A sibling set of three needs your help. The children ages 3, 15, and 16 were placed into protective custody due to unsafe living conditions. It has been difficult to place the children into the same resource home due to their special needs and behaviors, therefore they are in different resource homes. A family member has come forward to receive placement of the three year old child. She is willing to take all three children so the siblings can remain placed together, however, she does not have enough beds to accommodate them. The children are in need of a bunk bed or trundle bed. The teenage boys are husky and tall, and a trundle bed may work better for them. When this need is met, the siblings will be placed together in the same resource home.

I am a social worker in emergency response with Child Welfare Services and this request is for a grandparent and 3 elementary aged children. The agency received a referral that the mother had become incapacitated and the grandmother stepped in to care for the children. The children are sweet and doing well in school and have been protected from the gravity of this situation. Grandma is happy to have the children in her home and she has the space for them but due to her limited income from retirement and the holiday coming up, she needs support to provide some things until she can successfully get aide resources switched over to her. Grandma's support needs are temporary but very important. Cold-weather clothing would help the children stay warm this winter/spring, a gas card would help grandma utilize her transportation to pickup the children, take them to appointments, or pick up food boxes, hygiene products would ensure the children are able to maintain their hygiene, and toilet paper and cleaning products would help grandma maintain a clean and safe environment. The following is being requested for your consideration:
-Household cleaning products, including laundry soap
-hygiene products: toilet paper, hand soap, body wash/soap, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, toothpaste
-gasoline card
-clothing: cold-weather clothing for 11 y.o. (size 12-14), 8 y.o. (size 7-8), 5 y.o. (size 6x, 6-7)
-removal of old mattress/box spring as there's no way to take it to the dump

Social Worker is currently working with an expecting mother, her three children, and her boyfriend. The family has recently gone from living in the car to getting a very small one bedroom apartment. The mother and her boyfriend sleep in the living room and the new baby will also sleep there with them. A pull out couch would be nice for the expecting mother has somewhere to sleep as well. The family is starting over and are in need of essential items. They currently do not have a refrigerator or a microwave and have no way to store food. They have very minimal dry food and when they cook they have to go buy it daily and cook it right away. The mother won’t get her Cal fresh benefits until 12/5/2023 but could use some help with groceries until then. The family is sleeping on air mattresses that usually deflate during the night, so a bunk bed for three children would be great. What clothes that cannot be hung up are being stored in bins, they are in need of a large dresser. The only furniture the family has is a kitchen table at this time, they are also using fold up lawn chairs to sit down on right now so maybe 4 wooden chairs so they van at least enjoy eating together as a family. The children have asked their mother about Christmas and the mother has said they are just thankful to God for a roof over their head this year and they will not be able to afford to get the children any Christmas gifts or even a Christmas tree this year. The family would be very appreciative of any

Hello I am currently working with a single mother of four children in the home from the age range of teenager to infant. This mother recently separated from her husband, who is also the father of the children due to ongoing domestic violence and substance abuse issues. The father was supporting the family financially throughout the relationship. The mother recently had to file for a restraining order to remain safe from the father. The father is no longer supporting the family financially and the mother is struggling to keep up with the bills for the home. The father was supposed to be responsible for the utility bills, but since the father left the home the mother is finding out the utility bills are behind on payments. The mother is in fear of losing her utilities and being able to have money for the children during the holidays. The mother would be appreciative of any financial support for her bills.

A mother to three children ranging from ages 2 to 15 years old is currently struggling to meet the basic needs of her children due to being a victim of fraud and has been left without her food stamps or cash aid ($ 800) that she receives to assist her with her rent. The mother continues to work in the fields picking fruit however due to the weather, work has been slow making her checks even smaller. A mother raising two children on her own is seeking assistance in a mini refrigerator. The mother is currently residing in a small room detached from the main residence and relies on storing her food in the main home. However, a mini fridge in her room would greatly benefit her and her children so they don’t have to walk to the main home. Social service worker currently working with a single mother and her four children, ages ten and under. The mother and her children were all staying at a homeless shelter in Visalia but unfortunately she and the children are no longer able to stay at that shelter. The mother currently has a housing voucher and is actively searching for low income housing at this time. The mother’s income this month was greatly reduced from its original amount so she will struggle a little more in the month of November. The mother is hopeful as she got a call today from an apartment that she may have a chance to quality to move into it soon. The mother just needs assistance with paying for two days of a motel/hotel stay (Oct 30th & Oct 31st) as she will get paid again on November 1st and she can start paying for the motel/hotel herself. The mother also drives a suv and requires lot of gas to get around town and get the girls to and from school and the baby to daycare and back on a daily basis. The mother would also benefit from a gas card. The mother and her children would be very appreciative of any help they can get with these items.
