An awesome single mother and her smart and beautiful 3 year old twin toddler daughters, whose smiles and contagious laughs would light up your life, are in desperate need of a few items to help with making their home function a little bit smoother. Now that both girls are attending Prek, the mother has been working hard to maintain structure and routine in her home. One need she has expressed is being able to have a dining table that she and her daughters can sit at together to have meals and complete homework and craft projects. The mother has also requested assistance with getting a washer and dryer. She is still working to potty train her daughters, which has been getting better but it been challenging for her to keep clean clothes and linen in her home. She doesn’t have a vehicle or live in an apartment that has a laundromat so it can be a bit challenging during the week with trying to do laundry and ensure the girls have clean uniforms daily. Due to many toilet training mishaps, the girls are in need of new mattresses and linen for their toddler beds. These precious girlies can also use toy boxes, toddler girl clothes, and night time pull-ups. This mother has many cognitive and mental health challenges, and she experienced various setbacks throughout her. She has overcome being neglected and abused during her childhood, and losing custody of her oldest children, whom she has been able to reconnect with, and she is now moving forward after being a victim of domestic violence. As this mother continues to work on obtaining financial stability, she and her daughters are in a much happier and healthier place and every day gets better. The mother is seeking assistance with creating a resume and with learning how to count money. This mother is willing to accept used items and this request is not for new items only. The primary caseworker is able to pick up and deliver items to the family, including appliance and furniture items. These request will assist this family with more greater days to come!!! Thank you so so much in advance for choosing to support this family!!
This student is a 2nd grader who lives a mile away from the school. Her walk would be a 20-minute walk by herself, crossing major roads to return home. Her mother is not able to get off work to pick her up, no one else in the home drives, and the school bus doesn't pick up anyone within a 2-mile radius. This student desperately needs to be at school each day. When her mother is not able to pick her up due to her work schedule, the student does not come to school. The family is in need of funds to pay for after-school care each month.
EDP is $377 per month or $3,016 for the year.
I have a family who is currently in an emergency housing situation. The family consists of a single mom with three children. The student is in 8th grade on my campus, but he also has a brother in 12th grade, and a brother that is too young for school. The family was just evicted from their housing situation, and they are staying at a hotel with no mode of transportation or funds. The family is in need of 200.00 dollars to be able to stay in a two bedroom hotel room for the week while they figure out a more permanent option. As of right now, both students are unable to attend school and all four family members are sharing one hotel room. The family's need is very urgent. Any assistance that can be offered is greatly appreciated.
I have a family who are not US Citizens, so many of the resources available cannot be accessed by this family. Recently the mother has become ill and cannot work as much as typical. As such, she is paying full price for medications (which are not typical expenses on previous income). I would love to get any help possible for the family. Two ways I believe this is possible is by paying the baseball registration for the elementary brother of my student at the cost of $140. Additionally, gas cards in order to help alleviate the cost of living in the amount of $200. This would allow mom to get to and from work.
The caregiver is a paternal aunt currently caring for her two nieces ages 1 1/2 years and 6 months old. The children were removed from their home of origin due to abuse/neglect. The caregiver is willing to provide long term care should the need arise. The caregiver is in need of a toddler bed for the older child as it would create a better sleeping space for her. Providing assistance to the family would be a great help as they are experiencing some financial restraints.
17 year old teen mom is in need of laptop in order to complete high school. Youth is enrolled in a nom-traditional school setting that will support youth in graduating high school on time. Youth has fallen behind in school due to being a mom and student simultaneously. Youth is an amazing mother and really tries hard to succeed. A laptop will further help youth reach her academic goals in order to further support her transition out of foster care.
The kinship caregivers are requesting a convertible car seat for the youngest female child that CPS has placed in their care. This 22-month-old is growing quickly and will soon outgrow her current car seat. The ideal car seat would hold a child with the weight of up to 90/100 lbs. The family stated they were also looking for a highchair and/or toddler seat that would fit onto a kitchen chair. This will allow the family to properly feed the child without holding her while they are attempting to eat. The family has been very diligent in meeting the children's needs and are only lacking these two items. At this time the family does not qualify for kinship funds so these items would be very much appreciated if they are able to be supplied.
Our fully accredited high school is in need of insulated water bottles for students. This will free up financial resources to meet true student needs rather than having to purchase drinking cups and throw them away. Each student could have their own water bottle. We provide full wrap around case management for our students, many of which face homelessness and have poor to no relationships with caring adults.
Our fully accredited high school provides full wrap around case management services for our 27 students, many of which face homelessness and lack of positive adult relationships. As part of our school, lunches are provided and we have a need for 24 oz insulated water bottles so that each student can have their own. This would allow us to put money spent on drinking cups to true student needs.
Hello,
I have a single mother with 4 kids that are in desperate need of a bunk bed and two twin size mattresses. Mom was just approved for housing and is in need of furniture.
Thank you kindly!
Summary: Family of middle school student requesting help with groceries and utility bills.
Context: Student comes from a single-parent household, where Mom is a dedicated educator struggling to make ends meet. In the past, the family has struggled with stable housing, but through their hard work and determination, they have improved their situation significantly. However, the start of school has put a strain on their resources, and they are needing help with groceries and their electricity bill. If this need was met even partially, it would help both the student and Mom maintain the stability and wellbeing they have worked so hard to achieve.

There is a single mother with with twins who have recently got her children returned to her. The case is currently on a monitor to return and we are hoping to avoid removing the children again. The mother is months behind on rent and could possibly be evicted soon if she does not make payment. The mother does not have any financial assistance from her family and is trying to do everything on her own. Financial assistance with her rent can help prevent a removal of the children and them coming back into foster care.
Youth in need of fees for driving test. Having her DL is the first step in the youth's goals of independence. She has passed her written test and consistently been practicing her driving skills in order to be ready for the driving test. This next step will allow new doors and opportunities of advancement for the youth that will bring about stability and independence!

Combined household including infant, toddler, elderly grandmother, and father with cancer. There is a leak under the kitchen sink they cannot afford to fix on their own. Father is sick and only one who works in home. They have very little money. If this is fixed, it will help them to improve the family home, and prevent further destruction of the cabinet space, and illness from mold.
We had a mother come in this afternoon (8/29) sharing that her and her two children (elementary and middle- GCISD) will be evicted tomorrow (8/30) if they do not come up with the rent for the past 3 months. We are looking into trying to get them temporary housing while they try to get into a more permanent situation. Hotel/motel vouchers would be super helpful. The mother has had her car repossessed by the bank and is now borrowing from someone. She would benefit from a gas card in the mean time to get to her new job.
The students of Carter High School have several students who are in low income households who are in critical need of School uninform shirts. Without students being in proper uniform they are unable to attend classes. Having this need met will keep children in classes and help with emotional well-being of the students by knowing they are in uniform. We are requesting 50 Blue Polo style shirts. Sizes are adult small, medium, and large.

Our fully accredited high school serves 27 students who have not been successful in traditional educational settings. Many of our students face homelessness and lack of involvement with caring adults and parents. We have full "wrap around" case management to help each student succeed. Our students need pants in order to meet our dress code. Students need black or khaki pants with no holes or rips.
It's only been week one and we've already seen several students with "accidents" walking down the hallways. We just want to make this experience easier for them and to help them not lose any instructional time waiting for their parents in the office to change.
