A 2nd grade student and his family were unfortunately involved in a severe car wreck. Student's father and uncle passed away and mother who was pregnant, is in a coma and baby was born a premie and currently in the NICU. The student has 3 other siblings older/younger siblings as well. They are all currently being cared for by relatives. Any amount for gas gift cards would be helpful to family as they travel back and forth between schools and hospital visits.

Single mom of 5 trying to establish a safe home and meet the household needs in order to maintain custody of her children. Mom has left an abusive relationship and is struggling to meet her children's needs as she goes through divorce and custody hearings. They are all in need of twin sized light-medium weight blankets OR comforters so they can sleep comfortably and feel secure. Children are 3 years old up to 18 years old. Mom is in need of a blanket or comforter as well.

Dallas County Permanency Court Judge Gonzales has 15 youth who have never been adopted graduating from high school this year. Some are going to college, some are staying in extended care, and some are going into the work force. We would like to provide each of them with “Launch Baskets” to support them as they enter adulthood without family supports. Each launch basket will be tailored to each youth’s specific situation and preferences and will include a Bible and items such as new bedding, kitchen and cleaning supplies, and gift cards. Family with three children recently moved into a new home, they did not have beds for the children. A twin bunk bed was provided through Careportal, but the family needs assistance with bedding as they did not have twin beds before. The family also needs assistance with a dining room table and chairs, so they have somewhere to eat.

The father (44) of two children recently passed away. he was making plans to purchase new beds and dressers for the two girls. Currently, they are sleeping on a thin mattresses on the floor in the bedroom. There is no bedroom furniture.

A single mother of three young children is in urgent need of grocery support after using her limited funds to cover an unexpected car repair. She is currently low on food and struggling to provide meals for her kids, all under age six. Temporary assistance with groceries will help ease her burden and ensure her children have access to daily nutrition. Mom is actively working to regain stability and expects to manage independently moving forward.

The family recently moved to Dallas, and they are living in a hotel room. The hotel room doesn't have good ventilation and it's causing air Quilty issues. They are a one income household. Mom does keep the room clean. She is currently savings up to move out of the hotel, but this request would help with the temporary placement she has now for her and her daughter.

This family is a single parent low-income household with two intellectually and developmentally disabled children that need constant care and attention from the parent. Mother is unable to have a full-time job to have the financial ability to provide the adequate furniture that is needed in the home. Mother does not have a lot of support from the community and the school has not been favorable of the mother which limits her access to resources. Medical care for the children is expensive and she pays for it out of pocket and her family helps her financially to pay the bills for the home.

Family is need of temporary housing, mother is currently living with her child inside of her vehicle. Child is 3 yo. Mother has been displaced an is in need of temp housing for herself, child, and dog for 2 weeks until she is able to move. mother is also in need of a car battery for a 2014 Jeep Patriot

The child is 15yo in 9th grade. The family moved from Irving to Dallas and He was no longer able to get to school in Irving. The local school in Dallas requires uniforms with the school logo and the mother is unable to afford. The child is in men sizes.

Hi, I’m following on the uniform shirts in this request. Dallas Community Partners were able to fill the request for uniform pants and shoes. We are still needing financial assistance for school uniforms purchased from the school with the logo.

Single mom with 8 children is requesting assistance with obtaining a new/used dryer. She reported it takes almost an entire day for the clothes to dry and there are 9 people total living in the home, making it difficult for her to be caught up on laundry.

Low-income single mom is requesting assistance with obtaining 2 mattresses for her younger children. They are all currently co-sleeping on 1 bed. The Department can provide air mattresses, but we are hoping for a more long-term solution.
