A Single mother is struggling to feed her teenage children as she does not get her food stamps until next week. She reports to just need enough food to make it through the weekend. The mother was working but her teenage son had a bike accident and broke both of his arms. She is having to care for her son as she had a cast on both arms. He just had surgery on Monday as well. She has a car but it is messed up at this time and she does not have the funds to fix it. She has been going to food pantries but now does not have transportation.

The family is being evicted and is in need of a place to stay, due to being evicted today. The mother has supports locally, but they are not appropriate caregivers. The children are ages 12, 4, and 2. The mother is ineligible for some of the homeless shelters in the area due to having a buprenorphine prescription. The department is requesting assistance in paying for a hotel for a few days while DCS works with the family on an appropriate plan.

I am working with a family of four children and a single mother who are in need of some assistance with outdoor maintenance and clothing. The family is in need of lawncare equipment, specifically a push lawnmower and 2-cycle oil for a weed eater to assist the family in tidying up the outside of their residence. If someone would be willing to cut their lawn the first time to get it more manageable, as it is quite high, the family would not be opposed to that either. The family is also requesting clothing for two elementary schoolers, one male, one female. The male child wears size 5/6 and the female child wears size 8/9.

Single working mom of 1 teenage boy currently staying with family 30 minutes away from his school due to AEP cutting her electricity off prior to her being able to work on a solution. Mom has attempted to get other solutions and is maintaining other bills at this time. Mom is driving her son to and from school at this time and child has good attendance. The total bill is $1,219.84 but to restore services it is $1,047.74.

Children were palced with their biological father due to an emergency placement need. Father was not fully prepared to take on three children and is lacking resources. Father is in need of beds for each child.

I have a family with three students that recently moved to this area with hardly anything. The three children in the home are needing school/ weather appropriate clothing in order to attend school comfortably.

I have a family who is in need of a new refrigerator. It is a family of a mother and 3 children. The mother works full time and does not receive other financial resources. They have recently had a rat issue in the home and a rat has died in their refrigerator. The family is in need of a new or used (still in working condition) refrigerator.

Single mother with 3 teenage children with the oldest (15) being special needs (wears diapers and nonverbal) and youngest being 12 working to get better housing for herself and children after recent separation. Mother has found a place and landlord and is awaiting a confirmation. Mother has money for rent but needs assistance with the deposit as she has a lower paying wage in food service industry. The deposit is a month's rent of $895.

We have a mom and two kids that have been displaced from their home. They are currently living in a motel and would appreciate any assistance with next week's motel bill. They are looking but unsure when they will be able to leave the motel to find permanent housing. Any assistance for this family is greatly appreciated!

Home repair needs: The family consists of a single mother and 6 children. (4 whom live in the home, 1 residing with kin, and a child that is currently in custody of DCS that will be returning home soon. The father is deceased and the family has no other reliable supports. This family has severe trauma and other past concerns and are not new to The Department of Children's Services. The mother works and is able to barely meet daily needs. This family is resilient and has strength as a family unit that has kept them in their home for over 15 years. The home is in need of repairs that include of a sturdy front door and 4 Exterior windows or new replacement glass. The needed repairs are due to the age of the home and living near a school with a play ground and baseball field within walking distance. DCS has been involved with this family for many concerns stimming from the traumas experienced. This family needs someone to help with the needs of their home so that they can focus on the other daily family needs. This family is continuously working with DCS to comply with all concerns and will be grateful for any used or new resources provided . This will help in the cost of heating and cooling the home. Any help would be greatly appreciated. This act of kindness will provide the family with resources to then focus on their emotional and mental health knowing that they will be safe in their physical space and is a best trauma reduction practice. The family DCS is requesting services for is comprised of a single father and teenage daughter. DCS has been involved to equip the family with resources or services to aide in the family remaining non-custodial. Father and daughter report no needs, their humility and resilience doesn't go unnoticed, but their needs are very important to DCS in ability to function at their best. This request is for 2 beds and 2 clean mattresses. it is noticed that both father and daughter sleep in a home with minimal furniture, but have a safe roof over their heads. The father currently sleeps on a make shift bed on the floor in his room, and the daughter sleeps on a dirty mattress in her room and limited bedding. The daughter often is tardy or absent from school that may be a consequence of lack of sleep. The father visibly struggles to stand from a floor position and often reports physical discomfort. This youth loves playing in her schools orchestra where she plays the violin and is very positive in demeanor. Although the father has raised his daughter alone with a small budget, he has not been able to afford these items. The youth would like to have a clean bed and clean bedding for her family home. The family is working all recommendations that DCS has provided without hesitation and continues to get support through DCS Family Support Services Program, to keep the youth out of custody. It is with great appreciation for any consideration for this families needs. Will take used
