This loving grandmother is caring for her grandson, who was born malnourished and with multiple health conditions that require medical equipment in the home. She had to leave her full-time job to provide the constant care he needs, and while she will begin receiving additional financial assistance in the coming weeks, those funds will not arrive in time to cover her rent due on May 5th. Despite applying to several financial and housing assistance programs, she has not been eligible for support. Thankfully, her landlord is willing to work with her and accept partial payments to help ensure the family can remain in their home during this challenging time.

We are working with a Mom and her four young children ages 9, 5, 3, and 1, two boys and two girls, who have all recently moved to San Diego County; their Dependency case has been open for more than a year in a different County of California. Mom has been very active with attending Parenting classes + counseling and is doing everything she can to keep her four kids safe and well-cared for moving forward. Her school-aged children have transitioned to their new schools and are doing very well. Sadly, during the early stages of their Dependency case, the Father of these children was shot and killed and as a single Mother of four, this Mom has been struggling financially to continue to provide for her family. All she is requesting at this time is something fun and happy to do with her kids, maybe going to the Movies, or playing at an Arcade, or going to Sea World for the day, etc. I have put a Custom Tangible amount of $250 as an estimate of tickets to Sea World as an example, though those tickets can vary by price + day. However, anything delightful that can be shared with this family will be deeply appreciated by them and could potentially cost much less than the projected amount. Caregiver, Paternal Aunt, Needs a crib for 2-year-old child. The child and their Sibling have been detained from mother and are being placed with paternal aunt. Caregiver has a bed available for the older child and is unable to get a crib/toddler bed for the 2 year old on short notice. A single father of a 10-year-old, 18-year-old, and an adult disabled child was recently admitted into the hospital and there are serious concerns he may not make it, and if he does he won't be home soon due to recovery time. The children’s grandfather has stepped in, taking the responsibility of caring for the children while their father is in the hospital, but they are emotionally and financially struggling due to their circumstances.

The family lives in a small trailer in an RV park and another concern is they’re at risk of being evicted if they do not repair the trailer door. We have estimated that the hired cost to repair will be between $700-900 of if if anyone has access to have someone replace an RV trailer door this would be such a blessing for them. This will allow the grandfather to retain the housing for him and the children. Grandfather will not get any assistance or funding for the children for over 45 days or more so we are asking for some help in providing immediate help via a grocery card to help with food and a gas card to help carry them through this emergency situation.

The clients are 54 and 62-year-old caregivers, who are currently raising their 8-year-old grandson. They had to step in as his guardian, because both of his parents have issues with stability, have mental health issues and are unable to take care of him. The grandmother was laid off from her job and so they are living off of one income. What's Being Requested: Requesting 7 pairs of uniform polo shirts ($98), 5 pairs of uniform pants ($70) and 2 uniform sweaters ($54). To last for the rest of this academic year and all of next year. Total: $222 Brief description: The caregiver is the sole provider for her nephew, whom she's had since birth and sees as her son. Her nephew came into her care through dire circumstances as he was born with substances in his system. Tragically both his biological parents have passed away and so the caregiver does not receive any child support or public assistance to pay for expenses related to his care. She is on a very fixed income and is looking for support with buying her nephews uniform clothes as the uniforms can only be bought through the school as they have the school logo on them. Although he hasn't been officially diagnosed, the caregiver stated that her nephew displays multiple symptoms of Autism Spectrum Disorder and he struggles to take care for his clothes. His current uniforms appear worn and snug as he is growing. The caregiver is hoping for assistance to help clothe her nephew for the rest of this academic year as well as for next year. She has expressed gratitude for any and all assistance provided.

Father is in need of support to assist him in securing employment and paying the cost of renewing his forklift certificate. The children ages 8 and 6 are home with mother and father is working to reunify with his children. Parents plan on working things out and reunifying their family. However, during this time the father has been struggling with finding stable employment. The father had his forklift certification in the past but it has since expired. The father has been seeking employment in the same field and would like to renew his forklift certification so that he can find employment and help in supporting his children and the family.

A teenage single mother who is currently residing with her bio-father (single father) on his a humble single income household cannot afford to attend her prom. After speaking with the teenage mother's father, it appears she will be not be able attend her prom due to not having enough income to purchase her dress, shoes, and necessary items to attend this once- in a lifetime event. As her social worker, I would love to be able to allow her to attend her prom as she has gone through so many obstacles in life. Her mother abused her for most of her life, which resulted in her running away with her boyfriend who ended up physically abusing her too and endanging her baby girl. The teen mother is now living safely with her father and expected to graduate from high school this year. If you can assist, she would need about $250 to ensure the full cost of this event that she has expressed great desire to attend. The event will take place on 04/18/2025 so I would appreciate anyone who would be willing to help make this a reality to continue motivating her to achieve all her goals for her and her daughter.

Mother is a victim of doemstic violence. For the safety of her children and herself, she left the father of the children and is now navigating a single parent home. She has been cooperating with DCFS and completed a parenting course, attends DV support group and has worked closely with an in home counselor to improve her children's emotional well being. Mother secured employment. Unfortunately, her income is limited and barely covers the family's living expensese. Currently, mother and her three children are sleeping on one mattress on the floor.
