Two foster children are entering new placement and are in need of a bunk bed, 2 mattresses, and bedding. The two teenage girls have moved around from home to home, and unfortunately do not have any sheets, blankets, pillows, or other bedding for themselves. The girls will be sharing a room with each other and would benefit from having a bunk bed (and mattresses) in order to save space.

Hello! I have a father who is in need of an assessment at DVIS! This father has fell on some hard times with his truck breaking down and losing his employment. Due to this he does not have the money for the initial assessment which is $95 dollars. I am in the process of getting him a bus pass but it would be extremely helpful if his assessment could be paid for as it is part of his service plan. If anyone is able to help out this Dad it would be much appreciated! Thank you!

My client is a single father who lives with his great grandmother and the grandmother has been paying all the bills while her grandson works his DHS case. His two, 2 year old twin children are in Trial Reunification with the father and he is a wonderful, loving father to his children. However, the father has struggled with maintaining employment. The great grandmother has supported him and the children for the past year and has run into financial struggles due to this. She has asked DHS for help with her rent this month. Her rent is $650. DHS is hoping two churches could split the cost and pay $325 each. This grandmother will do anything for her grandchildren. She is so embarrassed that she had to ask for help as she has always been able to pay her rent. Thank you in advance for helping this family.

Worker spoke with a biological mother who the department is working on reunifying a 15 year old child with her mother. Biological mother has done everything asked of her by the department which includes multiple UAs and services. All of this have been recommended and not court ordered. Biological mother is willing to do anything asked of her in order for her child to return home. She is needing additional assistance such as a dryer. Her dryer went out and she does not have the funds to buy another one. She is also needing a lock box and a medication divider. This is to help with her 15 year old daughter medication once she is placed in the home so that her daughter takes it as prescribed and not as any self- harm attempts like she has done in the past.

The natural mother of an amazing five year old needs assistance with paying her electricity bill. The mother recently had a close family friend she trusted take money out of her powerpay account without her knowledge. Having the money removed has caused her to fall drastically behind which resulted her power being cut off. This has been difficult due to the hot weather outside as well as her having to throw out more than half of the food in her refrigerator. If you are able to assist this incredible mother with some or all of her bill, it would be an enormous help in alleviating some of the financial stress that this family is experiencing. Thank you for your help!
