Bio mother was victimize and now she and her son are homeless. They are needing a place to stay for the weekend. I am requesting a hotel room for three nights from Friday to Monday Morning at 11am, as mother can lose her son for sleeping in the car. The three night stay at Sky Place Inn Suites Wichita Kansas 7321 E Kellogg Dr, will total between $175-$180.

Single mom who moved her from Africa to better her life. Mom was recently accepted into a CNA program, so that she can start working here and better her life for her and her son. mom has acquired a daycare willing to accept her son. Due to DCF not paying for parents just in school mom is needing help paying for her sons daycare for the five weeks she is in school and then taking the state exam. Mom is requesting $140 a week for five weeks so her son has reliable childcare. Mom's school starts on May 5/6 and ends 6/3.

We have a teen, female youth who cam into care due to struggling with her mental health and developmental issues that caused her to have behaviors that made the living environment unsafe for others in the home. Her developmental delays hinder her in a way that she will require assistance for daily living upon transitioning out of foster care. It has been arranged for her to move into adult IDD (Intellectually and Developmentally Disabled) housing. She is excited to move into a home with others who share her experiences. She is also excited about graduating high school in may and has begun looking for employment opportunities. To be able to successfully transition into her adult IDD housing, she is in need of some household supplies. We have been able to get her some essentials but she is still in need of a nightstand, dresser, lamp, and television. Any assistance in getting these remaining items for her would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

There are two children in the home, (Female 10) and (Male 15). Family is needing help with fixing or replacing their water heater. It is a 40 gal with an estimate cost of $400.

The family has completed 8 weeks of intense case management and made progress to keep the home clean. The family is needing a series of pest control services to provide a healthy environment and take over after the series is complete.

A grandmother who has of her 4-year-old grandchild living with her needs to have a washer and dryer in the home to ensure the child has access to clean clothing and bedding at all times, which is essential for their health, hygiene, and overall well-being. Having an in-home washer and dryer provides the grandmother with the convenience and ability to respond quickly to these needs. It also helps maintain a stable, clean, and nurturing environment, which is critical for the child’s development and emotional security. Grandmother cannot afford to buy washer and dryer due to limited income.

A single mother saved money to move herself and her two children out of the family home that was unsafe. Mother needs assistance with a bunk bed and two twin size mattresses for the children's bedroom. Thank you, Care Portal community, for considering this request!

This Grandmother has heart failure and is responsible for the well being of 3 children ages 3 months, 5 years and 7 years old. Recently, her vehicle was stolen and totaled. She is in so much debt and could not afford auto insurance. Because she needs relief, her request is for $200 to file Bankruptcy and two $50 gas cards.

A family recently arrived from Africa fleeing their war-torn community. Dad, mom (who was pregnant with twins), and 3 children (ages 11, 9 and 6) travelled 2,500 miles, a good portion of it on foot, praying that they would be able to stay together and would be safe. The family was given refugee status and brought to America. They are in an apartment and do not know the language yet. Dad and mom are trying to set up a new home with their 5 children and have received assistance from His Helping Hands for furniture.

A Pathway member has met some of their other needs as she walks with them and one of their twins who has special needs.

Their current, most immediate needs are for a double stroller for the twins and preemie diapers. Thank you for supporting this family.
