Help Improve a Child's Safety/Wellbeing
A dedicated single mother in our community is in urgent need of car repair assistance. After experiencing significant health challenges and a period of homelessness, she has worked incredibly hard to rebuild her life. She recently secured stable housing and employment and continues to fight for her family's well-being. This mom has been doing everything she can to get back on her feet and support her child. She even advocated for her child to receive after-school tutoring, and thanks to her persistence, it was finally approved. Just as things were starting to fall into place, her only mode of transportation broke down. Now she's facing new challenges, including getting to work, keeping her apartment, and having to pay for multiple Uber trips a day to ensure her child gets to school and receives the help she truly needs from the tutoring program. We are requesting help to cover the cost of car repairs to keep this resilient mother moving forward. She is currently working with a mechanic who has been understanding of her situation and is being patient with the payment, but support is still urgently needed. Your support can make a lasting impact by helping her sustain employment, housing, and her child's access to academic support. We appreciate any help this mom can get. Thank you for considering this request and standing with a family that is working so hard to overcome adversity.

Help Support a Youth Aging Out
Request #2
Request #1 was for the same youth, for supplies he needs as he transitions into the college dorms. This 19-year-old young man has been in the Child Welfare system for two years, but only after suffering almost a lifetime of emotional abuse as the result of living in a very violent household.
Despite his childhood trauma, he has done well, chose Extended Foster Care, and is now a NMD (Non-Minor Dependent). He will be graduating from High School in June 2025, with excellent grades. He is not employed, as he wants to focus on his education; he does do some peer tutoring for extra money.
After high school, he will be attending UCI, living on campus. He proudly says he will be the first in his family to attend college and wants to set an example for his younger sister, who is also in foster care. He is very humble, hoping he's not asking for too much. He offered to show me his grades and certificates to prove he is taking his education seriously.
He will need a lap top and is hoping for an electric scooter. He is open to a gift certificate, or having an adult help him shop for these items.
Thank you in advance.

This young man is asking for some of the “basics” as he transitions to college dorm life: sheets, towels, blankets, pillows, toiletries, school supplies, etc. He would be happy with a gift card (I am estimating $500) so he can purchase the items himself. He would also be open to having someone assist him with the shopping - he does not have transportation – and may need an adult’s guidance as to what to buy, how to budget, what needs he may not be anticipating, etc.
Additionally, he needs a laptop and is requesting an electric scooter. I will submit a 2nd request for those items.
Thank you in advance.

Help Strengthen a Bio Family
Brothers and Sisters, we have a single mother of 6 children who is pregnant and in need of a vehicle to help with an emergency situation she is currently facing. Her 6 children, ages 14, 11, 5, twins ages 1.5 years and currently pregnant expected in 2 months. One of daughters is diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and need constant care. This mother is currently facing an unimaginable hardship in which her oldest child contracted Mono (virus) and has been hospitalized for 4 months now at UCLA. Unfortunately, the doctors now believe that he now has cancer. There are great unexpected incurring medical expenses that the family is trying to figure out how they will finance this new financial challenge. However, the greatest need that this mother faces is transportation. She has been with out a car and due to lack of transportation and she is having to pay for an Uber. She only see's her son at the hospital about once per week due to great financial strain. We are asking if there is a way that you can meet the needs of getting/giving her a vehicle to travel back and forth from home to Los Angeles with her kids. The hardship is immense and we are praying that the Lord will fulfill this need. This mother has a driver's license and is able to maintain the car if one is donated to her.

Help Remove an Educational Barrier for a Child
A grandmother is preparing for an upcoming surgery and will be spending time in a recovery home as she heals. During this period, her grandson will be staying with extended family. While she focuses on her health, she is deeply concerned about ensuring he has enough nutritious food and essentials while she is away.
We are reaching out to the community for support. Any assistance—whether through grocery gift cards, or sponsorships—would be immensely appreciated to help provide for her grandson during this challenging time.
Your kindness can make a real difference for this family. Thank you in advance for your generosity.
