A Single mom and her two children have been approved to move into a transitional housing unit after years of unstable housing. This will be the first "safe" living environment this family unit has experienced and Mom is beyond excited. This family has no extra income to purchase needed supplies for their home. Request is for a Walmart gift card so the family can purchase mattress protectors and bedding sets.

Mom and her two children who are have been living between unstable housing situations for several years have been approved for a year long transitional housing unit. This unit is unfurnished and the family has no extra income to furnish or purchase supplies. Many of the household items can be found through community partners through donation, however it would mean a great deal for this family to have brand new mattresses to sleep on. This kinship provider is in need of some financial assistance with groceries. There are multiple kiddos in the home and the provider could use some support. Any help is appreciated!!

I am seeking financial support to help fund driving lessons and a driver’s test through Drive Safe Driving School for a resilient 19-year-old young adult who hasn’t had the opportunity to learn the essential skill of driving due to significant life barriers. This young man, his mother, and 11 year old brother have been living in a temporary unstable housing situation in rural Douglas County. Transportation options are severely limited. His mother does not have a valid dritver’s license, and there are no family or friends available to teach him how to drive. This young adult has navigated life under the weight of chronic instability and poverty. Getting to essential services is a constant challenge and vital resources like food pantries are often inaccessible. Despite challenges, this young man is working closely with community services and making great strides toward independence. He is committed to earning his GED, having been disconnected from the education system since 8th grade, and he is highly motivated to gain stable employment. The opportunity to drive would be life-changing: it would open doors to jobs, education, and essential services, while also giving him a sense of dignity and self-worth that comes from achieving a goal so many of his peers take for granted. Financial funding may contribute to giving a young adult who has faced overwhelming obstacles a real chance at building a stable and successful future.

I am working with a mother who lost custody of her child. She is working on getting him back, but she is struggling financially. She does not have much food in her home despite going to food banks. She is making it by on minimal groceries for herself, but she does not have enough food to supply to her son. She is working full time and is doing the best that she can. I am hoping to get her some support through a King Soopers gift card so she can purchase some groceries for her son. He is 3 years old and is very picky on what is being received by the food bank.

I am currently working with a single mother of two who is a survivor of domestic violence. She is currently doordashing as her primary job, but she is struggling to afford the amount of gas that goes into doordashing. She has a 4 year old son that she takes with her since she cant afford daycare. I am asking for any help in assisting mom with some gift cards for gas so ensure that she can continue to doordash while caring for her two children. The father is currently out of the picture due to a recent arrest for domestic violence against mother. I do not want mother to feel as though she needs to reply on her abuse to provide her for herself and her children.

Mom was had aa assessment for the family with the ongoing caseworker for DV kids were in the home when The father was in a standoff and he barricaded himself in the home while chidden were present with police children remained the home with Mother she has all 3 three kids in the home with her and Father in this assessment has to live outside of the the home due to other concerned for our involvement . Mother take car of all the children by herself and cannot work as their family dynamics look different with Father out of the home. it was decided that the family would need to baby proof the home. The assessment would close out DHS services and family would get resources for DHS for baby proofing items' needed . One of the children is almost 16 months and can current access areas of the home that are not safe . A young couple is seeking important baby items as they prepare for the birth of their second child this summer. They are newly settled in the state, and most of their family and support live outside of the country. Though they are excited for this next season with their growing family, they are struggling to collect larger baby items. This mom is not working currently as she stays home with their two-year-old son, and her husband is their primary source of income. She has been very intentional in establishing her regular doctor’s care through this pregnancy and is also actively exploring what supports are available for their growing family. We would love to help to set them up before the birth of their child, so that they can confidently focus on the immediate needs of their two young children. They specifically need a car seat and stroller combination as well as a bassinet. These items would afford them the peace of mind of knowing they can leave the hospital after birth and set their little one up with a comfortable space at home. Single parent of three children needs help with household items for the kids, the family is facing instability with housing. Family is looking at options with family and rapid resolution. A single woman has recently confirmed that she is further along in her pregnancy than she originally thought. She has taken great initiative in establishing prenatal care in the last few weeks after making a brave decision to move forward with her pregnancy. Her initial concerns in delaying care were based on not having medical insurance and feeling overwhelmed by the possibility of high medical bills. She has consistent work, but her income is limited at this point. Though she has connected with her partner and his family and has their support for her next steps, she is focused on gathering larger baby items before her due date in June. She has been consistent in receiving emotional support as she is taking these steps, and we would love to help her to prepare physically for the birth of her little boy this summer. She needs a car seat and stroller combination and a crib. These items are essential as she leaves the hospital after birth and is setting up a safe and comfortable home for her new little one. Client is a single mother of three, working on having the children return to her care. Client has been very engaged in treatment and has overcome significant mental health challenges and impacts from past trauma. Client is working on getting a vehicle to be able to transport the children to and from school, appointments, activities, etc. Client is trying to save money to make a down payment for a used vehicle; however, is struggling to do so as the sole financial provider of the home. Client is close to having the children return to her care; however, there are concerns about her ability to be successful without the ability to transport the children to appointments/school and assistance with a down payment for a vehicle would help ease concerns and help this mom meet the needs of the children.

Our client is a single parent that does have some help from her support, but is in need of a mattress for her newborn's crib. Her son is currently at the NICU and will be discharging soon. She is in need of baby clothes, clothes for her oldest daughter who is 4yo, diapers, and any other baby items like a baby carrier; however, her highest priority is getting a mattress for the crib so that her baby can sleep comfortably and safely!
