The applicants are family members, and they have gained emergency placement of 3 children. The children are high-needs, and the family has been working really hard at meeting all of the court-ordered services. One of the children is in need of a high chair, as he is too small to sit in a regular kitchen chair. The family tries to include the children in all activities, including dinner at the table. The family is of humble means, and any support is appreciated.

A 1-year-old female will be placed in the same resource home as her minor mother, who is also a dependent, to avoid multiple placement changes. The resource parent has agreed to this arrangement in support of the anticipated reunification at the next court hearing in one month.

The resource parent has requested assistance with obtaining a car seat and a highchair. Providing a properly fitted car seat is essential to ensure the child’s safety during transportation. Additionally, a highchair allows the child to sit securely and safely during meals, preventing falls and promoting appropriate supervision while eating. Supplying these items will support the resource parent in maintaining a safe and stable environment for the child’s daily needs and ensure placement.

The resource family (sister of dependents) received emergency placement of 2 dependent males on 6/27/25; they are ages 7 & 11. The children came into care with very little clothing and only 1 pair of shoes. The resource parent is unable to purchase the children new belongings until approximately the end of the month when the resource father gets paid. The children had approximately 3-4 outfits each, a pair of pajamas and only a pair of crocs. The children are in need of some additional clothing and a pair of tennis shoes.

This family is requesting assistance with dump truck or dump trailer services. This relative care provider cares for one dependent toddler. They are extremely grateful to have received support last month but need further assistance in continuing to clear unused items from inside the home. The items are mainly personal items that have accumulated over time. Due to an infestation of pests within the home, it is crucial that the excess items be disposed of prior to extermination services. Your support in aiding the family will help the caregiver better organize the home to get rid of hiding spaces for pets so that it can then be properly treated for the infestation. This caregiver will need a trailer, assistance with picking up the items, and assistance with the items being disposed of. The cleanliness and safety of the home will improve because of your support, which is necessary to preserve placement of the dependent child.

The family is having issues with the 10 year old child leaving the home and wondering around town. The family would benefit with window and door sensors/alarms to help alert them if the child is leaving the home without permission. This security feature in the home could be beneficial to the family to assist them in the supervision of the child.

The father is progressing to overnight visits with his three children and in need of assistance with gift cards to a grocery store to ensure he has enough food for the children while they are in his care. The father has been engaging in his court ordered services and adjusting to one income to support himself and the children.

A father is requesting financial assistance with obtaining a gift card to buy clothes for his 5-year-old daughter and his 3-year-old son. The father recently began Family Maintenance Services with the Agency and would like to get the children new clothes and shoes as they have a limited amount of clothing items. The father is in the process of renting a home and recently began a new job. At this time, the father needs financial support to get the children clothes as he is limited with his finances. The support is greatly appreciated.

Two relative caregivers are in need of additional fans to cool their home. They currently have placement of one infant child. Their main A/C unit is currently broken, and they are relying on portable A/C units in the bedrooms of the home to cool the premises until they are able to get the main A/C unit fixed. This family could benefit from 3 portable fans to utilize in the home in order to create more air circulation and cool the expanse of the home. To ensure the safety and comfort of the home, these fans are needed. The addition of these fans would help to benefit the family and preserve placement of the infant child.

A youth on my caseload recently moved into her studio apartment. the youth has not been able to purchase essential household items and is requesting assistance. The items the youth needs are: Electric Griddle, Portable Lightweight Dual Coil Burner, A blender, Magic Bullet juicer. The youth would benefit from assistance as she will be able to fully settle into the apartment, and it feel like home. The youth will be able to have meals at home, instead of depending on family and friends for meals.

The family is currently experiencing significant economic hardship following the recent arrest of the mother’s adult son, who had been her only source of support and transportation. As a result, the mother is struggling to meet basic needs. She is undocumented and has expressed a deep mistrust of law enforcement and service providers, which has made it difficult for her to seek help. During the son’s arrest, law enforcement observed a visible cockroach infestation in the home. The mother shared that she has been making efforts to address the issue, but due to financial limitations, she is unable to purchase adequate pest control supplies. With the little money she had, she attempted to bomb the home last Friday; however, the infestation persists. The mother has expressed that, “by the grace of God,” if the Agency or any community partners could assist with providing repellent or pest control support, she would be deeply grateful. Addressing this issue is critical to maintaining a safe and sanitary living environment for the family. Thank you!

I am requesting Care Portal assistance on behalf of a mother and her two children who were recently evicted from their home and are currently residing in an emergency shelter. The family has experienced significant instability, including lack of access to basic necessities and transportation. The mother is actively seeking support but has very limited resources at this time. She is in need of a gas card to help her retrieve their remaining belongings from the previous residence and attend scheduled appointments, including one to access further support. Any assistance provided would help stabilize the family during this difficult transition and ensure the children’s immediate needs are met in a safe and dignified manner.

I'm reaching out on behalf of one of the young mothers in our program who is currently in need of a crib for her 7 month old daughter. This young mom is a high school student who is working hard to care for her baby while continuing her education. Like many in her situation, she is financially limited and is need of extra support. A crib would provide her daughter with a safe and secure place to sleep and bring peace of mind to a young mom doing her very best. This gift will make a meaningful difference in their lives.
