A single Mom with 6 children is needing assistance with gas. The family lives in Ellinwood but the children go to school in Great Bend. The mother has had so many doctor appointments with the children in Great Bend, Salina and Kansas City that she has been fired from her jobs for taking so much time off. The mom has been dependent on the grandmother to help with transportation to school and back home, but the grandmother cannot help at this time. Mom does side jobs to help support the family, but she cannot depend on that income regularly. She needs help with getting gas to take her children to school on Monday and for the rest of the school year. She has a large vehicle which burns a lot of gas. She is very appreciative of any assistance she receives and helps other families when she can.

One of the children will need surgery in June out of town and she will need help then as well. The child's medical card will reimburse for transportation, but she will need to have gas to get there to and back.

We have a student who owes fees from high school. She has been homeless a couple different times, her mom has struggled to take care of her. She works but does not have the money to pay off the fees.

Mother is a single parent after recently losing her losing her husband. She has two children, one 6th grader and one freshman. Mom is not currently working full time, and her freshman daughter is working on getting a job. The children have worn mattresses with holes and needing new mattresses. The family did not bring this to the attention of the case team nor complain. Bedding was being washed at the time of the worker's visit and observed by worker. When the possibility of new mattresses was addressed with the family, they appeared to light up at the possibility and expressed their appreciation for any help.

Single mother of 3 has been working family preservation services for a little over a month. Mother has been engaged in services and motivated to better her situation for her and her children. Mother has struggled with addiction in the past but is receiving treatment. Mother also recently left a domestic violence situation. Her children were living with a relative while she got herself situated but now that she has her own place, she is needing furniture, specifically two twin beds/mattresses for her two teenage boys.

This family is needing help getting a full-size bed frame and mattress. The mother recently moved into a new home and is working on establishing a stable environment with all basic needs for herself and her three girls. When this need is met, the family will get improved sleep at night to function better the next day. The mother will be able to feel more energized to meet her children's needs.

Family needs a full size mattress and boxsprings so her child could start having E (17yo f) stay the night with her Grandmother on visits. E has a disability and doesn't have transportation. Having her own bed in the family home would help stabilize this family. Any consideration will be greatly appreciated thank you.

The family is new to care and is looking to take their two nephews, one of which has special needs and must require extra care. They already own one bed but are looking for another. Financial restraints make it difficult to buy a new bed. Any consideration would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

The family has a nasty sectional that they got second hand. They said it had some serious stains on it when they got it. It smells really bad and has mysterious brown crusty stains and liquid staing on the cushions.

The family struggles with keeping their house clean. They just moved into new housing. So far, it's visibly clean, but smells bad partially because of the couch.

This is this child's removal home with bio mother and father. They are low income and don't have the money for furniture right now. We're trying to help them get more motivation to keep their house clean. We believe a new(ish) stain-free couch would be motivating, healthier, and better for the family to spend time on.
