We are working to reintegrate a survivor of human trafficking and her 8 kids. The mom has recently obtained stable permanent housing for her family. Her current need is assistance with getting her car running so that she can have transportation for work, kids, etc. Grace Mobile Repair has been working with her to assess her car's needs. She currently needs a new battery to get the car up and running to see what other issues (if any) the car may need repaired. A church family that would be willing to supply the cost of the battery and other potential car repairs would be much appreciated!

Hey CarePortal family, this is another much needed request for this mom and family. After being homeless for 2 years, mom has found a safe and affordable place to reside however, there isn't a refrigerator. Another household item that she needs is a bed. Mom is trying to create a safe and loving environment for her and her family and we are asking for any help with these two items.

The family is needing the following as mother and baby recently moved in with grandmother in Wichita KS. Mom has little to nothing and has been calling around, needing assistance for items. Male baby clothes size 3 months (mostly summer clothes is needed), diapers size two, bottles for a baby under the age of one. Items also needed, if able to obtain is a couch and dining table. Grandmother is doing the best she can to work and provide some of these items, but she is the only adult working.

There are two children 7 (Boy) and 10 (Girl) The family is also needing 2 fans to help keep the house cool. The family also needs beds a bunk bed with a Twin sized top and a full sized bottom bunk for the two children. The family is also needing pest spray for ants. Family currently has limited resources.

Mother reported to CPS worker that she does not have money to pay her rent. Currently she is living with one child in a one bedroom apartment in Wichita. She is employed full-time. Mother also recently found out she's pregnant and is not sure of her due date. Money for rent will need to be sent to Mullen Court Apartments.

Children were placed in Protective Custody and released to aunt. There are 8 children that aunt is caring for, in addition to her own 3 children. The family has moved beds from the children family home but are missing a couple. The family is needing 2 twin size mattresses and a bunkbed to have the room to set them up in her home. Bedding would be helpful as well for each of the beds for the bunk. Additionally, she is needing some plastic drawers or a couple dressers to store the children clothing while the children are in her care. There will be an toddler and an infant in the home as well and she needs two baby gates for her stairs.

Mom is living in a home with 3 of her kids and is unemployed and looking for employment after major surgery a month ago. Family has had water shut off and has not had running water for 5 days almost going on for 7. This mother needs help bridging the gap and would benefit from any financial assistance that may considered.

$500.00 is what is needed at this time. Mother is diligently looking for employment.

A struggling single mom with three children needs your help with her last bit of rent for May, before the landlord starts eviction. The mom recently had knee surgery which caused a job loss, and one of the children has been in the hospital with a heart condition. The mom has a new job starting June 1st. Children 1st and others have gotten the families' electric and gas bills paid enough for a payment plan ($2,800), but we cannot help with this rent.

Hey family, while we are continuing to "help people intentionally" I have an adult female that has been homeless for two long years. She was released from confinement (arrested for domestic disturbance) and upon returning to her home she found that her family had evacuated the home and she was given an eviction notice. This meant she had to start anew, and she was able to do odd jobs to earn money while actively looking for permanent work. While going to AA and NA meetings (self directed, not required) unfortunately she was robbed of $700 and doesn't have $500 for rent this month. Her goal is to reunite with her 3 children in a safe and stable home.

A resilient family is working hard to rebuild their lives and create a stable, loving home for their children. Recently, their 13-year-old son was joyfully reintegrated into their care. This transition has come with numerous mental health appointments and emotional support needs, which the father has made a priority-so much so that he lost his job while ensuring his son received the care he deserved. Though the father has since found new employment, the position pays significantly less, and the family has fall behind on essential bills, including utilities. They are now facing the heartbreaking possibility of losing access to basic services. The household also includes a bright and spirited 5-year-old with extensive needs, and the family is actively preparing to welcome their daughter back into their home as well. Their hearts are full, but the challenges are many. Support during this time would make an immediate and lasting impact. Keeping the utilities on will not only prevent disruption to their daily lives, but also allow the family to focus on nurturing their children, healing together, and building the future they're all working so hard to create. With this help, they will be able to maintain stability and continue moving forward with hope and strength.

A two-parent family who has recently moved into their new home, obtaining stable housing. They need a bed for their youngest son (2 years old), and a kitchen table (family of 4). When this need is met, the family's youngest child will have a safe and comfortable place to sleep. Additionally, the family will have a proper dining table where they can share meals together, do homework and create family time together in their new home.

Hi CarePortal Family. While we continue to "help people intentionally", I have a bio family that has experienced a sudden loss of income. Mom was released from her management position without; notice, write-up, warning or explanation from her company and needs immediate help. She is trying to maintain her household that includes a three year old grandchild that is direct by the courts to live with her due to abuse. Mom need urgent help with her electric bill ($1,510.69) while she is actively exploring other job resources. Any help towards this utility would be greatly appreciated.
