A biological family needs your help to reunify. Mother has worked very hard and completed nearly all of her treatment goals. She moved into a home recently and needs help furnishing the necessary items in order for her children to move in. The family is in need of beds and a couch/futon for the living area. She works, but as a single mother the financial strain of moving in, with the addition of the added costs for furniture places a barrier for her to provide a stable and sufficient home for her children.

A godmother is placement for her godson, aged 18 months. She is requesting a crib for him to sleep in, to help follow safe sleep.

A kinship caregiver is placement for her godchildren, ages 1 and 4. She is requesting a queen-sized mattress protector, as she is working on potty training the 4-year-old. She is also requesting a lockbox for her firearm ammunition.

A grandmother is placement for her two grandsons. She is requested smoke and CO2 detectors, as well as a fire extinguisher. She is also requesting twin mattress protectors, as she is potty training the children. She is requesting twin sized sheets for their beds, as well.

DCS has been involved since September of 2024. The children, twin boys age 2, were recently placed on TTV with mother on April 24th. Mother recently moved into a new home that had a washer and dryer, however, it is not working and mom is currently traveling an hour from her home to a friends home so she does not have to pay for laundry. Mom is employed full time and the children attend daycare.

I’m helping a single mom of four who just moved into a new home. She’s facing health challenges and can’t manage her lawn. We’re hoping someone might be willing to mow her yard or donate a mower. This would help her avoid fines and save money she doesn’t have.

A mother and her three child are in need of beds. Mother has a bed but her 3 child don't. Mother fell on some bad times and lost her kids beds during a move. Mother is in need of two twin beds and a toddler bed. Mother works full time but in in the saving process of getting back out on her own. Mother is not able to buy the items at this time.

I've got a family of 7, 2 of the children have twin sized mattresses but the other 3 children do not have beds. Both parents work just need a little assistance on getting beds for the children.

A 7 month old baby boy is in need of a crib and bedding. Child is in a pack-in-play right now. Placement is willing to adopt him so he has his forever home. Placement is in need of a crib and placement is not able to buy one due to caring for him full time.

I am working with an aunt who recently took in her nephews (ages 4 and 5) after her mother (the boys placement/guardian) passed away in February. We had purchased a bed for the boys when they were initially placed with grandmother, but since her passing the family is unsure what happened to the bed. Since DCS cannot purchase another one, I am asking the Care Portal to provide a full bed for this family. Aunt is doing a great job of meeting the boys needs and ensuring they are loved and supported through this difficult time, after losing their grandmother. DCS has had an open case with a family since 2023 where the children were removed. One of the children has been reunited with bio mom on a trial home visit, she has another child who comes home to start trial home visit later this Month, and she just gave birth to another baby girl. Mom is doing really well and also purchased beds and toys for the kids coming home but purchasing the beds financially hit her hard, especially just having a new baby to also care for. Mom stated the only thing she needs for when her other child comes home is a dresser but she does not have the financial means to purchase one. Mom has everything needed for the baby but stated the only thing she does not have is a baby bath. When CarePortal was mentioned to her she was so excited and stated she would be extremely grateful for any assistance to show her kids she has a safe and happy home.

This family consists of a single mother of 3 children. The family consists of two girls and 1 boy ranging from 7-9 years old. The family recently moved into a new home to ensure the safety and stability of the children. They have exhausted community resources in obtaining items to furnish the home and were able to obtain 3 twin bed frames for all 3 of the children but are still in need of 3 twin mattresses for the children.
