Maternal grandmother/current caregiver of her 4 young grandchildren is seeking financial assistance to help pay one month in mortgage payments. All children will be adopted by caregiver in Decembers of 2023; she is adjusting their finances and current budget in order to start paying daycare funds. The family does not qualify for Colorado Child Care Assistance Program and they have been receiving special circumstances from Colorado Child Care Assistance Program for quite some time now. Birth parent rights for child have been terminated; caregiver has been caring for the child throughout the duration of Dependency & Neglect case. She is working hard to support and care for these children while navigating the process of adoption. This request is for $1,158.94 to provide the family with financial assistance through their mortgage. If the full amount cannot be produced, any amount would be appreciated.

The Department is working with a father who is in need of phone minutes for a pay-as-you go phone. He recently moved into a halfway house from jail and has obtained employment, but he does not yet have the funds to cover the cost of this, as he is just starting out again. This item is needed so that he can maintain open lines of communication with treatment providers and the professional team. He is engaged in visits with his 4-month-old son and 1-year-old daughter and all aspects of treatment, and is highly motivated to move his case forward. Any assistance with this need is greatly appreciated!

A single mom needs help getting Christmas presents for her two children. They are working on rebuilding their relationship, and this mom really wants to be able to provide a nice Christmas for them. They both really enjoy Cocomelon and Bluey. If this need is met the girls will be able to have a good first Christmas with just their mom. The children are both girls, one is 4 and the other is 1. Any toys with this theme or gift cards to help with this need is appreciated.

A local single foster mom is caring for two teen boys in foster care and would love to surprise them with some brand new shoes! We know it's a big ask, but they can't stop talking about Jordans and would be BLOWN AWAY to get some. Would also be great with some Amazon gift cards to be able to pick out their absolute favorites! One wears size 7.5, one wears size 10. If Jordans are outside of a comfortable price range, they would still be grateful for an Amazon gift card of any amount to be able to pick out some new shoes! Thank you!

This family is currently going through hard times financially. They have 2 girls and are living in a camper currently, trying to find a more permanent place to live. This mom has always put her girls needs over her own and always has a plan B and C if needed. This mom could really use either a Wal-Mart gift card for basic needs, or a gas card as they live about 45 mins from her girls' school which has been a constant for the girls and she could use gas to help get them to and from their school. Any help would be greatly appreciated from this family during this time.

Greetings,
This request is for a single mother who is actively working towards becoming reunified with her son. This mother is struggling with her finances, transportation, and communication. After speaking with the mother, she is in need of a cell phone and minutes to be able to stay in communication with all parties of this case and to be able to schedule for appointments as well as spend family time with her son. Mother is very motivated to become an active part of this case and would greatly appreciate this barrier being removed. This phone will also assist her in becoming self sufficient as she will be able to utilize community resources to better her current situation. A phone and minutes card from Walmart is appreciated.
Thank you for your generosity! It is highly appreciated by the family.

The LOFT, (formerly known as The Family Visitation Center) which is the the area of DHS that starts family time with families when children are initially removed from their home. We are located within the DHS building at 1675 GOG Rd. During the week prior to Christmas, The LOFT staff would like to share some holiday spirit with the families we serve. To do this we are in need of some holiday games, crafts to make, and gifts to give. The LOFT will be closed December 22-26, so we will be having all families come in prior to their regularly scheduled time in order to make sure the families get to see each other before the holiday. We will be having our holiday celebration with families the week of December 18th-21st, so the soonest y'all would want to start givings gifts! On average we have about 25-35 families coming to have family time during a week. Age ranges of children are from newborn to 17, but on average children's ages are newborn to 13 years old. The LOFT staff would love to be able to provide games, crafts, and even give the children some small gifts during the week prior to Christmas to make this time special for the families. The parents of these children are not always able to buy anything for their children so any help with these items would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Special Instructions:
This request is for The Department of Human Services to help support family time. This can be delivered to DHS.

Due to these circumstances, the family has not been able to prepare for the imminent birth of their baby.
