Realoptions East San Jose has an urgent need for diaper sizes 4 & 5, our most commonly requested sizes. Many of our patients are parents of growing babies who have outgrown smaller diaper sizes. Size 4 and 5 diapers are in high demand and often run out quickly, yet they’re essential for keeping older babies clean, healthy, and comfortable. Your donation helps us support families facing financial hardship—thank you for making a difference in their daily lives.

Every child deserves a safe and comfortable place to sleep—especially during visits with a parent they’re working to reconnect with. Right now, we’re helping a teenage boy who visits his mother on weekends as part of their reunification process. While he looks forward to seeing her, he has no bed to sleep on during his stay and ends up spending the night on the floor. A simple queen-size air mattress would give him the rest, comfort, and dignity every young person deserves. Your donation or purchase of an air mattress can make a real difference in helping this teen feel at home, even when home is still being rebuilt. Support with delivery of the item would be very helpful OR we are more than happy to pick it up!

We are supporting a resilient single mother of four as she navigates the challenges of life while raising her children, aged 16, 14, 11, and 7. This mom works tirelessly, juggling long hours at her job and parenting responsibilities to ensure her children have a roof over their heads and food on the table. Although her journey has been difficult and she has faced some setbacks, she strives to fill her home with love and safety. As summer approaches and all four kids will be out of school, the burden of childcare and increased expenses becomes heavier for her. She is using her paycheck and available resources to cover basic needs, but the financial strain of feeding four children at home and the lack of affordable childcare options has left her feeling overwhelmed and anxious. Meeting her family's needs will provide her with the peace of mind necessary to continue supporting her children and ensure stability during the summer months. Enrolling the children in the Boys & Girls Club will provide them with a safe and structured environment while their mother works. Additionally, it will foster their educational, social, and emotional development. The Boys & Girls Club offers enriching programs, positive mentorship, and a strong sense of belonging. Also with rising food costs and daily commuting expenses, your support would significantly alleviate the financial pressure this mother faces. It would also ensure that her children have access to nutritious meals throughout the summer.

We’re reaching out to our community with a special request. A loving young family who is going through a difficult time needs your help. They’re currently separated, but during their limited visitations, they treasure every moment spent together. The parents have no way to carry their infant safely and comfortably during these visits—something as simple as a stroller would make a world of difference. Imagine trying to hold a baby for hours while walking or waiting in public spaces, all while trying to savor each precious minute. If you have a gently used stroller to give, or are able to donate toward the purchase of one, you’ll be giving this family not just a piece of equipment—but a chance to be together in comfort, dignity, and love. Support with delivery of the item would be very helpful OR we are more than happy to pick it up!

A mother who is a newcomer to the United States from Afghanistan recently separated from her husband with her daughter (age 4) due to domestic violence. The mother has no funds and is trying to figure out how they will get hot meals to their hotel while they figure out how they will be able to get to her family, who lives in Virginia. The mother and child could benefit from gift cards to get hot food or groceries from a local Afghan restaurant. The mother is working on getting all her documents to get a one-way ticket to Virginia but would need help purchasing the ticket for herself and her daughter to reunite with her family to keep themselves safe away from the father. Anything would help this family, thank you.

This is for a minor & her 8-month baby boy. This minor is funny, witty, smart, social, & insightful. She is a leader and makes friends easily. She is working hard to overcome trauma. As a young parent, she is open to learning new skills & supporting her baby’s development. She loves her happy, active, smiley baby! Having experienced foster care herself, she was devastated when her baby was temporarily removed from her & is striving to prioritize making decisions for her + baby’s safety. She is also expecting a second child and can benefit from a maternity body pillow so that she can get appropriate rest as well as items to support her to be more comfortable in her pregnancy. This minor has been impacted by the juvenile justice system and is working to remove barriers to gain employment. A gift card to Sephora would help her obtain makeup that will allow her to cover up facial tattoos and support her to walk into an interview or space feeling confident. Youth has facial tattoos and is in need of a gift card to Sephora to support with purchasing foundation and other makeup. This would support her with covering up her tattoos when seeking and obtaining employment.

Youth is a young parent and is also in urgent need of baby clothes for 7 month old baby boy. New and gently used clothes welcome. Sizes 9 months and 9-12 months needed. Baby currently has minimal clothing that fits him.

Examples of items needed:

Youth is an expecting parent and is need of a new pregnancy pillow to support her with sleeping comfortably as she continues to advance in pregnancy.
