating in weekly Regional Center Services for the child. Mother and child reside in one bedroom. The family is in need of assistance with acquiring a mini fridge, so they can store their food separately from the other residents within the home. A web link is provided within the notes section for the mini fridge. The family will gladly take any alternative mini-fridge as well. Mother sustains her family with the limited income she receives and is in the process of job searching. She currently has limited family support, as some family has relocated out of the country. The assistance with providing the needed item would greatly benefit the family in demonstrating their stability during an upcoming court hearing in the month of May 2022. Any support is greatly appreciated.

We are working with a mother of five, ages 15 years - 9 months old. Family is in need age appropriate toys for 9 month old. Baby scored developmentally low in Fine Motor Skills and Problem Solving areas of development. Age appropriate toys would enhance these skills. We are requesting financial assistance of $457 for a single mom to get her windshield replaced. This will insure physical safety while driving with her daughter in the car. Because it is spreading everyday mom is afraid it will shatter while driving, which could potentially cause an accident or other safety hazards. Mom is a hardworking individual, who is loving, caring and just wants to provide the best care for her daughter. Her mom recently passed away and she has been charged with taking care of her mom's house, which is in probate, as well as her own. The additional expenses has made it difficult for her to take care of other things that arise, like her cracked windshield.

Mother of three is in need of financial assistance. Currently, the youngest is student at our school. The older children were students here at our school before graduating. This family has been very involved in our school community and has been integral in helping spread the word about the school. Her children are well behaved and we are happy to know them and to have helped them on their educational journey. Mom is a hairstylist and does personal catering on the side. However, her main source of income was cut off when her job shut down because of COVID. They have not since opened back up; which is why the family would benefit from assistance. In order for their lights not to be cut off, we are requesting financial assistance of $1783.63, the amount of the light bill, otherwise the lights might get cut off at their house, which would cause many disruptions. We want the family to continue to feel safe physically and emotionally. Fulfilling this request will help the mom to strengthen her capacity to provide that for her children.

We have an 11 y/o female child in foster care; this is the second time she's with our agency due to separation from her mother. She and her brother are in the same foster home. The youth would like to attend summer camp at YoungLife Camp in June (06/16 - 06/20) but the caregivers cannot afford to pay for the camp. The cost is $540 for the entire camp. The youth has been counting the years for her to be old enough to attend this camp and now she is finally able to. We are hoping someone can please help us send her to camp! Thank you for your consideration.

The youth is a minor expecting her first child. She is so excited to be a mother and her love for her baby shows every time she talks about motherhood. She is extremely responsible and wants nothing more than to provide a safe and loving home for her daughter. The youth has experienced a lot of loss in her life and does not have family support to help guide her through this new chapter or provide support. Through her struggles, the youth has kept a positive outlook on life. The youth has prepared a lot for the baby and already purchased most of the big items. However, there are a few more essentials she needs. The youth needs a reliable stroller to transport the baby on the bus, well as a baby carrier. The youth would also like to request a baby walker for when the baby is ready explore the home more independently.

A single mother and three young children are in need of support. The minors would really appreciate being rewarded with 3 toys (1 spy ninja kit and 2 mermaid dolls) for being able to improve their behavior. The family has made progress in learning to communicate effectively and the minors are responding to appropriate redirection. Weblinks to the specific toys the children placed on their wish list are noted within the notes section, although any alternative item will gladly be welcomed. The youngest child is in need of size 6 diapers and baby wipes. The oldest child, being a male, is in need of new shoes (size 1, youth) as he is growing out of his only pair. The child is also growing out of his clothes and needs assistance with acquiring clothing. The mother can be contacted to provide size information. The mother would also benefit from receiving laundry detergent as she recently became unemployed and is experiencing financial stress. The mother is very independent and strives to do her best to provide for her children and is in the process of looking for employment once again. The family has been participating in therapeutic/counseling services for approximately three months. The family is closely bonded and makes themselves available to services.

We are working with a family of four who is in need of a double stroller, a high chair and tummy time toys. Children are a set of twins which makes it financially difficult to buy a pair of things. A stroller would help the family get up and going outdoors as they have been indoors throughout the pandemic. It most definitely would help mom mentally to be able to go for daily walks with the twins. They currently own one high chair and children take turns but having another will help the family as they'll be able to eat together. Tummy time toys are also needed for their development to help strengthen their neck and shoulder muscles to encourage crawling. Thank you for your support with this family!

Local police reported that there was recently a car-to-car shooting. The suspects chased each other in their cars and one ended up colliding and totaling a parked pick-up truck. The truck was owned by a father, who is a long time community member, a landscaper, and sole provider for his family of 5. Since his truck was totaled, the collision has left him without means to get to work and support his family. The father is desperate to get another pick-up truck type of vehicle as he needs it for his landscaping work. He and his wife have 3 children and appreciate any assistance for a work vehicle and other immediate needs.
