A grandmother has been taking care of her 6 year old granddaughter because her son is unable to. They have been living in a hotel for the past several months and have struggled to find an apartment due to finances and the bad rental history she had from when she allowed her son to live with them in the past. Over the past few months, the grandmother has been able to save up enough money for them to move into an apartment. They are excited to be able to live in a safer neighborhood and have a place for the granddaughter to play. Since they were staying in a hotel, neither of them have beds to sleep in when they move into the apartment. Some help providing them with beds would be greatly appreciated!

The children were remove for ongoing issues with Domestic Violence allegations and skull fracture to the 1 year old. Aunt was able to take placement and she needs help with bunk beds for the children to sleep. She was able to get a bed for the 1 year old but the other children she not able to afford it. The other children currently sleeping in one mattress. The other children are 5years old, 9 years old, and 8 years old.

A single mother and her 3 young children are trying to move into a new apartment. They must leave their current apartment by the 30th of May and has found an apartment ready to move into on June 1st. This mother has significant financial burdens at this time while also being medically exempt from working due to a brain injury. She has been trying to utilize community resources but has had very little luck in any financial assistance. This mother is very uncomfortable with the idea of staying at the People's City Mission which is her only other choice as she has no family supports who can provide temporary assistance. Please, help this family move into a warm, safe apartment so they don't have to worry about where they are sleeping at night and can move on to other priorities. Any amount helps!

This request is for a one year old female child. Mom is working with the Department voluntarily and is working to separate from her abuser. Mom does not have much access to finances and her daughter has grown out of her infant/newborn car seat. This child is needing to move up to a five-point car seat so she can ride in the car safely for daycare and other activities.

The mother of my case has experienced lots of trauma, domestic violence, and manipulative relationships. The mother lives with her two children. The father of one of the children who was a perpetrator in many domestic violence situations with the mother knows where they live. This mother has been trying to protect her children. This mother had her home broken into a few weeks ago and is unsure of who did it. The front door frame is broken and the door does not close or lock. this mother cannot afford to have this fixed. This mother needs the door frame fixed to ensure the children's safety. There are two children living in the home. With this door frame being fixed they will be safer residing in their home.

A single-mother of 4 teenagers is needing help getting hygiene products, specifically women's shampoo and conditioner. The family is currently facing significant financial and emotional hardship and is prioritizing their income towards rent to stay in their apartment instead of moving back into temporary hotels. Maintaining hygiene is essential for the family's health and self-esteem. Please, help this family maintain their hygiene as they find ways to support themselves.

I am working with a family—single mother and her two children—who are in urgent need of a hotel stay for the weekend. This parent has struggled with maintaining housing since she lost her son a few years ago. Due to an unexpected emergency surgery this past summer, this parent is temporarily unable to work, further complicating the family's financial situation. Support services are working with the family on identifying a more sustainable/stable living arrangement; in the mean time, they are needing temporary shelter 05/16 through 05/18. Any contribution is greatly appreciated!

This household consists of two adults and eight children, ages ranging from 5 months to 13 years. Of the eight children, the six youngest remain placed in the home. This past week, the family's water was shut off due to unpaid utility bills. One parent has been unable to work and is in the process of applying for disability, the other recently began a new job, but does not yet have enough saved to cover the entire water bill. At this time, there is a remaining unpaid balance of approximately $595. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

I am working with a family—single mother and her two children—who are in need of clothing and some hygiene products. This parent has struggled with maintaining housing since she lost her son a few years ago. Due to an unexpected emergency surgery this past summer, this parent is temporarily unable to work. Both of the children have minimal clothing items, which are becoming worn. As the family is currently without housing, they also do not have easy access to laundry. The children are middle school and high school age, but very tall, (6’ and 6’2”); as such they have had difficulty finding clothing that fits at donation sites. This family has been referred to family support services; an identified goal of said referral is addressing their financial needs. Family support will work with this family on identifying resources and developing/implementing a budget. I sent a similar request in the past but did not receive any response; as such, I've adjusting this referral in hopes it may reach more community members! The current need is for clothing of the following sizes: shirts- XL & XXL (long) and pants- 36 & 38 (long). This request is for either clothing donations, or a gift card to be used during family support to purchase the aforementioned items for the children. This request is for $100, however, any donation is appreciated!

A single mother of three young children is unable to work due to a traumatic brain injury. She has been unable to pay her electricity bill due to prioritizing other needs for her children. Her electricity has now been shut off and they are now living without it. She is in need of $508.85 to have her power restored. Please, help this mother and her babies by donating. Any amount helps, and it does not need to be the exact amount.

I am currently working a two-parent household with three children. The mother and father in the household is very receptive to the role of DHHS and is open to all and any help she can get for their three children. The children are very bright, talkative, respectful, and kind. The parents have been dealt with bad cards and have a lot against them at this time. The family had to recently gut the entirety of their residence to make it safe and suitable for everyone. The family now has no furniture and beds. The family will continue to work with DHHS.

I am working with a mom and two children who are in need of car seats. This mother has been engaged with the Department for several months and is making great progress. She is currently working and barley making ends meet. She is asking for help with purchasing two car seats for her two young children.
