Father of 3 was hospitalized and got behind on their electric bill due to missing work. The cut-off date for the electricity is March 30th, and the due date for the bill is April 1st. Please help this father to have a buffer for one month to get back on his feet. Any amount is helpful!
This family consists of a mother, an 11-year-old female, a 6-year-old female, and 3-year-old male. The father has visitation but lives in a different home. Recently the 11-year-old female has had some mental health issues that had placed her in the hospital and then in a kinship home away from her family to try to better her mental state. The mother and father are supposed to both be providing money to the kinship placement to take care of the child but the father is thought to be unemployed. To ensure the kinship placement is able to take care of the child long term a grocery gift card was requested, as well as some clothing items. Clothing would be girls' size 10/12 in tops and bottoms or adult size XS or 0.

We have a senior in high school, who is doing very well. He works part time, and is placed with an older brother in a fictive kin foster home. He does well in school. He has prom coming up, and FCDSS is out of the funds that could normally support youth going to Prom, so we are requesting either a donation of a prom tuxedo or suit, or enough money to purchase/rent one for the upcoming prom. He has been in care for four years, and has plans to continue on in our fostering futures program once he turns 18.

Boonsboro UMC will take the lead. If anyone closer would like to work on the relationship or help with the cleaning that would be great. (Or, if you want to fund or provide beds that would also be super helpful! Let's help these girls get back to their mom!

Sherry:
I have a beautiful twin bed and mattress along with a night stand for a girl. I need someone to pick it up and take it to the family.
Mom is working to have her children return home. One of the conditions is to ensure that the children have beds to sleep in. I am requesting two twin beds and mattresses for boys and a twin mattress. Mom did not request bedding but it seems that she may benefit from bedding as well. The children also need dressers for the clothes and hangers for the closets. At this time her gas has also been turned off due to her work hours being decreased.

The family is requesting assistance fixing a leak that has caused them to be unable to use the upstairs shower/bathtub. Mom and dad have five children under the age of eighteen in the home and six children total in the home that they care for. Dad works full time at Red Robin. Mom and dad both have extensive mental health needs. Two of the children have learning and physical disabilities. Since the shower has not been functioning, the entire family has had to share one shower. There is concern for the children’s hygiene due to this.

This request is for a family in need of a WAL-MART gift card to purchase a phone and a phone card. This phone card is to assist bio family. The parents need a phone to be able to communicate with service providers for appointments. Their son is currently residing with the maternal grandparents. The parents are working through substance abuse and mental health issues at this current time. They utilize the phone to maintain phone contact and video visits when they cannot see him face to face with the grandparents. The phone is essential to the parents for a variety of reasons. They lost their phone on the bus on the way to the appointment and it has not been recovered. The parents have several medical appointments, substance abuse treatment, as well as visitations with their son and a phone is a tool to be able to connect with all entities. Ultimately, the request is for a phone and phone card and the family would be appreciative if this request could be met. It benefits the parents to be able to stay in touch with service providers for their care. It is also emotionally and therapeutically important for their 4 year old son to be able to have adequate contact with his parents.

This is a big ask, but I feel it's worth trying for this family. Mom and Dad have been together since they were teenagers, they both grew up in poverty and Mom's mother had Huntington's and has since passed away. They both have some family for support, but it's limited. There are five children a girl aged 13, a boy aged 11, a boy aged 8, a boy aged 7 and a girl aged 2. Dad works full time but does not make enough to pull the family out of poverty and Mom suffers from depression, which is how I believe the situation with the children's teeth got so bad. All five children have rotting teeth, which is why CPS is involved. The middle son's been in constant, severe pain that caused him to have emotional and behavior outbursts at school, eventually leading to him standing on the top of a second floor stairwell railing attempting to jump off to end his life, he has since been expelled from school. The children have been sent to live with family and the family lost their home shortly after and all beds. The middle son currently lives with his paternal grandmother who reported he cried all night because his teeth hurt so badly that she offered to pay out of pocket for his dental care. The children have never had their own beds and have always had to share with each other, and were confused at the idea of having their own beds. Mom and Dad are doing everything they can to reach reunification. They have found a home but it is being cleaned of black mold.

Single father is currently behind on 4 months of rent due to being unemployed ($2,600 behind in rent). Fathers work assignment ended due to having to take one of his sons, who has cerebral Passley, to needed doctor appointments. Father disclosed that the child who has a disability has also had a couple of surgeries as well. Father has a total of two sons (twin boys ages 13). Father is actively looking for work and has been offered a job by two locations and has an interview at another location. Father's landlord has given him some grace with the rent, but father is worried because he has fallen behind and it has now been a few months. Any help at all is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

A caregiver has taken in the two sons of his go daughter. The boys have been placed with him for a few months and he is working in becoming an approved kinship foster home in order to get more supports for the boys and himself in caring for the boys. Both of the boys have been struggling emotionally in the absence of their mother. The caregiver is working on getting them into counseling as well as extra curricular activities to help give the boys healthy outlets and coping mechanisms. The caregiver is working on getting both the boys registered for track, but finances are tight right now until the foster care maintenance payments begin. The cost of the track registration and uniforms is $200 for each child. Any help with these fees is greatly appreciated and will help give the boys a healthy outlet and promote some normalcy for them.

This request is for a single father of three. The three children range in ages 4, 6, and 12. The family is in need of a VISA or Wal-Mart gift card. The father and his children are currently living in a hotel as he is trying to find stable housing. During their recent move, the kids were unable to bring all of their belongings. As a result of incident, the father lost his wallet while assisting his 6 year old during a crisis situation. Even though his wallet was located by a stranger he had already canceled all of his cards and requested new ones including his check card and SNAP benefits card. The requested gift card is to assist with groceries, and clothes for the children. He is also in need of the two car seats as his are not in very good condition. The family would greatly benefit from the gift card and the car seats.
