A student’s mom recently secured a new apartment for her family after overcoming some difficult circumstances. This move marks a fresh start and a chance for stability, but the family is still in need of some essential household items to truly make the space feel like home. They are currently in need of:

Nightstands

Bedding (sheets, blankets, pillows)

Cookware (pots, pans, utensils)

Participant is a single parent who gave birth to a son in February 2025. She suffers from a disorder and went into inpatient treatment with her baby. Participant is graduating from the program in a few weeks and will need a crib for her newborn as well as diapers and wipes. Diaper's size is 2 and preferred brand is Pampers.

A dedicated mother of three is currently working with the Hope Florida Program after experiencing a recent job termination. She is actively seeking full-time employment with the support of her Hope Navigator but is currently facing significant financial hardship. Her primary concern at this time is maintaining a sense of stability and normalcy for her children while ensuring that their basic needs are met. With summer break approaching quickly, the family's need for essential hygiene items and clothing has become more urgent. The client is unable to afford these necessary supplies due to her current financial situation. The family needs the following items: Personal Hygiene Supplies: Toothbrushes (1 adult-sized, 1 youth-sized, 1 child-sized); Toothpaste (family size or individual tubes); Mouthwash (alcohol-free, safe for children); Bar soap or body wash (gentle, unscented preferred); Shampoo and conditioner (family or age-appropriate formulas); Deodorant (for both 12 and 14-year-old girls); Feminine hygiene pads with wings (for the 12 and 14-year-old girls); Clothing Needs (Summer-Appropriate):; 14-year-old girl: Adult Medium tops, Adult Large bottoms; 12-year-old girl: Adult Medium tops, Adult Medium bottoms; 5-year-old boy: Child size tops and bottoms (around size 5T). This request is on behalf of a Hope Florida participant that is a single mother of 3 children. She is doing her best to provide a stable environment for her sons. She is unable to work due to caring for the 3 boys that are disabled. She has to attending multiple school and medical appointments due to their medical condition. She is on a limited fixed income to provide for the family. Unfortunately, she is unable to drive due to an eye condition and takes the bus to drop off and pick up the boys from school. With your assistance the mother will be able to keep all the necessary appointments by taking the bus. This will allow her to be able to concentrate on the needs of all the children. They are also in need of summer clothing as they will be attending summer camp in the upcoming school summer recess. The appropriate clothing will help them be able to play and interact with other children and boost their self-confidence and help them thrive. This resilient mother with three daughters one who is special needs and nonverbal. She is a stay-at-home mom who cares for her children as well as her elderly mother. Recently, she has encountered an urgent situation; her mother requires a wheelchair to move around more comfortably. Four young siblings (ages 12, 10, 6, 5) came into licensed care with barely enough clothing to fill a small sized grocery bag. They are currently placed together and the caregiver needs assistance. All children are in dire need of clothes and shoes. This support will promote their confidence and emotional stability and help ease the financial burden of the caregiver. Despite the current circumstances, the oldest sibling has exhibited such maturity while supporting her younger siblings. She is excelling in school and did very well during an important State test. She has a special request we hope can be fulfilled in addition to their current needs. Update: The caregiver was able to purchase shoes for the brothers. However, the girls are still in need.

This family of six is currently navigating a significant period of adjustment following recent reunification. This transition is compounded by the fact that the mother is pregnant and due soon, and they have just moved into a new apartment. With the mother currently unable to work due to her pregnancy and the demands of this transition, the family is facing some financial strain. A critical need arising from this situation is providing comfortable and space-efficient sleeping arrangements for the five children in their new apartment. Specifically, they are in need of a 3-in-1 bunk bed. Fulfilling this request would have a profound positive impact on our family by immediately addressing the lack of adequate beds, while optimizing the limited space in their new apartment, and creating a more comfortable environment for the children. This would alleviate a significant financial burden, and reduce some stress on the mother, enabling her to focus on her health and the upcoming arrival of the new baby.
