A single mother needs help with rental assistance. She has five children ages 9,6,4,1,and 5months. Her hours were reduced at work and she fell behind. Mom received a notice stating that she will be evicted if the balance on her apartment is not paid. Mom has reached for help through another agency in the past. Mom has been making monetary contributions toward her rent but is to far behind. The remaining balance on her rent is 1750.00. Any amount of help toward the balance would be appreciated.
I have a parent who was able to finally move into an apartment through the Salvation Army. The father only has outdoor chairs to sit in. The father has congestive heart failure and is sleeping on a hard floor. The Salvation Army has informed the father they would help with furniture, but no one is returning his phone calls. The Father can benefit from a bedroom set/ just a bed full size or larger. The father would also benefit from a living room set. The apartment is a one-bedroom apartment, and his 17-year-old son will be united with him. If there is a living room set the 17-year-old will have somewhere to sit and sleep. If the father gives the 17-year-old the bedroom the father will have some where to sleep and sit if a living set is provided as well.
Maternal aunt is currently caring for her nephew with special needs who was removed from the care of his parents due to abuse/neglect. The caregiver has expressed interest in providing long term care for the children should it become an option. She has reported temporary financial restraints due to missing multiple unpaid days from work. The caregiver is seeking rental assistance in the amount of $500 to assist her in maintaining the current rent/household utilities. This youth is 15 years old. She struggles with self-confidence due to extreme skin issues, bullying at school, and lack of peer relationships. Hello,
I have maternal grandparents approved to be kinship caregivers for their three granddaughters. The children are currently in foster care while we await assistance. We are in need of a bunk bed with mattresses to proceed with placement. Updated on May 19, 2023 by an Agency Worker N/A
Ms. Whigham needs assistance with furniture in her new apartment, provided by DFPS Housing Assistance Program. Ms. Whigham has a 4-month-old child and a child that recently turned 1 years old. Ms. Whigham is not asking for any specific kind of furniture, but doe's need a couch set, Queen Size Bed set for her room, Toddler Bed Set, Crib, and stroller. She needs it delivered to her new apartment since she has no family or friend assistance with anything regarding her children. Her new address is 7310 Marvin D. Love Fwy Apt. 1021 Dallas, TX 75237.
Grandmother of 6 children, ages 5month, 1, 2, 3 4 and 5. She is needing assistance with electric bill and cell phone bill. The grand mother lost her job when the children where initially placed in her home. Due to not having employment, she has fallen behind in her bills.
The assistance would help maintain the kinship placement
This case involves a grandmother caring for her 4-year old and 2-year old grandchildren. The children were recently placed with her and are sharing a bed. This family is in need of two toddler beds in order to be compliant with CPS policy. If this need is met the children will be allowed to remain with their grandmother and not be placed in a foster home of someone they don’t know.
Jade:
If a trundle bed & mattresses would work, we can cover this with our partner Dallas Furniture Bank - this is what they usually recommend for toddlers!
Aunt who is caring for her niece. She is needing assistance with the adoption licensing process. She is needing a fire extinguisher and ladder for the fire escape.
Mom is a single mother, who just relocated to Texas. Mom was a traveling nurse but had to quit her job due to her children's behaviors and not having anyone else to care for them. Mom is in the process of looking for work that does not require her to travel and therefore at this time does not have a steady income. Mom does not always have money to clean the children's clothes.
Kinship family is needing emergency assistance with household bills. The primary kinship caregiver, and sole income earner of household was recently laid off from her job. She is the caregiver for a 2, 5 and 7 year old under CPS custody. In addition, there is a new born infant who resides in the home. She has fallen behind on essential household bills. Without assistance, she runs the risk of losing access to running water, electric and gas. Without these running utilities, she runs the risk of having the children removed from her home. The children do not have another kinship caregiver who would be able to assist in caring for the children. This would lead to the children entering the foster care system.
We are trying to return a couple of children with special needs home with their mother. They have a bunk bed, but need a full size mattress for the bottom bunk. The family is also in need of a toddler bed.
Jade:
If a trundle bed suffices for toddler bed, we can supply everything - our partner, Dallas Furniture Bank recommends the trundles for toddlers since they are so low to ground. If this works, please email me.
Our student has faced so many obstacles to his education, but he is going to graduate. He does not have the resources to furnish a dorm room, but he has been granted financial aid for tuition. Please help us bless him with the personal items he needs.
