Mother has 8 children in the home with one of the children having a child of her own. They recently moved into a new home and are struggling to find enough bedding for the family. Mother has asked for 3 twin beds, with box springs, and any frames, bedding, associated with the beds. Not all the children have beds.

A struggling family has opened their home an taken in two elementary age boys. The boys are in a small room and are needing a bunkbed. These kiddos have experienced some moving around so getting them set up their kinship home and stabilized is highest priority. When asked about favorite colors, the boys' worker says they are not picky on the color of their bedding they just want bedding for boys! Having a bunkbed setup will make room for them to have a much-needed dresser. They will even have a little space left on the floor for playing with their hot wheels!

This single mom's chronic health issues prevent her from being able to take her daughter to school, which has led to struggles with attendance. She was able to transfer her daughter from a magnet school to the neighborhood school closer to their home; however, due to past experiences, the daughter does not feel safe walking even a short distance to school alone, especially when it is still dark in the early morning hours. A bicycle would alleviate this stress and allow the daughter to get back and forth to school each day without needing her mother with her.

With love and determination, she creates a nurturing environment for them, ensuring they feel safe and cherished. However, managing a household with so many young ones comes with its challenges, the household is in need of some essentials to preserve this placement for the children. The household is in need of 1 twin size bed in a bag. 3 queen size bed in a bag, set of dishes that serves 8, silverware, 8 cups, pot and pans cookware and a baby walker, New or used would be a blessing.

Reliable transportation will help in the requirement for expedited reintegration of this family unit. What is needed is assistance with a car payment to stop a scheduled, repossession of the vehicle.

Father is in need of assistance to pay off his fine for not having a driver's license so that he can get his license back and get a vehicle so that he can transport his children, age 2 and 4, to a from appointments. His 4yo daughter has severe special needs and goes to multiple differennt therapies throughout the week to help with swollowing, speech, motor skills and school. If he could get his drivers' license he wouldn't have to try to put his daughter on a city bus with her wheelchair. Father is also in need of size 7 diapers for his daughter due to being denied by insurance due to her not yet being age 5.

Home has been found having bed bugs and family needed an exterminator. "From the family, we have discovered that we have bed bugs and is getting treated on Thursday morning. I will send the estimate in the next email because I forgot. Is there anyone that you know that can help with $2400. The pest control bills the management company and then I have to pay them per contract of the lease."

Homeless family needs help to rehouse: This family moved to Wichita for contract work at a major aircraft company. When economic hardship fell on the company, the contract ended early. The family became homeless when they used all their savings and dad was in a car accident. The mom is pregnant and unable to work but also providing care for their two-year-old child. Children 1st Employment Team is working with the dad to secure employment. We also have funds to pay for a short-term hotel stay while they find housing.
