We are logging this request on behalf a the DCS caseworker who is on the road back to the office.

Three siblings have had an extremely difficult time in and out of foster care. Most recently they were removed from their current foster home at no fault of their own. Their courageous aunt and uncle, who have already five kids, are opening up their home for a kinship placement.

A bunkbed and two twin beds are needed to rearrange current sleeping arrangement and accommodate the new new children. There are two tween girls, a teen girl and a teen boy. This family had no notice a the kids came without any of their personal belongings. We are asking for a clothing allowance and groceries to help with the transition.

Any support for this courageous family is greatly appreciated.

An Aunt in Marshall county had 5 of her nieces and nephews placed with her while parents work services. The aunt is needing assistance in paying a water bill. She has not been able to work as many hours due to kid's appointments and her checks being garnished. If the bill is not paid, her water will be cut off. She is thankful for any help she can receive.

We are working with a local family that has adopted special needs child and are having a mold issue in their home. As a result they are being moved from rental to rental. This a great stress on the family to be out of their wheelchair accessible home. Due to the neighborhood requirements they still to maintain the yard during the months the home is uninhabitable. We would like to help them with their lawn care for 3 months, to allow them to focus on caring for their children, the extra attention needed for their special needs child , and getting back into their home. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We currently have a youth in custody who is in a transitional house. He is needing a larger size shoe.

The youth would like a pair of high top Nike's because he is having pain in his ankles. The youth is needing a size 9 in adult men's.

Resource Linkage is assisting a foster family who suffered storm damage and were able to get an estimate of the damage of a fallen tree. The family has two sisters placed with them at this time and this would help relieve some financial responsibility. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Due to circumstances, an Aunt is getting custody of her niece. The youth does not have clothes that fit her or any toys. Her birthday is coming up and the caregiver does not have enough funds to get the things she needs. The youth is currently wearing 4T clothes.

The Care Closet in Bedford County serves families caring for non-biological children (foster, adoptive, kinship, ect). Families are able to shop at the closet on a monthly basis for the needed clothing items for their families. Additionally, we provide hygiene items, clothing, and comfort items to children within 72 hours of moving into a new home. Currently, we are out of size 4 and 5 diapers, baby/toddler socks, pull-ups, some adult socks, underwear for boys, and underwear for our teens (adult sizes both male and female).

The mother (36 yrs) is requesting a door bell camera. The mother and daughter (11 yrs) were recently involved with an extreme domestic violence case. The family was able to move due to these concerns, but the mother is wanting a camera due to them being in a new neighborhood (doesn't feel safe) and in case the perpetrator is able to locate them.

A case manager is requesting support for two siblings—an 11-year-old girl and a 12-year-old boy—who are currently in custody and residing with relatives in South Carolina. The children were previously living with their custodial aunt, who recently passed away. Following her death, they re-entered custody due to the absence of any local relatives able to take them in. Sadly, the case manager had to bring them back to Maury County on 5/6 to visit their mother, who is on life support, so they can say their final goodbyes. They will be returning them to their caregivers Friday 5/9 . While they have since been placed with extended family in South Carolina, the process of setting up financial support has taken longer than expected. The relatives caring for them have already covered significant upfront costs, including after-school care, school supplies, and school-related fees, and are now in need of additional assistance. The Family Service Worker (FSW) is requesting $200 for each child to help the family purchase appropriate clothing for the local weather and school requirements. Although the family has the means to continue caring for the children, this one-time assistance would help ease the financial burden until formal support payments begin in the coming weeks. We would love to have them lovingly cared for as they shop for their needs during such a difficult time. Social Worker can assist with shopping on Wednesday afternoon 5/7.

This grandmother needs one more chest of drawers to meet all the physical requirements of caring for her grandchildren, as outlined by DCS. Three of the children were just placed with her yesterday.

I have a mother who is going back to school to get her GED. She is currently looking for a job but is in the process of getting a paid internship. She struggles with mental and physical health issues that has caused finding and keeping a job difficult. She is needing the first month of rent paid.

A mother and her boyfriend had their 5 children placed with a family member while they work services towards reunificaiton. The family is reporting they are in need of a washer and dryer. With 5 children and two adults, the laundry piles up and she has had to wash clothes in the bathtub. The family has worked hard on services and would appreciate any help!
