A three-year old boy was recently placed in his grandmother's care. The child did not come with very much clothing and the clothing they do have, they are quickly growing out of. The grandmother is on a single-income and is struggling financially so, they are not able to purchase clothing for the child. The child is in size 5T and is in need of mostly summer clothing. The family is requesting help with any of the items listed or a gift card to Walmart to help purchase clothing for the child. Any help is appreciated, thank you!

Please help strengthen a biofamily led by the mother. The mother was a victim of severe domestic violence where she felt trapped in her own home. Mother was spied on and threatened that if she disclosed the domestic violence that she was enduring, she and the children would be killed. When mother found the opportunity to leave that situation, she had to do it promptly and without any preparation. Mother and her three children left the home with only the clothes on their back. The sudden decision was made as mother believed it was the only way to save her self and the children.

This family would really benefit from some gift cards for clothing for herself.

I Am Next is a Middle TN based nonprofit that works with youth who have aged out of foster care. We have a young mom who aged out of the system who has been in our program for awhile. She is currently on a housing voucher at the apartment complex we own. She has a 1.5 year old little boy and pregnant with another little boy due in August. She is in need of some maternity clothes as she outgrows her normal clothes. She also has mentioned needing clothes for both boys: sizes 18 months and newborn. She also could use a heating pad. Child has grown up in and out of foster care. Child was raised without knowing who his father was. In 2023 Mother named a man, after DNA results, in Dec 2023- the child found out who his biological father was. Much to father's surprise, as he was informed he could not have children. Father quickly began visiting and getting to know his son. Over a year has passed since they have first met and things have dramatically changed for father and son. They attend family therapy together and are building their relationship. Father was displaced after breaking up with his girlfriend who was not welcoming to the child, after the breakup father was set to move to a home in Pasadena in Jan 2025. Sadly, the home they were supposed to move into- was burned down by the Eaton Fire. Father found housing in Glendora. Father is in need of a couch, dining table and even a TV. Child loves to play video games and uses video games to escape and get his mind off of things such as the emotional toll that visits with his mother and siblings. Father has worked so hard to be able to find a stable place that court can release the child to, and despite his initial home that burned down; he did not give up and did not let that bring him down.

The family is composed of the mother, 3 children, and the father of the youngest child. The father is employed and is the main source of income for the family. The mother indicated that she sells different items online to support the family financially. The baby was born prematurely and has been in the NICU ever since. The mother reported that although the family was preparing for the child’s arrival, due to economic hardships they have not been able to afford the baby’s car seat. If an infant car seat is provided to the family, it would ensure the child’s safety travel and overall wellbeing by ensuring he can attend medical appointments.

This request is for a young adult female currently in her junior year of high school, who experiences ongoing financial hardship within her family. She plays a significant role in caring for her younger sister, who has special needs. Despite these responsibilities, she maintains consistent school attendance and holds a part-time job. However, the job is located far from her home and provides limited hours.

She has expressed interest in applying for jobs closer to home that may offer more consistent hours, but she faces transportation challenges. The family car recently broke down, and she currently depends on others outside the home for rides, which has proven unreliable. She is looking for a bicycle or another form of transportation to help her access more stable employment opportunities.

This is a single mom who is currently pregnant and due at the beginning of June. She has requested an infant car seat and a stroller. She is moving into a shelter this week. Mom lacks a support system and is trying to rebuild a better life for herself and her child.

We have a beautiful new family that arrived last week from Afghanistan. They came with nothing and currently the government funding is not available. we have helped the family secure housing and most of the furniture needed. they hopefully will move into the apartment in the next few days.

I am advocating for a mom of 2 who has had a stroke paralyzing her left side. While ordering a wheelchair for her, we discovered she is sleeping on a mattress on the floor. This mom has had three back surgeries and needs her bed high enough to be comfortably transferred in and out of bed and to be able to rest well. She is very humble and grateful for any help she may receive.

Glocal provides baby showers for over 60 new moms each year. these women are refugees who may be having their first baby in this country and often don't speak English. the ABC bears help the parents and the children learn simple English together and are a cherished present at the baby showers.
