I am working with a single mom of two vulnerable children, who has been living with family, which is not stable. She has found an apartment, who is willing to accept $500 deposit to secure apartment with move-in date June 1. She is working and is able to use her entire check this week, which is $450, towards the deposit. She is lacking $50 towards securing her apartment. It would mean so much to this family to secure their own apartment, and have a safe, and stable place to live.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

A father is needing gas money to travel to and from court from Kansas to Oklahoma.

This request to help a foster family with very sweet, active, almost 4 year old boy and his birthday party coming up. He is really wanting a bike with training wheels and loves playing outside. The family also have 3 other foster children in the home and is requesting some help in making his day great. My ct has been trying to get employment for the past few weeks and not having any luck with that. In the meantime in his home he has not really had a working stove/oven for a while since Thanksgiving and now would really like one for him and his girls. Having a stove/oven would help him make better nutritious meals for him and his girls. He is not particular about his six. shape or color of any stove he may get because it doesnt have to fit between cabinets or anything. It can be free standing on his own. However his house is not ready for a gas stove so he needs an electric one.

My ct is a new ct to our services and has been hitting the ground looking for work and an apartment for her and her kids but for right now has to stay with my ct's mother and her kids too. While staying in this home there is 3 adult mouths to feed and at least her 2 children on a fixed income of the grandmother and grandfather. They all have been balancing money as best they can paying bills as they can and have now gotten a cut of notice from the city of Drummond where they live because of an unpaid water bill for the house. My ct has sent me a copy of the letter that was the shut off notice and the bill at $325.61. My ct is asking for help with this bill under her parents name because this is where her and her kids are staying right now and having the water shut off would definitely hurt the kids safety and security of the home.

My ct spent all week in a ready for work program at the CDSA and he had nothing but good things to say about it. Because of that class he will not have income till its over if he is offered a job at the end. Now my ct shares good news but news that would cost him more money until he gets a job. My ct said on June 1st his daughter was going to live with his this summer when he already has missed a lot of time with her during the school year because of lack of money for transportation to get her. My ct and his daughter will have to live at his grandmothers house still for right now. This however was both good and bad news that he gets to see her but its another mouth to feed when doesn't have the income for that. He's also got to provide her a bedroom at his grandmothers house and clothes plus things to do for the summer .Ct asking if the care portal could help with that. First he needs help with gas money to go get his daughter in Southern Oklahoma, then he needs some maybe gift cards to get her some clothes that she will wear. She is a picky teenage and wont wear some things bought for her by her dad in the past. As now my ct will have another mouth to feed and needs help with groceries for the summer. He would like help with things to make his daughters temporary bedroom feel like home with some teenage type decorations for her room and maybe a Walmart card or Tj maxx gift card for that cause teenagers have their own style.

I'm currently working with a grandmother that took placement of her 4 grandchildren. She is in need of a rear facing car seat for the 1 year old placed in their home. I have looked at the foster closet and there are infant car seats and forward facing car seats. -- The ERC does not have the car seat we need. This request is still needed. The family needs a rear facing car seat for the 1 year old.

I have a young lady ct just out of jail about 2 week ago trying to find and job and living with her parents whom also have guardianship of her kids right now. My ct doesn't have the best relationships with her parents that have her kids but she is trying to help them and help with her kids. The parents have exhausted there money on her lawyer expenses and need huge help with rent (like I have already ask for) but also there are things in the home that were neglected. My ct in her parents house needs a new microwave there is working but sometimes sparks on things. My ct needs queen bedding for her bed. The kid (2) of them dont have a dresser for their clothing. My Ct has been storing all kids toys and books in a storage tote cause they need a toy box for toys and a bookcase for the books that she wants to read to them. For her toddler they need a new playpen and the daughter has been breaking their current one and then for the son she needs toddler bedding for him too. It has been a struggle for a such a younger girl in her 20s to raise 2 children with no child support yet from the father and did for a while have her own struggles with drugs but is now trying to make it better. I do have a ct that has given her parents guardianship of her while she is needing to get her life back together. She is just fresh out of jail and wants to help her parents with her kids. My Ct is afraid of her financial situation and the situation of her parents causing her kids to end of in foster care. My ct is already also living with her parents where her kids were at when she was in jail. She told me that with hiring a lawyer all all legal fees her parents have done for her they didnt have money for last two months of rent and didnt pay it to their landlord. She tells me that their landlord is requiring a payment plan of getting caught up and asking they do $1200 now for rent and that is not something her parents even with her help if she get a job can help with. My Ct is looking for work but also need help with pretty much every things for daily living of her kids. She has requested help with clothes for her 2 kids . Her daughter is 2 and needs 3t or 4t pull ups plus 5 t and 6t shirts she says daughter is big chest but for pants wears 4t or5t pants she thinks. For her son who is 3 he needs 2t and 3 t clothes, diapers size 5 and shoes size 8 toddlers size. For both her kids she needs bathing stuff like body washes, lotions and diaper cream too

My ct needs some help with rent at $450 that was due already April 1st. My Ct has had a job at Tyson for a while but then out of no where started suffering heart attacks or high anxiety type issues and got put on a heart monitor. Her doctor wrote her a note for work explaining in his medical opinion she could still work as long as she was put on a lighter duty then normal. This was done for a week or two while the heart monitor was doing its job all the sudden Tyson fired her saying she was a liability to the company and they had to let her go. She is currently talking to a lawyer about the legality of this issue plus filing unemployment that she may or may not get. She also says the unemployment office says unemployment checks when approved can now take a month to get to you. That is crqazy which means her rent will come due again on May 1st. With her light duty work schedule being fired and being off for a week for medical reason my ct's last check was only $40 and needs help with two rent payment of $450 each (one being past due from April 1st the other due May 1st. She already lives in CDSA's housing which is already a low income apartment.

I had talked to my ct yesterday where she was able to catch up a lot of her rent. She rents with the CDSA and still owes them $249 for rent and that is the amount she needs help with now.

A current kinship placement has 4 children in the home (2 teenage foster children and 1 biological teenager). They have not started receiving their state stipend for having the children and are struggling on getting their electric bill caught up. The foster parents are now behind a month. The placement providers would be very appreciative if they could get at least $300.00 paid towards their OG&E bill so they can quit being so stressed about that bill. They also asked about getting assistance for some food as well. They stated that any assistance with these items would be greatly appreciated!!

We has been working with a family of 2 within Garfield County. The family has been actively engaged in services since 03/27/2025 and consists of a grandfather and his 9-year-old grandson, whom he is raising alone. This week, the family’s vehicle broke down. They have no other means of transportation, and are in need of assistance purchasing a new alternator to get it running again. The part is for a 1989 Chevy Scottsdale c1500, quoted at $175 by AutoZone. The family’s neighbor has offered to make the repairs free of cost once the part has been purchased. By assisting them in meeting this need, we can strengthen their efforts and remind them of the presence of a loving community behind them. Your consideration and support are greatly appreciated.
