Clay County Children's Division is needing a few baby bottles for infants. There are times when children enter custody and are in the office while placement is being located. We need to have a few bottles in our supply room to assist if the child is young and no bottles are provided by the parents when the initial removal occurs. We are requesting 6 to 10 bottles; these can be used as long as they are clean/sanitized. We are also requesting small cans of formula for this same reason. Formula does expire, so we are requesting 3 small cans of formula. Individual servings/pouches of powdered formula work great as well.

Hello, I have a family I am working with that have a couple of small children that like to sneak out and escape from the home. The mother is often by herself and is in need of alarms and safety handles to avoid two of the children from leaving the home while she is cooking, taking care of the baby, etc. The family is in need of the sound alarms that stick to the door/windows. They will need a minimum of 2/pack. Also, the round knob door safety covers for 2 doors in their home. Thank you for your consideration.

Children's Division has been working with two caregivers of a newborn relative that was placed into their care. The family just moved into their own apartment, they are in need of a couch. Both caregivers have been working extra to afford expenses for moving as well costs associated with care for their newborn. Helping fill this need will create a more comfortable living environment for these two caregivers, which in turns will help the child.

Two children are currently in foster care placed with their maternal grandmother. The mother of the children has moved into her own apartment and is trying to obtain furniture for her two children. She has a 4 month old and a 16 month old.

Bio Mom has recently moved into her own place and has previously been homeless. She is in need of all household goods in order for her child to return home and for reunification to occur. Mom is happy to have her own place and this is a big step for her, but she needs lots of support and furnishings. This request would help to make her new place a suitable home and allow baby to possibly be reunited with her.

This request is being made in order to keep two boys with their biological Uncle as placement. Uncle is needing money for gas in order to travel back and forth to complete the licensure process in order to continue being placement for his nephews.

Two children, 2 and 11, recently entered Children's Division custody. They were placed with their great parents who they are very familiar with. The great grandparents need assistance with a few items to maintain the placement of the toddler. Helping with the items will keep the siblings together with a family member they have a great relationship with.

The placement needs help getting the toddler a crib as he is currently in a pack-n-play he has outgrown. Additionally, it puts a physical strain on the great grandparents to pick the toddler up out of the pack-n-play because of how close it is to the ground. Both children are in need of a pillow. The toddler is in size 5 diapers and the placement would benefit from diapers, wipes, and little swimmers. The children are excited to swim in the neighborhood pool this summer. The toddler is near potty training and the supplies being requested is a potty chair/seat for him.

Hello, We are requesting 20.00 for a drug test for the mother in this case. We have to have a test completed by 4:30 pm today to keep the children in the home. We requested one earlier for the mother's boyfriend and the mother thought she could get one from her probation officer. That ended up not being the case and we are requesting the 20.00 for the mother now, as well. Thank you, Deb Walker

Mother is currently needing help due to recent injury at work and getting paid less. She is concerned about her son stealing the marijuana she is using to assist her medically and that is causing major tension in the household. Mother has asked to see if we can help get her a medical lock box for her personal belongings.

Youth recently moved into her own apartment and needs a fire extinguisher

This family has been living in a broken apartment for a while now, and finally got approved for a new apartment. However, they are requiring a month and a half rent for the first month, which Mom did not budget for. Once this initial rent has been paid (due June 1st) Mom reports they can easily make rent every month, just the extra half a month was too much for their already tight budget. Mom is pregnant, and they would like to move into the new place as soon as possible, as the old apartment is not suitable to live in currently. Once rent has been paid, the family can start moving into their new, non broken home.

There is a single mother with three children in need of a stove and a refrigerator. She has a gas hookup for her stove but does not have her gas turned on, so she would need an electric stove along with the adaptor to make it work in a gas hook up. She is not currently working, but does have a job interview on the 19th of May.
