• A loving grandmother and granddaughter are in need of support with clothing while they are looking for a new place to stay. As the seasons change and the teenage granddaughter has grown it has proven to be a challenge to make sure the clothes continue to fit appropriately. This family would be so grateful for any support with this while they navigate the next steps on a new place to live this would take a big burden off their shoulders. Some of their favorite places to shop are Walmart, target, Tj Maxx and Marshals gift cards to any of these stores would be more than appreciated.

Hello! We have a wonderful child in our care awaiting adoption that has multiple medical diagnoses that have existed since birth resulting in her being unable to stand, walk, or use limbs independently. She is non-verbal and has significant developmental delays, but does very much enjoy cartoons and music. She is currently placed in a long term care facility while awaiting adoption and recently her television has quit working resulting in her not having her daily entertainment after school that she so looks forward to. The facility has communicated that a 36"-42" Roku Television would be ideal and fully rotational wall mount so that she can watch from bed or her wheelchair. They requested Roku because they have extra remotes in the event that hers might be misplaced.

A domestic violence survivor single mother of twin 2 1/2 year old's with epilepsy moved to Ohio to stay safe. They have no support here and are starting completely over. They have a place now but have no money to furnish it. They will share a bed so they are looking for a Queen size mattress and low to the ground bed frame.

62198140- I’m working with wonderful family who has adopted three amazing children from foster care. Each child faces unique challenges, including fetal alcohol spectrum disorder (FASD), autism, ADHD, and anxiety. Daily struggles with elopement and meltdowns make their safety a constant concern. Every day requires vigilance and love as they work to create a nurturing environment where their children can thrive. 2 of the children struggle with elopement, putting them at risk of wandering from home. Their meltdowns, which can happen daily due to sensory overload or anxiety, sometimes result in aggression, necessitating constant supervision to ensure their safety and the safety of others. The family is in need of a secure fence which would allow the children to safely enjoy outdoor play while granting them the space to decompress on challenging days. It would serve as a deterrent to elopement and offer peace of mind. By ensuring that their playtime is separate from neighborhood children on days when they feel overwhelmed, this fence can also protect those around them. We are working with a single mother and her 3 children (ages 11, 7 and 4) who have fled their home due to domestic violence. Two of the children have special needs. She and the children are currently staying with her parents while she determines next steps. We are connecting her with legal resources and some support for basic needs. She has asked about counseling for herself and her youngest child (the other 2 children receive counseling through their school). We would love to connect her with a free counseling service, or ask if a church partner would be willing to cover the cost of a couple counseling sessions with a local provider.

A devoted and loving caregiver is currently raising her 11-year-old grandson and 4-year-old granddaughter, providing them with a safe, stable, and nurturing home. Despite facing challenges, she continues to pour her heart into giving these children the love and care they need.

Recently, her television stopped working. Watching movies together after school and in the evenings has become a cherished part of their routine—it brings comfort, helps support the children’s emotional well-being, and strengthens their bond as a family. She is hoping for support in replacing the TV, whether through a donation of a gently used one or help in obtaining a new one, so they can continue enjoying those special moments together.

Additionally, clothing gift cards would be a tremendous help, as she is on a fixed income and doing everything she can to provide for the children on her own. Any support—big or small—would make a meaningful difference in their lives and be deeply appreciated.

Single mother of two has recently left a bad relationship and moved into new housing. She has been slowly getting things she needs but is still in need of a few items.

CarePortal has helped this family before and the family stated that the people that were sent to her home are "Simply Amazing". The Loving mother is now in need of an exterminator. She stated that " Last year I stored some things in our garage for my kids birthmother. And her belongings was a stove that was infested with roaches. I have never had roaches my entire adult life and now they have taken over. It is disgusting." If there is any service, and or help that this family can be provided with, the family would gratefully appreciate it. The family has an estimate from an exterminator for $300.

Two loving grandparents have taken on full responsibility for their 12-year-old granddaughter after the sudden passing of her previous caregiver—her other grandmother. This loss has been deeply traumatic for the child, especially after experiencing five different placements before finally finding stability and love in her grandparents’ care.

The family is now facing a financial hurdle. The child began orthodontic treatment under her late grandmother, who paid $1,800 toward the total $6,800 cost. Unfortunately, the orthodontist does not accept Medicaid, and transferring care mid-treatment would be difficult, both logistically and emotionally, for the child.

These grandparents are doing everything they can to support their granddaughter through this transition. They are seeking help to cover the remaining $5,000 balance for her braces. Any support—whether partial or full—would mean so much and help this child continue her care without disruption during an already challenging time.
